Hey Hunters!
Our patch 0.12 has arrived, now with all the new improvements and a few extra fixes based on feedback from our players. We’re committed to continuously enhancing the game, making adjustments that reflect what matters most to you. This update brings together everything you saw previously, along with some additional tweaks and quality-of-life changes we worked on right up until launch. We hope you enjoy the new patch and feel the impact of your feedback on the game!
Here’s what you can expect:
⚡️ Super Affixes
Starting at Tier 2, items now have a chance to upgrade their Regular Affixes into Super Affixes, offering 30-50% more power! The number of Super Affixes an item may have is limited by its Tier. A Tier 2 item may have one Super Affix, a Tier 3 may have two, and a Tier 4 may have three!
These Super Affixes will have a Star Badge icon to highlight their increased power, and the Favorite icon has been changed to a heart to avoid confusion. Super Affixes have increased odds the higher the level of the Mission you’re playing, reaching its cap value at around Level 45. Also, Mass Recycle and Auto Recycle will now give the option to either skip or recycle items with Super Affixes.
🔄 Affix Changes
We’ve reduced the amount of Affixes Tier 4 items may have, as we thought it was just too much information (an Exotic T4 could have up to 8 Affixes!). We’ve also removed the randomness of the amount of Affixes. T4 will always have 2 Prefixes and 2 Suffixes, and an Exotic T4 will always have 3 Prefixes and 3 Suffixes.
To make it more likely to have better Affixes being rolled as Super, we’ve removed some lower-value Affixes like Ammo Drop Rate and Extra Ammo and increased the odds of more rare Affixes, such as All Skill Nodes and Multishot.
**Please note that your existing items will not be affected by this change, as these updates apply only to new items.**
📦 Storage Space Increase
We’ve heard your feedback and increased the Storage Size for all players to 200! Extra Storage Space rewards have been removed to simplify the system.
💥 Combo Rework
The Combo system is getting a major overhaul! Previously, you needed multiple Hunters to pull off Combos, but now, every Hunter can Prime and Detonate Combos solo, making combat faster and more dynamic.
Here’s how the new Combo system works:
- Combo Priming: Any Hunter can now Prime enemies by attacking. - Combo Detonation: After Priming, you can Detonate the Combo with a Detonation Skill. The Detonation no longer causes area damage but instead focuses on the enemies hit.
New Combo Damage Types: Detonation damage now depends on the Hunter you’re playing: - Pinkyy: Impact Damage - Jimmy: Frag Damage - Raff: Magnetic Damage - Ace: Fire Damage - Panzer: Fire Damage - Seven: Water Damage
This means you can now take advantage of damage bonuses based on your Hunter’s Detonation type! For instance, if you’re playing Seven, Water Damage bonuses will now apply to your Combo Detonations. This change makes Combos more flexible and rewarding for different builds!
🏆 New Steam Achievements
We’ve added 18 new Steam Achievements! They are retroactive, meaning you don’t need to replay content to unlock them, except for two of these new Achievements that will only be unlockable with the 1.0 release.

Revive Countdown no longer freezes when opening UI windows.
Damage Numbers now have a new Icon for Critical Hits.
Damage Numbers are now displayed in a more orderly fashion to improve readability.
DeathnatorX lines were updated to reflect the changes made to Combos.
DeathnatorX now explains how Break Bar works.
We’ve reduced the amount of Skill Duration and Skill Range for all Affixes by roughly 20%.
Complete Mission Co-op Quests have been removed.
Complete Help Others Feats in Rebel Chapters have been replaced by “Complete Missions”.
A “Kind Stranger” Chapter no longer invisible in Offline mode, and its feats are no longer autocompleted.
Fixed a bug that would cause Gamepad Cursor to be slower than it should be in multiple screens.
Hard and Epic Exploration Missions now have their Rewards displayed in their Mission Tooltips.
Break Bar debuff is now correctly removed when the enemy leaves the Break State.
Fixed Weapon Range Affixes.
Fixed “Avatar” and “Frame” Augmentation Affixes, they were granting 30% resistances instead of 50%.
Ducan Machinegunner and Turlek Machinegunner have had their VFXs fixed and it no longer looks like the shots are going through covers.
Safety Protest Officer’s Weapon has been replaced by the Riot Control.

