Quake Champions July Hotfix

We have released a hotfix that updates the game with new content and server updates.

New Content



  • New Arena Kings map, DIVIDE - Two opposing cliffsides with minimal cover divided by a foggy ravine that will deal minor damage and teleport the player back up if they fall in!
  • New Arena Kings map, MIDAIR - Box map with a no-damage "red zone" at the ground level. Shoot your opponent dealing knockback to knock them up into the air and out of the red zone where they then become vulnerable!

Quake Champions Season 19 Update

Salutations, Quakers!

Today's Season 19 update features improvements and optimizations to the game engine, in addition to balance changes and beach-themed Battle Pass content, just in time for summer!

We have also included the Season 17 and Season 18 patch notes below the current season's notes, for your perusal.

Season 19 Battle Pass


We're going to the beach in this season's Battle Pass, with items like a new surfboard for Anarki; a fishing hat for BJ and a sun hat for Nyx; new watergun skins for the Lightning Gun and Tri-bolt; and your own little slice of the sandy shore with a new Summer Beach Podium!


Engine Updates



  • Set a max fps cap at 300, to address gameplay issues we have identified occur when your opponents are running higher framerates than their max packet rates
  • Increased max packet rate from 200 to 300
  • Reduced max Lag Compensation period and history size from 300 ms to 200 ms

It's the holiday season, and that means a new Quake Champions update with a ho-ho-host of new content—including an all-new map, Crucible!

Crucible



It is when the souls of the damned are tested and forged beneath the endless pool of night in the cauldron of the ebb and flow, which one discovers their true worth: nothing.
Crucible is available for Duel, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Clan Arena modes!

Podiums



Podiums are a new type of vanity item to collect and display beneath your Champion in the Lobby! Players can now access Podiums through a new customization menu in their Profile. (Listed just below the Profile Icon & Nameplate customization.)

Champion Updates


  • Death Knight - Fixed Fire Trail activation. Removed damage from standing on the trail, in exchange for it 100% applying the fire dot (which is still 10dmg/sec for 7 seconds)
  • Sorlag - Ally spit now has blue steam above it, so you know it's safe

    • rocket explosions within 200ms
