Play with Friends Redemption's Guild allows up to four players to adventure together. Whether you are a knight on the front line, a cleric healing the party, or any of our other robust classes, gather your best dungeon party and join the adventure together.
Progression At the core Redemption's Guild is based on progression. There are a variety of different ways to progress that include advancing your class level and account rank, unlocking skills and passives, and collecting armor, astral shards, and weapons.
Customization Customization is what will make your character unique. From the appearance of the armor and weapons you are wielding, to the skills you decide to take on the battlefield, play the character you want to play.
Well, well, well, if it isn't a member of our beloved community. We see you, lurkin', chillin', and wondering when and where you can get your hands on Redemption's Guild.
After several years of development, months upon months spent on upgrading to a newer version of Unity (game engine) and trying to get all of our systems working again, rebuilding core systems to be more future proof, and an innumerable number of times smashing our heads against the keyboards trying to fix all the random (and may I add stupid) issues that surround building a VR game, we're excited to announce that
Redemption's Guild will be launching to Early Access on Steam, November 16th!
The team at Unlit Games strives to create a fun game with minimal bugs. To achieve this, we have to allow users to play the game and share their feedback. It also gives us additional multiplayer development time, so we can ensure the player experience is smooth before releasing it.
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
Full launch is planned for February 2023.
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
Early Access will include:
5 classes to master: Rogue, Knight, Elementalist, Berserker, and Cleric.
Over 100 unique pieces of equipment to collect with class sets having 6 different color variations.
20 levels to achieve in each class.
Hundreds of account rank levels to achieve!
Dynamic combat, the AI will dodge attacks, heal, lure players into ambushes, and much more!
2 massive Adventure zone maps: Vohril's Stand and Areda Dunes.
Hub - Tilnu Tavern
Areda Arena with multiple waves to fight through!
Full procedural generate labyrinth underneath Tilnu Tavern, every play through is unique!
Questing in both adventure zones!
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
Although we can't guarantee which content will be available and when, we'd love to have;
The final beta will be start on Wednesday, November 2nd @ 6 pm EST and end on Sunday, November 6th @ 6 pm EST!
This beta will include all of our tier 4, 5, 6 and ambassadors. We've already sent out all of the beta email, if you didn't obtain one and you are a tier 4, 5, or 6 founder, please reach out to Team@unlitgam for support.
Invites to beta #2 will be going out to all Noble and Treasurer founder pack owners and ambassadors, within the next 2 weeks. Please be on the lookout for an email with further details.
Early Access Launch
We currently plan on launching Redemption's Guild into an Early Access phase by the end of year. We'll provide more concrete details soon.
Multiplayer is an extremely difficult beast that despite several attempts to tame it, always finds a way to slap us across the face and laugh at our silly haircuts (bastard...).
In saying that, we're happy to announce that multiplayer is nearly at a playable stage across all game modes.
Nearly every piece of equipment you can obtain in Redemption's Guild has various color variations to collect? You may want to pay close attention to where your favorite pieces of gear are dropping so you can obtain the whole set!

BETA First, I want to thank all of our amazing content creators and backers who had a chance to play the beta earlier this month. It's by your excitement, support, and keen eye for bugs that keep us on the top of our game (ba dum tss) and eager to see what the future holds.
So what's next? Beta #2 of course! Though we don't have exact dates to share, we are planning to launch the next beta in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
What have we been working on? Shortly after beta we spent some time attempting to recreate the bugs identified from the community. We were able to identify several bugs, many of which are now squashed. We also started our deep dive back into multiplayer.
Misc. Fixes Since Beta #3:
Fixed an issue where collectibles could be obtained while dead. (No - it wasn't a feature...)
Decreased rogue's fatigue recharge rate.
Fixed an issue where quests would not specify the location/objective of the quest in the description.
Fixed an issue where Torvis' healing ability would crash the game.
Updated portal VFX.
___________________________________________________________________ Did you know? The Cleric's wisp not only lights up dark location, making it easier to navigate the labyrinth and avoid traps, but it also provides a small ongoing heal for all nearby allies. During combat, be sure to throw your wisp to the location that provides the most support to your team.
Last month we announced that the first beta would be starting soon. Well, the wait is nearly over. We're happy to announce that both ambassadors and tier 6 founders will receive access to the beta on Saturday, August 6th @ 12 pm EST! If you're a tier 4 or 5 founder and your curious when beta #2 and #1 will drop, keep an eye on your inbox as both beta phases will be live over the next couple months.
If you're in the beta #3 group, you'll receive an email with beta specifics and a Steam key. Emails should be arriving on Friday, August 5th. If you do not receive an email by 6 pm EST Friday, please email Team@unlitgames.com.

