Roadmap Update + Gardening and Greenhouse Release Date Revealed
Hello ranchers,
While getting working on gardening, greenhouses, wheat/crop production and tractors, we realised that to do it all justice we need to split the update in two.
This approach gives each feature the development time it deserves - and we'd rather spend more time to get these heavily requested features right rather than launching before its ready.
We're excited to reveal that gardening and greenhouses will launch on 29 September, with crop/wheat production and harvesting, plus tractors arriving in November.
Gardening and Greenhouses
In the September update you'll be able to build your own greenhouse, using the build anywhere system that the game employs for coops and buildings. From there, you'll be able to expand your ranching operation by buying and planting seeds, growing grapes, beetroot, strawberries, watermelons, pumpkins and more.
We can't wait to get gardening and greenhouses into your hands, so see you on 29 September!
Thanks, The Ranch Sim Team
UPDATE NOW LIVE | Goats, Bees, Transport Trailers, Banks and Loans!
Hey ranchers!
We've just launched a big content update for Ranch Sim!
Expand your array of livestock with male and female goats. They can breed and give birth to kids (baby goats), and you can also now produce goat's milk and goat's cheese! Diversify your produce by slaughtering goats for meat, ready to sell.
Explore the wilds and you may find bees! Use the bee smoker to calm them down, allowing you to safely approach and put the bees into a frame. Back at your ranch, you can now build a beehive and, using a honey extractor and barrel, produce sweet honey to sell.
We've also added bank loans, which are useful when you're short on cash - take one out by visiting the bank, located next to the car shop. Be careful though, as the bank does charge interest! The bigger the loan, the smaller the interest rate. You have a couple of options for how you wish to pay off your loans too: pay it back at the auto daily rate, or visit the bank to pay it off in full.
Additionally, we've added fuel and animal transport trailers which are purchasable from the hardware store. The animal transport trailers are especially useful for transporting your larger livestock!
Full Patch Notes
New: - Goats, goat cheese and mold for goat's milk (goat's milk cannot be mixed with cow's milk) - Bees - Bee Smoker (used to calm bees to allow them to be handled) - Hive Frame (used to collect bees from wild nests in trees) - Wooden Beehive and Honey Extractor, available to build in the blueprints book - Barrel (used to collect honey from the extractor) - Bank loans - Fuel transport trailer - Animal transport trailer - Day counter (open the in-game menu to view) - Glossary addition for goats and bees
Fixes/changes: - Animals will no longer phase through the large wood gate - Money limit increased to 10,000,000 - Horse collisions adjusted - Updated to the latest version of the EOS SDK. This may prompt a one time only pop-up about connecting Epic and Steam accounts. This is optional and can be ignored, unless you want to play cross-play with a user on a different platform.
What's Next?
In September we'll be adding crop/wheat production and harvesting, gardening, a greenhouse and more! These features are based on popular requests from you, the community. We can't wait for you to get your hands on the September update, but, for now, we hope you have a great time with today's content update! Goats and bees await.
Happy ranching!

Ranch Sim May - September 2022 Roadmap
End of May Bug fixes and optimisation Community suggested gameplay improvements
While adding new content is a priority for us, we also know that the quality of existing content is just as important! Which is why we'll be focusing on bug fixes and optimisation in May.
We'll also be implementing a handful of community-requested gameplay improvements, such as the ability to sell vehicles. We aim to balance weather too, with less rainy days and more sunny days, and start giving you back a percent of the materials when you demolish things.
End of July Goats Bees Bank and loans Fuel and animal transport trailers
You've asked for more animals, so we're excited to introduce goats in the July update! You'll be able to raise this livestock and produce goat's milk, expanding your range of dairy products to sell.
Bees will also be introduced, along with the ability to produce and sell honey!
Along with these diversified produce options, we will also be adding a bank in-game, with the ability to take out loans.
Last but not least we'll be adding handy transport trailers for fuel and animals!
End of September Crop/wheat production and harvesting Tractor Gardening Greenhouse
You asked for it, and we've listened. In the September update we'll be adding crop/wheat production and harvesting, the single most requested feature! While we're not ready to share much more on this just yet we can confirm that we'll be adding a tractor and a greenhouse to do gardening in too!
Watch out for more news in the coming months!

Hello all,
Today's small patch enables cross-play between players on Steam and Epic. If you play Ranch Sim on Steam and wish to play with a friend who plays on the Epic Games Store, you can link your Epic and Steam account in the Ranch Sim settings menu.
Connecting your Epic account is required only for crossplay.

Happy New Year! (Goodbye Winter Theme)
Hello ranchers!
We hope that you've had a wonderful start to the New Year!
In this patch, we've removed the temporary winter theme, including; - The permanent snow and weather (note that light snow is still part of our dynamic weather system and will feature in the game) - Christmas trees have been removed from the blueprints book - Fireworks and Christmas tree decorations are now out of stock at the hardware store and unavailable to purchase
We have read everyone's feedback from the holidays, and understand that many players have not enjoyed the winter theme as much as we thought they would. Learning from this, we'll be aiming to make any temporary themes/events optional from now on if we decide to run them again.
Stay tuned for the February update where a hunting rifle and quests from hunters/other ranches are coming!
