Fixed: Cursor was not shown in the options Menu. This is what prompted the hotfix because not being able to see the mouse cursor is a problem.

This update is to finish some features that were half implemented in the last update!
Here is what is coming in future updates.

  • looking into a better survival experience. More changes are coming! Not exactly sure on date yet.
  • thinking about taking a different approach to level 1. This level seems a bit bland for what it should be. so we will be doing an overhaul of that level in the coming updates!

General Changes
Fixed: Weapons that are locked where showing old weapon stats image over top of what is now text.
Fixed: Healing was possible to go past 100 health.

Weapon Changes

Pistols

  • Fixed: Silencer with dual wield didn’t work for animations while reloading.


Shotguns

    Executioner
  • Shotgun action after firing got faster
  • Damage Increased to 20-23 damage instead of 10-13.
  • Developer Comments: Overall thought this weapon was really weak especially after the weapon changes with range.

Sniper Rifles

    Silent Killer
  • Canister MK2 Never worked at all. The fire rate wasn't building correctly with or without it.
  • Fire rate was wrong. Corrected to the right amount!
  • Damage has decreased to 100-105 instead of 115-130.
  • Developer Comments: overall with the fixes made it made this weapon a whole lot better but had to change damage so it wasn't too overpowered.

Survival
Added: Healing now works in survival!
Changed: Health Perk now gives you medkits to heal

Quietus Allurement Demo Update 12: Sounds and Improvements!

This update has been in the works for a while and I got to say its an amazing update.
Here is what is coming in future updates.

  • Making further changes to Weapon stats when adding attachments
  • looking into a better survival experience.

Patch Notes


General Changes
Added: A death sound plays when you died screen pops up.
Added: Healing in story now has a sound effect to go with it.
Added: Ground monsters now have death animations.
Added: Flying monsters and ground monsters Squish gore sound.
Added: Gore sounds for all non critical shots
Added: Gore sounds for all critical shots.
Added: Gore sounds for all explosives
Added: Gore sound Volume Slider In options So you can turn these down or even off.
Changed: Death screen shows up till the sound stops.
Fixed: Explosive weapons were creating duds. From Initial Testing it appears to be working better.
Fixed: Potential Memory leak with the dead monster objects
Fixed: Crash when using Phantom and switching to the next level when you are out of ammo on your clip.

Weapon Changes
Added: Silencers now lower the detection range of Monsters Making silencers actually useful
Added: Silencers now lower the range by 1. And is shown in the attachment screen. Other Stats of how other attachments make a difference are still work in progress.
Changed: Bullet Type weapons fire max damage but range is a factor for damage falloff..
Punchline

  • Damage has been decreased to 14-18 as I thought with the bullet damage changes was way too powerful for tier one weapons.

Fallen Angel

  • Changed: Bolt action is now a little faster and has been reworked to sound a lot better.
  • Changed: Fallen Angels damage was increased.
  • Developer comments It felt like this change was necessary as I thought it was underpowered for what it should be doing.

M.I.A

  • Damage wasn’t set correctly so it caused it to do lower damage than intended.

Electric

  • Damage wasn’t displayed in the buy menu of survival.
  • BUG: This weapon doesn't show up in the weapon showcase. This is planned to be reworked as changes need to be made.


Story Changes
Fixed: Player Arms stopped moving when running noticeable in level 1.
Changed: In Elevator level Monsters used to despawn now they don’t. Have Fun!

Survival Changes
Added: TNT drop now plays a sound.
Added: Revive Bomb now plays a sound when it activates.
Fixed: Player Arms in survival with no weapon will act as running now.
Planned Reworks
Health Perk
Instead of Health giving you health right away it will be changed to where you have get a medkit again and you have medkit healing like Story mode has. But you will also receive 3 at the start of each survival game. Healing is In progress of being switched over The UI has been switched but that is about it at this moment.

Hello everyone, its been a while since I last posted any update. Anarxix and I will be hosting an event On Friday at 7pm central time. He will be experiencing the game the first time and also showing off the huge update that is coming soon to the Demo for all of you! I've known Anarxix for a long while now. He is a really awesome streamer and a filmmaker and has been a really good friend! Over the last month to two months I've been working really hard on this update and I kept showing Anarxix the updates I've been making and been right there pushing me along on this long winded update. Quietus Allurement Demo Update 11: New things and fixes!

Current Progress


We haven't really had much time working on our game but I have been thinking of some new things that I really wanted to get working and getting it to work was difficult but we got there and we also fixed up some of the survival bugs and other quality of life things in survival.


Patch Notes


Added: Falling platform now breaks instead of disappears! Sometimes it can be a bit buggy and will need more testing.
Added: When Alarms go off the lights will now change from what they were.
Fixed: Survival Monsters would get stuck in the ground causing them to glitch out and not let you progress.
Fixed: Melee In survival mode wasn't working correctly.
Fixed: In survival when no weapon is selected the hand will change to an empty hand

In the last month we have been taking a lot of time trying to get these features working correctly. I doesn't seem like much. but Its definitely worth the wait! We are going to be working more on survival stuff and fixing some more issues with that also finishing up the info pages is the next thing as well!

Thanksgiving


For those that celebrate Thanksgiving I want to say happy thanksgiving and I'm thankful for all the support that you have given over the last few years. We are on our way to getting closer to release this game. Its still quite a way away yet. but I don't think i would be this far if it wasn't for all of you.


Patch Notes


Added: Controller Support options for audio making this system a whole lot easier to manage.
Added: Controller Disconnected Alert when it drops connection..
Added: Full Screen borderless as an option.
Added: Loadout Info screen.
Fixed: Perk Names weren’t being drawn in survival. This was due to the info screen.
Changed: Keep Blood system Is now rendering correctly. This system worked but wasn't easy to see if there was stuff hiding in front of it being so bright. This change makes the blood look darker so you can see.
Removed: Debug information from the top of ground monsters.

