Version 0.19.0 - Improved Achievements and New Music

Hey!

It's been a while since we've released an update. For the last month most of our team was working on the seventh and final realm - the Blackwall. We are in the final stages of Blackwall's development - all locations and quests are finished, all that is left for us to do on this province is to test, fix and wrap up the work on the boss fight that will be an epic culmination to the game's storyline.

While our Design Team was working on the final realm, our programmer implemented Balance Tools that will allow us to efficiently iterate on game's balance. While you won't see much balance changes in this update, many things like experience or NPCs work completely different in the backend. You can expect major rebalance patches in the upcoming weeks - including character and profession experience progressions and combat balance.

We've already discussed what's coming next, let's now focus on features and changes in this update!


Improved Achievements System



  • All achievements are now earned retroactively
  • If for some reason you didn't receive an achievement when it was earned, then you just need to load your latest save and they should be awarded now


Improved Talent Trees Visuals



  • New icons for each talent tree with unique background and sprites

Version 0.18.1

Hey!

Minor hotfix version 0.18.1 is now live! In this update we have made just 2 changes, however one of them should be a significant improvement for people who have been experiencing one of the 4 following bugs:

  • Player and enemies becoming immune to damage
  • Player and NPCs becoming invisible
  • Combat sounds become very silent as the game progresses
  • Enemies spawn near player instead of offscreen, eventually they stop spawning at all

This patch does not solve these issues entirely and they can still occur, however they should occur much less often. If you still experience these issues, the temporary solution while we are still working on a full fix is to:

  • Save and load the game in case of invisibility or invincibility bugs
  • Restart the game in case of sounds and spawning bugs

We have managed to find quick and reliable way to replicate all of the issues listed below, so hopefully fixing them shouldn't be of much trouble now.


Bugfixes




  • Removed leftover event code that was causing several issues - this change should also slightly improve stability and decrease stuttering, especially on low-end machines.
  • All creatures in handmade locations now should have correct names

We also want to give big shoutout to Tomato who has streamed our game recently on Twitch, roleplaying as a greedy goblin scavenger who is very bad at scavenging gold. Version 0.18.0 - Tailoring Overhaul

Hey!

Another regular update is now live. We have overhauled the Tailoring profession by adding 14 new craftable armor sets, 10 of them can be crafted right now and 4 more endgame recipes will unlock once the final realm, the Blackwall, will be released.

We are also wrapping up work on improved achievements system, we should be able to release it soon in a minor 0.18.X update.

Version 0.17.0 - Sandbox Unlocked

It has been several weeks since we released a regular size update. It's a high time for one.

In this one we introduce a new way to unlock new provinces, which doesn't require playing through the main storyline. Instead you can explore caves in sandbox areas to find Map Fragments that can be crafted into Maps. You can use Maps to unlock new provinces.

We have also rebalanced most racial abilities to match changes made to the rest of the game in the massive update released in December. Our goal with racials is to make experience of playing each race as unique as possible. If you feel that your favorite race isn't up to snuff, then let us know, so we can buff it - or nerf it in case of Gnomes.

There are also great news for all players who love soundtrack in our game. We felt that it could use more of the amazing music composed by Davi Vasc and we extended the contract with him to include around 15 more tracks, so that playing Realms of Magic will feel even more magical!

Racial Abilities Balance



  • Human - Tweaked values for passive bonuses
  • Wild Elf - Added bonus Stamina Points
  • Wild Elf - Tweaked values for passive bonuses
  • High Elf - Added bonus Mana Points and Mana Regeneration
  • High Elf - Tweaked values for passive bonuses
  • Dark Elf - Added bonus Health and Stamina Points

  • Lizardman - Added bonus Health Points
  • Lizardman - Ability Devourer have been slightly changed. It no longer increases hunger bar size to avoid extreme stacking of food buff. Instead now grants 0.5% damage increase and 1 Health Point per stack, stacking up to 100.
  • Lizardman - Ability Cold-blooded have been slightly changed. It now restores 5% Health Points on all kills, while killing cute little animals restores even more.
