Update 43.1


  • Fixed a bug where the store tiles are wrong in Classic game-mode.
  • Added a Medium Total mode.
  • Made Total and Leadout have the same price every game so it's easier to think out strategies.
  • Balanced singleplayer challenges a bit more, especially Mega Unfair.
  • Made tireboost effect during races now visualize the amount of time left of the boost similarly to nos bottles.
  • Improved singleplayer scoring for when lives are part of the challenge.

  • Made the background of the lobby/store more pleasant.
  • And made open tiles nicer to look at.
  • Replaced the graphics for the tiles Tireboost and NOS.
  • Replaced the sound effect for weight reduction.
  • Replaced the sound effect for rotating your car selection.
  • Added sound effects for using your nos bottles.
  • Now you earn more money from going fast and beat-time is always increased maximally for the next round.
  • Neighbour Tunnel now works on all of the tools.
  • Buffed tool Merchant from placing $3x to $4x, and upper limit of sellprice increase is now $3000 instead of $1000.
  • Buffed tool Permnanetifier by making it disperse LVLs around to connected neighbors.
  • Nerfed NOS Bottle neighbor bonus from +0.5% nos to +0.25% nos.
  • Nerfed Lighter Pistons neighbor bonus from +1% HP to +0.5% HP.
  • Changed Lighter Pistons by removing its first bonus but lowering its Sticky Clutch bonus from LVL 15 to LVL 10 but increasing the price of this bonus from $50 to $1200.
  • Changed Tireboost by lowering its latest bonus from LVL 15 to LVL 10 but removed its forth option.
  • Added a new negative tile called Cracked Manifold which gives -10% nos and tireboost to its neighbors.
  • Made a new map for Mega Unfair and moved the old Mega Unfair map to Unfair and the Unfair map to Legendary.
  • Added a tile to Beginner to maybe make it even easier for noobs to understand, hopefully.
  • Changed many small things for every single singleplayer challenge so now it should be more fun and easier to win lower challenges, but the later challenges are even more cancer (in a good way.)
  • Improved the leaderboards by showing which round the player won and what time he/she got.
  • Also now the leaderboards should show the right name every time.
  • Fixed many bugs in multiplayer so hopefully it will desync less. It is so difficult to fix these multiplayer bugs man.
  • Made race lights slightly visible from the start.
  • Made race lights show up 5 times instead of 3 and instead of the interval between each bulb being random it is now equal but faster. This is inspired by Dragster's fast countdown and play.
  • Hovering a tile over an empty tile will no longer show which times mod is hiding under, rather it will show which LVL it requires to have in a surrounding tile to unlock.

Update 42


  • Remade networking backend. Should be way more stable now, but of course this code is brand new so there may be some ninja bugs hiding.
  • Improved graphics and tried to make racing more beautiful.
  • Nerfed NOS, Lighter Pistons, and Seeper.
  • Fixed many bugs like braking while in neutral.
  • Made a custom board for Master, Nightmarish, Unfair and Mega Unfair.
  • Made tutorial/information about the game easier to access and understand.

Update 41


  • Improved tooltips and corrected wrong information.
  • Introduced new singleplayer challenge called Master because there was a kink in the percentage of players finishing Hard and Expert.
  • Dark corners when traveling fast will no longer suddenly appear at like 230 kmh but gradually appear.
  • Tachometer will now show the right numbers. For instance, it presented the Thoroughbred as having 6000 RPM but it starts with 5000 RPM.
  • Removed terrible FOV effect when going fast!
  • Increased speed of the gif in the singleplayer menu.
  • Impossible and Mega-Impossible are now called Unfair and Mega Unfair because people thought the game-modes were actually impossible.
  • Made the unfair modes more "interesting"
  • Improved the controller experience (and fixed most of its bugs)
  • Fixed the bar stats that show up when you race so that it actually shows the right number. And also it shows what it is in HP.
  • Objectives now show up after you enter the win-scene.
  • Selling Tools now give you 3 improvement-points back! Could allow for more strategies.
  • Fixed tiles with tiles-mod (x?) being gray if you have an external monitor connected.
  • Added tint (visual weather) to your car and road (not just the sky and skyline like it used to be)
  • Fixed gearing bugs with controller.
  • Made tiles go gray if they're not a neighbor or the tile you're hovering over.

  • Added 3 modes of Coop to play with your friends!
  • Added support for controllers! Just plug it in and enjoy!
  • Made it possible to look at opponents boards when playing by hovering over their icons!
  • Hotkeys can now be edited and specified!
  • Better performance!
  • It's now easier to rejoin a game as any current game will be listed in the game lobby with a STARTED prefix.
  • For LAN, the game will now remember the last IP you wrote.
  • Made the chat-box support many more characters like "æøå" and also it does not cut words in half when it wants to add a new line.
  • Fixed tb penalty and snos being too OP!
  • Added Designer-Notes where I try to explain some of the game-mechanics in the game.
  • Added some explanation for what is happening in Total so that people aren't as confused when opponents get extra points and the game does not immediately end.
  • Made the game scale more properly for wide-screen or square monitors.
  • Cleaned up the TAB-window where you see the general stats of the players.
  • Made the clutch-in-sfx more pleasant.
  • Fixed the gear lever not entering its slot properly sometimes.

As per the request of someone named Mr. Alu, I have released the uncompressed versions and unreleased versions of the Racingmaybe soundtrack to Bandcamp. Soon it will be available on Steam also. But in the meantime, for anyone whom it may interest, here is the link to the album:

Hotfix:



  • Fixed scoring algorithm.
  • Fixed tools not showing proper values in the replay.

  • Added a frame-limiter and a fuse for 1285 error and vsync. Default setting is now 300 fps and no vsync instead of unlimited fps and vsync.
  • Added tool Permanentifier which removes values from neighboring tiles so that you lose less when selling them. Removes 10% each turn.
  • Made racing hints more dynamic and helpful.
  • Reintroduced game-rules to car-choice-scene in beginner mode.
  • Forgot to say that in Update 38 supercharger sound effect was introduced. In this update it has been reduced in volume as it was a bit too piercing.
  • More explainations of Tireboost.
  • Buffed the tool Merchant where it now reduces the timesmod that is lost when selling a neighboring upgrade on a tile with x1 or less from -0.2x -> -0.1x
  • Now you can buy 1 turbo even though you have placed 3 superchargers always.
  • Shaders that have been destroyed can no longer be extra destroyed.

  • Fixed infinite money bug in Leadout-mode and Time-mode
  • Fixed a rare bug regarding a multiplayer mismatch.
  • Improved chatbox by making it possible to write long messages and have it automatically go to the next line.