Our main focus over the last month has been to get our single player experience as polished as possible. From completion of our interactive tutorial to optimizing the game, there is never a dull moment in game development... let's dive in shall we?
Interactive Tutorial:
We've implemented an interactive tutorial to assist new players in learning the ropes of Redemption's Guilds. The tutorial will begin the moment you step into the Tilnu Tavern (hub) and will guide you through the basics of combat, how to buy/sell items, equip new gear, buy skills, and much more.
Optimization:
Oh boy - this one was tough. We spent several days focused on improving the performance within both the labyrinth and adventures zones. Due to the number of enemies we were spawning, we were maxing out Unity's physics and causing GPU bottlenecks. That plus having (what felt like) 1 million small rocks/grass spread throughout the scenes were causing major frame loss.
After several days of banging our heads against a wall, we were finally able to increase the performance by a staggering amount. Of course, our optimization work is never done and we'll continue these efforts over time.
Adventure scenes are large scale environment with a focus on exploration and questing. Whether you want to travel solo or with a party you'll always find something new to do, as our questing system is procedurally generated and no two quests are alike. If questing isn't your cup of tea, no worries, there are chests full of goodies to collect, traveling merchants looking to sell rare items, and mini-bosses to conquer.
There are 2 adventure zones launching with Redemption's Guild, Vohril's Stand and Areda Dunes (pictured below).
Did you know? Lunos, the deity of darkness is Auroris' brother. Check it out!
It's that time again. Time for us to plop our asses down at the desk and write up all the awesome stuff the team has been working on over the last month. Let's go!
We're excited to announce that our first closed beta (starting with phase #3 and working down to #1) phase will be rolling out soon. That's right! After several years of hard work we're excited to announce that all 3 closed beta phases will be rolling out between August-September, with launch shortly after (yes... in '22)!
Who can participate? If you pre-purchased Redemption's Guild while sales were open, you will be able to participate in the beta phases included in the tier purchased.
Tier 4 - Beta #1
Tier 5 - Beta #1 & 2
Tier 6 - Beta #1, 2 & 3
Additionally, both press and ambassadors will have access to all beta phases.
We'll have more information about beta dates and what will be included in each beta phase in next months development update and the official Redemption's Guild Discord server. If you have any questions, please email Team@unlitgames.com.
What have we been working on?
With beta around the corner, we've been working on ensuring the single-player experience is working properly. If you've ever played a video game you'll know that a bug free game is nearly impossible, but we're trying our best to squash as many game breaking bugs as we can - grab the boot! Once we've determined single-player is working to our liking, we'll be diving deep into multiplayer again to finish up the remaining tasks.
Abilities: We've tested and tweaked several abilities to ensure things are working properly. We're nearly done with our testing and we're excited for you to find which class and build work best for your play style!
Fixing Combat Issues: We've identified and fixed several combat issues. These include, but are not limited to:
Adjusting each enemy races close combat distance and ensuring enemies don't walk into the player.
Fixed an issue where enemies spawning into the arena were having their stats multiplied... this made it very difficult to kill them.
We fixed an issue where players became chuck norris... I mean invincible. No one should hold that much power.
Torvis' (labyrinth boss) fissure ability collider will now hit players - be careful!
Tutorial: We're working on a (more) interactive tutorial system. The tutorial will help guide players through all the basics of Redemption's Guild with both visual queues and endearing words from the deity of light, Auroris, herself!
We also worked on:
Fixing merchant astral shard issues.
Hand animations - ensuring they update when interacting with a UI.
Resolved an issue where the lootbags were breaking.
Throughout your travels you'll likely encounter merchants who are looking to sell their goods. These merchants can only be found in the adventure zones; Areda Dunes and Vohril's Stand.
The items they sell are typically of higher rarity than what you'd find in the Tilnu Tavern and can include both gear and astral shards. It's recommended to have some extra currency saved up, this way you have the funds to buy that last colored gear piece you've been looking for!
Did you know? There are several easter eggs spread throughout Stellaria?
We're back with another development update for our VR Online RPG - Redemption's Guild! Please, come in, take a seat, have a pint (or two!), and read on.
Multiplayer: We've still be neck deep in multiplayer work to ensure all systems are functioning properly with multiple players in a party. We ran into a few barriers that slowed down our progress, but we're happy to say that we've fixed a majority of them over the last week. We are happy to announce that buffs, heals (both single and AoE) and damage abilities are working properly. We also have scene loading working and we're just ironing out a couple of performance issues.
Optimization: During the course of our multiplayer work, we've had to touch several core systems. One of which was how enemies and players load into a scene. After many sleepless nights, 2 tons of coffee, and some magic from the engineering team, we were able to gain massive FPS gains!