Melee doesn't work correctly in survival.
Ground Monsters get stuck in survival and are confused.

Quietus Allurement Demo Update 9: Melee Update/Fixes

Current Progress


In the last month we have been doing a lot of changes the main change has been Melee.. Melee has been the most ineffective thing that was in the game. Well now that is more effective. This change is gonna make things a whole lot different. Its not a perfect system as I want to expand this feature in the future but its a huge improvement from before. We are still hard at work on the game and we are thinking about doing an in-game event to where you might be able to play test a New survival map?? but will have more details on that when that gets closer. As I'm not sure exactly how i would do that at this moment.

Added: Survival Drops in info menu has been added.

Added: Melee actually works. Does a little damage and stun the enemy.
Ground Monsters are really hard to stun. Might improve this system for ground monsters.

A look back in the past and Looking towards the future!!

As you may know My store paged launched 2 years ago today! Its been a crazy 2 years with so many big things happening! With 13 Demo updates some smaller update and some bigger ones. I want to show you somethings about the past and where we are now and what's coming in the future!

2017 Where it all started!


So I started to game development around 2014 and around 2017 I had a really good start. I really liked the direction I was going. this is a preview of what my game looked like back then. Its crazy to think this was before I didn't know what I was missing.

Around this time I was working on designing my own weapons for a future game and at that time I didn't think about putting my own weapons in the game. This was before I got a new computer. When I got a new computer i loaded up my project and tried to run it. Nothing worked it crashed on start and It was just impossible to fix. Late 2017 I had restarted my whole project.

2020 New ideas and direction


Now we fast forward 3 years and I got my game to a working state and was really happy with the direction I was going but I wanted to implement Attachments for weapons and I had a little bit of a base line for it but wasn't able to get it to work in the current state. Here is what it looked like in its early state.

so in October I restarted once again but it wasn't completely over I still had good bones I just redid it to look a whole lot different and actually work with what I wanted like weapon attachments.

2021 to Where we are today


A year later I had a lot going for me. I had a lot of cool weapons with weapon attachments and got to the point of having at least 8 weapons working. A lot changed from then to now. we didn't even have all the weapons designed yet but we got that done I kept pushing for a new weapon and kept trying to push for more and bigger things. Now we skipped ahead to June of 2022 this is the month I found out that Steam changed there process from steam greenlight to just getting your game to steam! That is when the whole direction changed and It has turned into what we see today!


Looking into the future now!


We are looking into the future of the game. As you may know Chapter 1 is pretty much complete! you may not see this as I lock that down to where you cant! we have been hard at work improving the game and making the necessary changes to make this game Amazing at launch! Chapter 2 is making a lot of progress I would say if I would to work on it for a whole week chapter 2 would be done. Does it mean the launch is soon no it doesn't but as a solo developer I never thought I would be getting to the point of just finalizing the game and that is where we are right now. I cant thank you enough for all of the support you have given and all the people that has helped me on this journey and we still have a long journey ahead to a bright future to this game!

Demo Update Version 8.2: New Features and Fixes

Development Update!


Over the last month I've been getting to the point of finalizing the game for chapter one and been trying to improve systems that were in place and upgrade them. This is a smaller patch but it changes so much that I needs to be done. I'm really excited for people to try out the new upgrades and fixes.

Patch Notes!


Added: Controls for controller are still work in progress but we are really close to having this done! Below shows what is not in game yet.
Added: You will now get a popup saying game saved when saving the game!
Changed: Level 2 Mission Details Have been updated to prepare for the full game release!!
Changed: Options menu layout is different mainly for controls and overall look changed. This change I thought was necessary to make things more uniform and streamlined.
Fixed: Chapter 1 level 1 storylines bug when staying in bed!
Fixed: when quitting the main menu it stops all sounds fixing possible cases of audio not stopping when needed to.
Fixed: Save game button in mission details didn't work.
Fixed: Voices after saving and restarting the level did not go back to the beginning of the level.
Fixed: when loading the game with voices it would bug out and not continue the audio..
Fixed: Healthpad crashing game after making changes in the settings menu
Fixed: Flame didn't have lighting to it.

Weapon Changes

Changed: Sniper Scopes now draw the zoom level
Changed: Snipers now have different zoom Levels.

Damage Was 12-15 now is been increased to 20-23

Demo Update Version 8.1: Crash Fixes and Controller Improvements

Development Update!


Over the last month I've seen a lot of issues with the controller. Some of which was to the point where these were very hard to find. I also found a few bugs that I thought were just a random thing that happened and I wasn't sure what caused it. But I think that is fixed now. So hopefully no more random crashes. We are doing only 8.1 instead of 9 because this update is only a little bit of the fixes I wanted to add in the 9 update! I'm hoping to add a whole lot more once we get controller support fully added and working to where it is bug free and enjoyable for the controller users! Thank you all for those that help test it and let me know of feedback. This has been an amazing journey so far working on my own game, I never thought I would even get to where I'm at a few years ago.

The taskbar at top now allows you to maximize it.
General Fixes
Fixed: Options menu with Screen resolution was causing a crash.
Fixed: Bullet was getting destroyed too quickly causing a crash.
Controller Updates!
Added: Sensitivity options in controller options screen
Fixed: When using a silencer on a controller it was not tracking correctly with the gun. Potentially allowing you to shoot through walls.
Known Issues for Controller
Audio Options are a little strange As this requires the mouse to move.. I’m Trying other methods to get it to work better. Might go the route of the sensitivity setup.
