Welcome to the first ever community competition run by the CM team! We're super excited to start these and will do more in the future! We hope you participate in these contests and give a chance for these new types of competitions.
And today's competition is.... Browning A5 Vs Ithaca.
Sterling and Wolfgang took a short break to recover from the recent Nazi killing mission (more news on that soon).
Meanwhile, Rivet and Kurgan were at the Raid base camp and some resistance members showed up with 2 brand-new wooden crates. They rushed over but the boxes were empty except a letter from Mrs white in them. The letter read:
“Dear Raid Gang,
These crates represent 2 new weapons we want to send you, but manufacturing is limited to just one of them. There is only one way to sort this out. Wild west style. Send me a postcard of you in your very best action pose with your favourite of the 2 weapons.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs White”
Rules:
Pick one of the 2 raiders: Rivet for the Browning A5 or Kurgan for the Ithaca
Take a picture, art or any image that looks like a postcard
Pose your characters with the appropriate shotgun and give them a quote in the voice of that character
Needs to use a quote for the gun in the image (quote must be in character, like something they would say)
Send you postcards here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/414740/discussions/0/1699415798764031100/

RAID: World War II - Weekly Newsletter 29/01/2018
Hey Raiders!
Thanks for being patient with us since our return back from Christmas holidays. We realize that we were a little quiet but, we are starting to get into the groove of things and some hot new updates are planned soon!
More details on that below but firstly, we have seen some gossip on the interwebs about LgL, its staffing and the future for RAID. We don’t want to get involved in gossip, and we think our energy is better spent on development, and we hope you all agree too. But to be completely transparent, neither LGL or RAID is dead.
New Level!
Announcing a new level! This one isn’t Silo, but an all new one! Code named: KELLY. It takes places with the raid gang going deep into Berlin to take out one of the Nazis main banks. This time, they intend to get very rich out of it! More news on that soon, but below you can see screenshots from an early development build.
Community Fridays
It’s been a while since we did this, and you know we love it when you guys are creative. So… This week we will announce a new competition! We have weapons, which one will you choose to be in the game next! As usual it won’t be a straight up competition but a chance for you to be creative!
Silo Release
We are close, oh so close, to releasing Silo. Just got to fix some bugs and make sure its as good as it can be for release. For the ones still reading, you should get excited! It won’t be just Silo, but a juicy update is planned for you soon! We will do a larger announcement on that shortly, so keep your eyes peeled! We also wanted to post some screenshots of the progression of the Silo level:
XP and Grind
Thank you all so much for your feedback! We have made changes to lots of stats that effect the XP curve and progression in general. These changes are in a closed beta and we are testing them out, expect the update to be released very soon. As soon as we get closer to something “tangible” we will share the details with you guys, and then continue on from there.
Newsletters
We will now release newsletters every other week for RAID. We think that this is a better cadence of information being released as we have time to accumulate more juicy news that will be closer to being in the version released. So, in case its confusing, the next newsletter will be on 12th February.
Live Streams
It sure has been a while since you have seen our faces and have had live interactions with us, so we are updating you guys on the timings of the streams. So! Announcing that the Streams will be every other week, on the weeks that we don’t do newsletters. The next stream will be on 9th February.

Karabiner 98k
The legendary bolt-action rifle used by the German Wermacht. Unlocked at level 10 for Recon characters.
343D Grenade
The defensive version of the Danish-designed hand grenade. Unlocked at level 19 for Demolition characters, level 20 for Insurgent characters and level 21 for Recon and Assault characters.
Programming:
Recon Warcry Rework
Now the recon war cry has an added self-heal per kills dealt, while the warcry is active. This self-heal will upgrade per warcry level. The heal is only applied to Sniper type weapons.
We have changed the Warcry upgrades. Now at warcry level 2 it adds self-heal and at warcry level 3 the lock-on range widens. At warcry level 5 is when the recon class gets the head lock-on.
Art:
- Fixed a minor art issue on the crane at Trainyard.
Tech Art:
- Fixed the interaction on 2 paintings at Art Storage
- Fixed an issue on Extraction where players were able to interact with the suitcase through the wall.
Level Design:
- Fixed an issue on The Amber Train level where players were able to use collisions to jump over a gate.
- Fixed an issue on Bunker Busters, where players got stuck between the opening doors and the wall. Recreated a part of the room so players can't get stuck anymore.
- Fixed an issue when players would reach the bottom of the ladders on the Trainwreck level the game would crash, we had no opportunity to experience this crash as of for now, we had 2 random events that activate when you reach the bottom of the stairs, for now we disabled these, so the game should not crash anymore. We will look further into this issue to figure out which of the events crashes the game, so we can re-enable them at a later stage.