Patch 0.11 is Here – 25% Discount in Celebration of Our Early Access Anniversary
Hunters, we’ve reached an incredible milestone: 1 Year of Early Access for Relic Hunters Legend! To celebrate, we’re offering a 25% discount on the game until October 5th.
This is the perfect time to jump in and experience the exciting new features in Patch 0.11 as we gear up for our 1.0 launch.
What’s New in Patch 0.11?
Removal of Online Requirements
Relic Hunters Legend will no longer be an online-only game. Now, you can choose to play solo offline or engage with friends in online multiplayer. Both options are available under the same account, so you no longer need to level up separate accounts for offline or online.
To ensure your progress is maintained, we’ve introduced progress migration from the online servers to your local devices. Your progress will be downloaded the first time you log in after the update, and it will sync via Steam Cloud Save.
Progress Migration Details:
When you first login after the patch, your account will automatically sync from the Live Servers and save your progress locally on your PC.
🛑 Important: You will have until January 3rd, 2025 to migrate your account progress. After this date, we will deactivate the AWS server holding your data, and you will no longer be able to recover your online progress. Make sure to log in and complete the migration before the deadline!

Save Slots
We’re introducing three new Save Slots, allowing you to have multiple accounts. Your old Online and Offline accounts will remain intact, so you’ll be able to have up to five different accounts.
Fashion Credits
We’ve revamped the system for unlocking cosmetics! Your existing currencies (Time Crystals and Shop Tokens) will automatically convert into the new Fashion Credits. All cosmetics can now be purchased with these credits, and the Stranger Shop still accepts Kindness.
Your fashion credit count should be the sum of the tokens and crystals you had in your account multiplied by 10!
The following activities will grant you Fashion Credits:
Defeating Champion enemies
Final Round rewards from Payload, Scavenge, Rift Missions
Defense and Distraction Chest rewards
Special Missions
Help Others Review System
We’ve redesigned the Help Others Review System to reward players who stick together during missions. You’ll now receive a Buff for staying close to your teammates, leading to extra Kindness rewards at the end of the mission. We’ve also removed the Kindness Weekly Cap.
Content and Skill Changes
We’ve added new weapon variants for Ducan Troopers and Turlek Boomers, along with several skill changes to improve solo play for characters like Pinkyy, Raff, and Ace.
#### Skill Changes
Skill Range and Skill Duration stats are now additive instead of multiplicative. We've adjusted some Skill Nodes to be more useful when playing solo:
Pinkyy:
"I've Got Your Back" now adds Overarmor to herself and not just to allies. Skill Node description has been adjusted to reflect this change.
Raff:
"Wrench" now gives Overshield to Raff even if no allies are hit by it. Skill Node description has been adjusted to reflect this change.
"Field Repairs" text has also been adjusted.
"Keytar Blast" now gives Overshields to Raff, not just to allies. Skill Node description has been adjusted.
"Soothing Riffs" now gives a Self Heal to Raff when using "Keytar Blast." Skill Node description has been adjusted.
"I Got You" has been redesigned. It now causes "Soundscape" to grant Damage Reduction to Raff and nearby allies.
Ace:
"Backstab" text has been fixed to reflect it grants extra Critical Hit Chance instead of Critical Hit Damage. It now applies this bonus if the target is affected by a Lure Ability (like Ace's "Holo-Sandwich").
"Sneaky" has been redesigned. It now grants extra Movement Speed when there are no enemies nearby.
Player Trading System
We’ve temporarily disabled the Player Trading System as we rework the function in this new environment. Stay tuned for future updates!

Join Us for a Relic Hunters Legend Progress Migration Beta Test on September 16!
Hey Hunters,
We’re here to ask for your help as we prepare for the release of the next patch of Relic Hunters Legend. From September 16 to 18, we’ll be conducting a Beta Test that focuses on one of the most crucial changes in the game: the transfer of player progress from our online servers to local devices. We also want to test the Cosmetics revamp and Help Others related features.
This will be a technical test, and we’re counting on our dedicated Early Access players to join us in making sure everything works smoothly. Your help will ensure that everyone’s hard-earned progress is safely transferred as we transition to offline and optional co-op modes.
Please note, any progress made during this technical beta will not be transferred to the regular version of the game. You will be able to play as you want, but progression will not carry over.
Once Patch 0.11 is released, the final Account Migration will happen automatically once you log into the game.
Why We Need Your Help 🛠️
As a small indie team, we’ve faced numerous challenges this year. Every decision and change we’ve made has been with our community in mind, but we simply don’t have the resources to test everything on our own. That’s why we need our most committed Hunters to step up and help us make sure these crucial features function as intended.

