Levelsystem and Horses Update V0.0.3c

Hello guys and girls. the patch is now live and have some new stuff. Not much but it give me the possibility to build on it in the future. If you find any bug, just let me know by pressing the bug report button ingame or on the discord channel. Thank you for your support and stay interested :D

I have to say sorry about the fact, that you have to start a new game to get the level system to work. This is not a bug. This is because the saved files don't have the information about the level system.

Additions:

- Added 2 more quick slots
- Added Money indicator to the inventory UI
- Added Quest Markers
- Added Level system (Max Lvl 15) (Interface will follow this sunday)

Changes:

- Updadated the Engine to Version 4.24.2
- AI reacts on any damage now
- AI can hear you now but they don't detect crouching
- Removed combo system. You can hit while walking now
- Removed Bow combos. Only one hit animation for now
- You now have to reach certain levels for the crafting receipes
- You now have to craft a Wooden Club instead of a Stone Sword at the starting isle quest


Fixes:

- Fixed Shrine inventory is too big
- Fixed Left hand slot is not loading the item
- Fixed animals dublicating while loading
- Fixed AI bug into each other
- Fixed Chicken is not placeable (Sell your Chickens that you bought before the patch)
- You can now convert Hide into leather at the tannery
- Fixed Sleeping Bag is not placeable
- Fixed Goblin Archer flying in the air
- Fixed Wood Rebuilding indicator have wrong texture when in distance to it
- Fixed Axe hit animation finger position
- Fixed wrong sound for equip and unequip wood club

Patch tomorrow

Hi there,

tomorrow there will be the next patch. I fixed some bugs and added some stuff.

The most important thing is the level system. You can level up to level 20. Everything you do will give you exp. Crafting recipes will be unlocked during your leveling process.

I will also make possible to ride horses again.

So if you want to give it another try just wait for the patch tomorrow.

Problems solved

Hey there. I solved the problems and now I can go ahead to do a lot of more content.
The next patch will come out this friday so stay tuned.

I upgraded the game to the newest engine version that will give some better performance in the next patch. The performance hits are coming from the AI and I will solve this problems.

I will look inside the mechanics of collecting Items, which causes performance hits.
There are some multiplayer bugs too wich I have to fix.

The plan for this week is to fix this problems and adding some new stuff for you to do.

There were refunds that say the game crashes frequently but they never told me when this happen. So if you have this problem, please tell me. I will fix it very quickly.

Broken Things

Hi there,

I get some bugreports and fixed them. The problem at this point is, that the engine throw out a lot of errors that comming out of nowhere. I have to figure out why this happens and it will take some time. I hope it will not take so long but maybe it will.

So I have to say sorry that this week there will be no update.

I'm working almost 16 hours a day to figure out where this phantom-errors came from.
A lot of code and a lot of assets to check.

Stay tuned I will do everything I can to fix this quickly.

The Happy Farmer Episode 1

Patch V 0.0.3a

The 2 biggest anoing bugs are now gone. The "Inventory no hit and quickbar block" bug and the "Item not craftet after putting a second item to the crafting queue" bug.

I want to give the players in Re.Poly the opportunity, to do everything they want. I heard your voice and the first step to make your own farm is done. Not much but the pretty basics and there will come much more animals, cooking recipes and many other stuff.

Plants will now snap to a Grid. That means if you place one on the ground, the next will snap to a given grid.

Fences are now placeable to save your animals.

The first step for magic powers is also done. Basic too but I think this is a good beginning.

Multiplayer Bugs, Networking Performance and Experimental branch

Hi there. First things first: Happy new year to all of you and thank you for your support.


In the past few days I tested the multiplayer with some backers and a lot of little bugs came across. I noticed, that the networking performance is very bad most of the time and at this moment only a maximum of 3 players can play together.

This is something I have to dive in and kick all the bugs out. I have to change some things to make networking more performant. This means, that I will set this to the highest priority.

It will take some time to get into all of the code and change it for better performance. Some of the multiplayer bugs are fixed now but there are still some inside.

I think it will take a maximum of one week to make all this stuff.


Experimental branch

I will do an experimental branch for all of the people, that want to help finding bugs and testing the new upcomming stuff before it get's live to the default branch. I will start this branch on Monday the 6th of January. If you interested in testing the new stuff, make shure you go to the settings/Betas and then choose experimental branch then.


Thank you for being so helpful to find all the nasty little bugs. I will do my best to fix them as fast as I can to give you more content in the future.

Big Part of the Green Lands
