New Fun in the Commons!
Try out the catapult and the new mini-game! Shoot blocks, balls, and other players through the sky-hoops! All you have to do is place (or ask) the thing you want to shoot into the ammo trough, and then jump into the catapult! Holding down the left mouse button will increase the speed and strength of your shot.
Look for the grappling hooks!
Added a high-dive (whoa VR!)
Moved Kiosks around, added a pretty fountain, some apple trees, tons of green balls and a bouncy house with way more bounce!
Updated and improved the bowling lanes!
New Block Point System!
The biggest news of the day has to be the introduction of the new block point system. You said you wanted all the blocks, and we listened! Now, rather than requiring you to level up to get access to new and exciting blocks, we’ve given everyone access to all the blocks. Sort of. Let us explain:
New Point System Quick Notes:
Players now have access to all the available blocks!
Each type of block has been assigned a point cost
Players have budget of 8800 points to spend when building
No More Leveling Up For Blocks!
We’ve replaced the old level up system with a new point system that assigns a point value to each block based on that block’s impact on things like game play and processor power. This means the more powerful blocks (and the blocks that are known to bring even the beefiest rig to its knees when placed by the hundreds) cost more for builders to use. Common blocks cost less, which means you can use a lot more of them to build your creations.
Builder’s Tool Update Quick Notes:
Big usability improvements to the builder’s tools!
Introducing 13 new and improved block and props (see the Block Library for descriptions) that bring a whole new level of customization and creativity to building.
Extensive backend engineering work to make it easier for us to give you new building blocks!
Tons of graphic optimizations that improve both game play and performance on PC, MacOS and the HTC Vive
Better Build Palettes!
We’ve reorganized and improved the current build palettes so that they are much easier for our builder’s to use. This includes a sorely needed update on our names and descriptions, a slick new menu interface and improved the graphic performance of the building palettes.
13 New and Improved Blocks for Builders!
Sticky Moving Platform: must place two. Invisible platform that travels between two placement points carrying all connected blocks with it
Trampoline Block: Bounces players, baddies, and projectiles on impact. Cannot be moved or destroyed by players
Player Respawn Point: Randomized respawn points for players coming back to life
Sticky Rotating Platform : spinning platform that will rotate any connected blocks
6 Note Blocks: 6 colors play 6 notes when touched:
The red block plays a note in the key of A when touched
The orange block plays a note in the key of B when touched
The yellow block plays a note in the key of D Flat when touched
The green block plays a note int he key of E when touched
The blue block plays note in the key of F Sharp when touched
The purple block plays a note in the key of A when touched
Green Sphere: can be moved but not destroyed by players
Jetpack: Now flies faster for VR players. Allows players to fly if they are wearing it on their back
Stun Gun changed to Toast-A-Lizer: now with 10 shots. Players hold this to fire electric sparks that temporarily slow enemy players and baddies.
Bouncy Block: We've added some serious bounce to this block, making it the bounciest bounce ever for players.
Catapult: This new weapon allows you to load up blocks and fire them at people. Or, you can load up people and fire them at blocks!
More Blocks Coming!
This update also introduces some back-end work on our block selections that will allow us to add a variety of different colors, functions, and features to your block options more quickly and cleanly than before. This means we will be introducing even more new blocks in the very near future (stay tuned for the last week of June for those!).

We're calling it the Saturday Royale! Grab your hammers and join the fight on featured maps at the Play & Build kiosk.
How it Works: Build maps all week and submit them to see your QUIRK-of-art under Featured. On Saturday hop in game with devs and community starting at 11 am through the day.
Make a QUIRK level that is a community favorite and we'll keep it in Featured & Quick match until the next Saturday Royale.
See you Saturday!

Happy Hour & The big move
Happy Friday everyone!
Here at uGen we've had very a busy Friday. All of us here are spending the day finishing up important work saving our Q.U.I.R.K. levels & wrapping monitors and PCs up for the trip to the new office on Monday.
Just because we are tearing everything down doesn't mean we've forgotten about happy hour! Quite the opposite in fact, we've put together an A- Team of broadcasters to carry on Happy Hour while we finish up here.
Starting at 4pm PDT and on we will have our A-Team streaming, playing and giving out keys.
