Recently I have been helping a friend with an insect-themed DnD (Dungeons & Dragons) module that we're launching on Kickstarter, and it just went live today! Rally: Endless Conquest 1.0 is Live!

The 1.0 release is here!

The main updated features include:

  • 190+ card pool
  • 50+ treasures
  • 6 playable characters

Rally: Endless Conquest 1.0 release coming Oct. 3rd!

The title says it all! The full release will be happening Oct. 3rd. It's a bit later than expected mainly due to marketing reasons, and because of a steam policy I can't do a launch discount until near the start of October, but it's not far off! The marketing outreach did not go exactly as I had hoped, but I still am optimistic that people will try out and enjoy the 1.0 release. In the meantime I've mostly been working on polish and art rework, and there's a new playable character that lets you choose your starting cards.

Rally 1.0 release is coming up!

Greetings everyone,

I have made a lot of progress in developing the game in the last month, and everything is almost ready for launch. The game should be ready to release some time in September, and I will have a specific date depending on how some marketing things go. All the main game mechanics and content are in place, it's mostly a matter of readying the store page and finishing some final art assets. The only potential delay is that I am possibly within a discount lockout period for 30 days (I'd like to launch with a discount), but I am working on getting this resolved.

I'll send an update once I have a specific date!

V.74 Steam cloud integration

-Steam cloud integration should now be live, so game data can be synced across multiple devices.
-Fixed UI problem with stat effects where it acted weird on low framerates
-Added a missing 'refined ore' card that the junk muncher produces
-Added an xp bar for unlocks between rounds
-Other UI tweaks

As before, new cards and treasures are being worked on, but they will all be added at once for the V1.0 game release.

V.73 UI, art, bug fixes

-Continued updates on UI
-Expanded shop art and added lighting
-Fixed a missing feature of 'berserker manuscript' treasure
-Changed card library to properly update after starting a new game

Content updates are also in progress, but I plan to save all new cards/treasures for the 1.0 release in a few months.

Steam Achievements Update! V.7

Hello, everyone! Before getting into the update, I am sorry for the lack of updates and communication in the last year. I am currently in the final semester of my Master’s degree, and I have not put aside much time to work on the game as of late. Things are currently busy with my thesis work, so I won’t give a timeline for the final release, but I can guarantee that Rally will be finished! The game is getting close to release—the main things I want to accomplish at this point are some art and UI reworks/polish as well as expanding the final card pool a bit more. It is also possible that, depending on the reception of the game at launch, I will do another large content update after V1.0 release.

For this current update, I have added 30+ steam achievements into the game which was a feature a few people had requested. You may notice that there are a few hidden achievements; most of these are related to secret cards that have been in the game (mostly) since launch! To my knowledge, only one of the secret cards has been found so far, so I am interested in seeing if more can be discovered! I will add a few more achievements (and secret cards) for the final release of the game, but I think there is a good selection to get started with.

I was working on a ‘collection’ feature where you can see all of the cards that you have unlocked, but it ended up being quite unoptimized and laggy. I hope to have a better version of that finished soon that I can add in as a minor update. This update also has a few minor balance changes and updates to easy mode.
