Movement in water: Now you can press the jump button to emerge in water (I'm also planning to make the run button dive).
I finally changed the water effects, added ripples and splashes in time for this devlog. So here is what I managed to achieve:
I'm currently giving the final touches to the last level I made, set at night.
I'm also reworking the third demo level (the level that you have to find rats) to make it less demanding, less bugged and more natural looking (water helps to this).
GENERAL
Moved project to Unreal 5.2.
Thank you for the 500 wishlists! Dreamhack beyond helped a lot to achieve this!
Hi, today we have your monthly update about the development of RAT MEMORY!
Unfortunately, the development in July was very slow, but I will keep working on this game until it is at least released on Steam. Anyway, I worked a lot on sound effects and water.

MORE SOUND EFFECTS - I added some more sound effects to the game, as the game lacked them. You can hear them here:
I tried to change the water, add ripples and splashes and all that but unfortunately I couldn't bring it in time for this devlog. Anyway, here is a very early concept that I'm trying to make work:

Hi, today we have your monthly update about the development of RAT MEMORY!
Unfortunately, the development is slowed down due to my job. I'm a solo dev after all! But will keep working on this game until it is at least released on Steam.
NEW LEVEL
Here is the level I'm making now, set at night:
Too dark, right? So here is a new mechanic made for it: Here is a preview. Pick the lights to be able to see the level better.
I'm currently giving it the final touches, like sound effects and placing decorations.
NEW MUSIC
Just got another music for RAT MEMORY, you will be able to hear it in the full game and when I upload it to Youtube.

ACCESSIBILITY OPTIONS
I added an option to change the speed of the game, so you can have more time to make your jumps and decisions.
You can also set it to be higher if you think the game is too easy.
I added an option to change the rat color to some with a high contrast. You may not need it, but it taught me how to add character customizations, so you should expect this option in the game.
OPTIMIZATION
I optimized the fur, it should be 6 times less demanding.

Removed the shadows in level 2;
Better detection to level 3 ending;
Better water physics detection in level 3;
Better terrain in level 3.
Fixes:
Music not playing in main menu and level 3;
A rock without textures in level 2;

Rocks flying in level 3;

I tested the demo before uploading to steam, but looks like I have to test it in different conditions, as many of these bugs didn't appear to me while testing.