Remastered Discord: We're happy to announce that our marketing partners over at Community Villa have completely remastered our Discord server. Come check it out!
If you fancy yourself more of a healer or support type, then you'll likely find yourself playing as a cleric. Where they lack in damage output, they more than make up for with their healing/buffing versatility. Not only are they able to resurrect fallen allies, but they have the capability to change a majority of their skills from single target to an area of effect (AoE) by simply raising their staff above their head. You'll have to think quickly while in the heat of battle, as AoEs will heal multiple allies, but the HP recovery will pale in comparison to the single target version.
Did you know?
Clerics rely on spirit to cast heal/resurrect abilities. Spirit can be replenished by enemies.
Multiplayer: All engineering hands are on deck to get our multiplayer systems fully functional. We're happy to announce that some of the heftier parts of the system are working; e.g. players can join each others rooms, combat, etc. We still a good handful of work to do but we're hoping to iron out most of the remaining multiplayer issues over the coming weeks.
Arena Spectators: This month we also focused on setting up the arena spectator feature.
What is an arena spectator? They are what your friends (or perhaps you) turn into when attempting to join your team in a ongoing arena match. What that means is, if a team member has already started a match, and you're still in the Tilnu Tavern (hub), you'll still be able to load into the arena but you'll be unable to assist in combat. Once the current round is completed, you'll automagically transform back to your original player model and can ensue some enemy ass kicking!
We also worked on:
Polishing the Class Skills page UI.
Creating quests in Areda Dunes and Vohril's Stand.
Performance optimization for various systems.
And much more!
Journal Page - Class Skills
(This page is where you'll purchase skills and assign them to your loadout.) ___________________________________________________________________
Feature Discussion: Questing
Hey adventurer, have a moment?
Yes, we all know what that means, some hopelessly foolish quest giver has a quest for you. Who knows, maybe all they want you to do is go talk to 20 NPCs, then you can turn in your quest for 5 shillings... woooooo...
In Redemption's Guild, you'll find that no two quests are alike. Now, they may fall under a similar type of quest, e.g. kill, collect, escort, defend, etc. but certain parts of the quests are procedurally generated (AKA random). We've also implemented this randomness to the loot drops. Who knows, maybe you'll only make 50 gold, or perhaps they will drop a unique piece of gear you've been needing to finish that red painted set of Emerythian knight armor.
Did you know? In Redemption's Guild you can play with up to 4 friends! ___________________________________________________________________

March '22 Development update
Greetings!
The Unlit Games team is back with another exciting update for Redemption's Guild! ___________________________________________________________________ March - End of Month Update:
Questing: After several months of hard work, we're happy to announce that the questing system is now feature complete and in stable condition!
What makes Redemption's Guilds questing system unique? Every quest is procedurally generated! This means it doesn't matter if you decide to do an assassination, collect, kill, escort, or a defend quest, every single quest will be unique. Additionally, each quest giver can be asked questions about the location the quest objective is located in and the quest objective itself.
Compass: We've completed work (outside of UI polish) on the compass tool.
During your travels throughout Stellaria you may find yourself needing to locate friends of key points of interest. This is where you handy-dandy compass will come in! The compass is located around your characters waist and will showcase where teammates, activated Auroris altars, quest objectives and the cardinal direction north is located.
We also worked on:
A s#$! ton of multiplayer systems.
Implementing additional enemy audio clips - enemies will now play audio clips specific to their race and current behavior.)
Set up quest compass icons.
Polishing the title page UI.
Polishing the passive page UI.
Added a new UI to the main menu that will provide players with more information about each class.
Version control - players will now be unable to play the game if their local game version mismatches the current game version.
And so much more...
Main Menu - Class Description UI (Once you grab an orb you will be given additional class information.) ___________________________________________________________________ Feature Discussion: Obtaining Gear
You hear the deity Auroris' voice from within, "My champion, I have an armament awaiting you at my bestowment altar. " Excited to receive a gift from the goddess of light herself, you quickly open your notebook, summon a portal back to the Tilnu Tavern and step through. Once you arrive, you hastily make your way to the bestowment altar. The altar greets you with a new piece of rogue gear, but this equipment symbolizes more than a "Cool new shiny item." it's a gift from Auroris, honoring you for your devotion in the fight against Lunos' forces.
The story above is just one of the many ways you can obtain unique gear in Redemption's Guild. You can also obtain gear by successfully completing the labyrinth, advancing in the arena, looting enemies, exploring (treasure chests), completing quests, or purchasing them from merchants.
Did you know? There are various easter eggs hidden throughout the world? Let us know if you spot any! ___________________________________________________________________ Be sure to: Subscribe to our newsletter. Join our Discord community. Wishlist!
