We apologize for meeting in such circumstances once again. We regret to inform you that our previous assessment regarding the possible release date was simply incorrect on our part.
The game itself will be ready next week on Wednesday, June 15th. Our underestimation of the amount of polish that the game needs wasn't as severe as one might fear it was.
Unfortunately, due to upcoming Steam events - Steam Next Fest and Steam Summer Sale we won't be able to officially leave Early Access on June 15th because it would severely impact our launch visibility. We hope you understand that as an indie studio, such proper traction and promotion are necessary for us to stay afloat and find as broad of an audience as possible.
This is why we now have set July 20th as our new official release date. However, if you've been waiting for the full release to jump back into the game, you will be able to do so in a week on June 15th.
Of course, we will still use this additional time to make minor polish and balance changes and add new content we were initially planning to add after the full release. However, all major balance overhauls will be ready next week, so there is no reason for you to hold back on starting a fresh playthrough on the version we will call Full Release Preview.
On the bright side of things, we have included an additional feature that many of you, our fantastic and loyal fanbase, have frequently requested - the difficulty setting. There will be three basic presets - Easy, Medium, and Hard, but we are also adding Custom difficulty, which you will be able to tailor exactly to your needs.
Thank you for your continued support, Polished Games Team
Soundtrack Listening Party
To celebrate the upcoming release of the Realms of Magic Soundtrack, our composer Davi Vasc will be hosting a live Listening Party today on his YouTube channel.
The event starts today (1st of June) at 12:00 PM US Central Time / 7:00 PM Central European Time on Davi's YouTube channel.
During the live stream, you will get a chance to listen to a previously unreleased new Main Theme for the first time, which will be replacing the current one in the 1.0 release. Davi will also share some behind-the-scenes details about composing the soundtrack for Realms of Magic.
As a small tease, here is one of the tracks that were introduced in the recently released Blackwall realm!
See you there! Polished Games Team

Version 0.26 - Blackwall Update
The time has come! You’ll be able to discover everything that the Old Kingdom has to offer… at least when it comes to its realms. However, remember that Blackwall isn’t the most scenic of places. On the contrary, it’s quite dangerous and… dead. At least you’ll finally finish the game’s main plot, right?
New realm
Many things can be said about Blackwall. None of them are particularly favorable. Just look at it! It’s grey, barren, and deadly. It is filled to the brim with Deathless! But that’s how it has to be, right? The hero’s journey should conclude in the roughest of places. Well… this is it, the worst that the Old Kingdom has to offer. What are you going to do about it?
Two sub-biomes
Blackwall has all the shades of grey! So many that we had to split this particular realm into two sub-biomes. These two different stages are distinctive as we wanted to mark a specific shift in this realm’s nature. To let you know when things will go from bad to worse.
New quests
So why should you even venture into this belly of the beast? To conclude the game’s main storyline, of course! Moreover, you might find some interesting and captivating stories or people among this realm’s many ruins.
Boss fight
Yes, you read that right. Realms of Magic has a final boss fight! Isn’t that exciting? We don’t want to spoil too much here as we want you to discover it for yourself. Let’s just say that this encounter is a pretty wild ride.
New creatures
Blackwall is home to many, many awful creatures, not only Deathless. We are talking about Rotten Ghouls, Undead Wolves, Undead Boars, Death Imps, and Abominations. That’s an awfully mean team that’s ready to mangle you. Are you prepared to take this challenge head-on?
New armors
Hey, look! #Fashionrealms is back! That’s right - we bring you a plethora of new armors! These are probably some of the wildest, most fantastic gear designs in the whole game. Get yourself some of that endgame stuff!
New tiers
Welcome to the DYI section of the “cool new gear” alley. Cursedsteel, Titanium, and Ebon are the three new top tiers of crafting materials. This includes some powerful new armors but also weapons and even tools.
New blocks
Speaking of DIY - Blackwall will also introduce several new building blocks. So you will also be able to add this grey and Deathless flavor to your dream house.
New music
A place as disturbing as Blackwall deserves to have some genuinely haunting music. We proudly report that our amazing composer, Davi Vasc, delivered that in spades. These tracks have a way of really getting under your skin.
Pop-up dialogues
We also decided to introduce a couple of quality of life improvements regarding our game’s NPCs. Many of them have now received unique pop-up dialogues. Moreover, NPCs who spoke just a single sentence in traditional dialogue windows will also have their single-line exchanges moved to that pop-up form.
NPC titles
Another improvement consists of expanding our game’s title system by adding the role of every NPC in the game above their heads. So now you’ll always know who’s who.

Realms of Magic Comic Book (Story 5 of 5)
Hansel and Ritter - the two Witch Hunters. They are probably one of the most colorful characters in the game. After all, they both live rather interesting lives! Let's hear them talk about their incredible adventures!
Thank you for embarking with us on this "graphically novel" journey! We hope you liked this story - let us know in the comments! Or better yet - write to us about all these stories!
Realms of Magic delayed by two weeks!
Dear fans,
It wasn't an easy decision to make. Unfortunately, we are forced to push back the release date of Realms of Magic by two weeks.
It means that the new premiere date is now June 8th.
We understand that you might be disappointed. However, the only reason we have decided to do it is to provide you, our fantastic community, with the best game possible. We want your time in the Old Kingdom to be filled with marvelous adventures and pleasant memories.
Sadly, we have slightly underestimated the number of overhauls and polishing left in front of us. Version 1.0 shapes up to be on a whole other level in terms of balance.
To not come empty-handed with our apology - we will release the last province (Blackwall) on May 26th. We want to give you the opportunity to wrap up your current playthroughs with existing old balance values.
We recommend finishing current playthroughs on this version. For 1.0, we highly recommend starting a new game as the number of balance changes is massive (your saves will still be compatible). We will leave this version as an optional Beta branch, so you don't need to rush finishing the current playthrough before June 8th.
We apologize and thank you for your continued support, Polished Games Team
The last province
Blackwall means - a new realm, new locations, new quests, the grand culmination of our main storyline, and fight with the final boss!
New gear
Moreover, we will use this additional time to add more armor sets to the list of obtainable gear by the player. You might have seen some of these sets worn by NPCs, but they were previously unobtainable by players. Others never appeared in the game before.
Realms of Magic Comic Book (Story 4 of 5)
Why can't men and elves be friends? Every time there's supposed to be a breakthrough... something gets in the way. Splinterville can't catch a break.
We hope you liked this story - let us know in the comments! Tune in same time next week to read the fifth (and the last) short comic book!
Realms of Magic Comic Book (Story 3 of 5)
Necromancy is a difficult craft. Moreover, it's almost impossible to make a significant breakthrough in the art of raising the undead! Just ask Toggot! By the way, have you completed his in-game questline?
We hope you liked this story - let us know in the comments! Tune in same time next week to read the fourth short comic book!