Unveiling the Future of Relic Hunters Legend: Major Changes and New Horizons
Dear Hunters,
We have important updates and changes to share with you regarding Relic Hunters Legend, our beloved shooter-looter RPG.
As you may recall from our previous announcement in June, we no longer have the support of a publisher, and we needed to find a sustainable way to keep the game alive for a longer time. After careful consideration, we have decided to implement some major changes to the game:
Removal of Online Requirements
Relic Hunters Legend will no longer be an online-only game. You can now choose to play solo or engage with friends in an online multiplayer experience.
During these past months, we've worked diligently to ensure that all Early Access players’ progress in the online version is transferred. As the cloud servers are being shut down, your progress will be downloaded to your devices the first time you log in after the 0.11 update.
The game will now feature save slots. Each "account" will function as a separate save. Players can create up to three new accounts, including their existing ones that will be migrated. If you already had an online account, after downloading the final patch and completing the migration, you will still have three new slots.
The folder containing your progress will sync via Steam Cloud Save, just as offline progress syncs today.
Also, all accounts will be able to play online or offline by choosing to enable or disable online multiplayer before logging into their game. This means that the account progress you choose will be consistent, whether you want to play in single-player mode or online multiplayer.
This is the most significant change we've made so far, and we are already implementing it in our Early Access to ensure a smooth transition for all players.
Player Trading System
Since the current trading system depended on our dedicated online servers, it needs to be reworked to function in a peer-to-peer environment. Therefore, it has been temporarily disabled.
Changes on the Help Others feature
Some features of the Help Others system functioned due to being interconnected with dedicated online servers. With these servers being shut down, we’ll have to remove the ability to Review other players who joined the game via Help Others. We’re exploring ways to provide automatic reviews based on how players behaved in their matches.
Relic Hunters Legend Will No Longer Be F2P at 1.0 Launch
You know how the gaming industry has been changing a lot lately, and new challenges have been presented to various development studios - ours is no exception. With all these challenges in hand, we needed to think of a monetization plan for the game that would be fair to our players and sustainable for us as an independent studio.
With limited resources, both financial and human, we couldn't keep the promise we made in our Kickstarter to make Relic Hunters Legend free-to-play. We didn't want to implement predatory monetization features that would make players spend a lot of time, effort, and money to progress in the game. We want to respect your time and money and provide a complete and engaging content experience. We have to focus our limited resources into making the game as fun as possible, and we just can’t spare the effort that goes into monetization.
So now we’ll remove all monetization aspects from the game. The 1.0 launch will be a fully premium game, priced at $20 at final launch. There will be no in-game transactions or other in-game purchases—just a one-time purchase.
Founders and backers who supported us earlier and were promised monetization benefits will receive a new currency at the final launch that we've created called "Fashion Credit," equivalent to the value of the package they purchased. This currency will also be earned by completing missions and it’ll drop from enemies during your adventures - so everyone will be able to buy all cosmetics in the game.
New Patch 0.11 Content
We have worked tirelessly over the past few months to ensure a more refined gameplay experience. We've fixed various errors, authentication issues, and bugs, many of which were reported by our community - and we’re immensely grateful for all the feedback and reports! This has greatly helped us improve the experience with Relic Hunters Legend and today, the game is more stable and performs much better.
Some of these changes that are already included in the future patch are:
New Save Slots feature and Online Data Migration
Your progress will be downloaded directly to your device the first time you log in after the update.
You’ll have 5 save slots - two with your migrated accounts and three empty spots for you to use as you wish.
Content

Despite the challenges we've faced, we believe in our project and hope players will enjoy the final result. The game will feature approximately 30 hours of story campaign and offer over 200 hours of gameplay for those aiming for full completion.
Our journey so far has been filled with highs and lows, and the game had a somewhat turbulent start. We are aware that removing Free-to-Play isn't what we envisioned during our Kickstarter campaign - we've faced the reality of our situation, making tough decisions that we believe will result in the best possible version of the game for both our current players and those yet to come.
We are incredibly grateful for all the support the community has given to Relic Hunters Legend over the years, from the beginning of our Kickstarter to the more challenging early days of Early Access. We have fixed a LOT of issues, listened to all of your feedback, and we believe that 1.0 is a really good game that we’re proud of. The challenge will be to attract new players and hopefully get our Reviews back up to a good level - if that happens, we can continue working on our dream game and growing the Relic Hunters universe!

We are continuing to work hard to fix the issues found by players after the 0.10 update. In this new patch, we have fixed:
Offline Mode
We've made some fixes that will reduce the amount of issues that were bricking Offline accounts. It's still not 100% solved, but we believe it should be a lot better now.

Panzer's Wildlife Show
The last Story Mission is now fixed and can be played until the end.

Hey Hunters,
We wanted to let you know we’ve reached an agreement with Gearbox Publishing to mutually part ways and have the publishing rights of Relic Hunters Legend returned to us.
Gearbox Publishing was a great and supportive partner. They’re heading in a new direction now along with many of the titles from their portfolio, including ours. They’ve given us full freedom to control our own destiny and the future of Relic Hunters Legend.
We’re now looking for new publishing partners and/or investors to assist us with server costs and continued development, since we have found ourselves suddenly in this very difficult situation.
Our game ran on Gearbox's servers, which are no longer available to us, but we’re proud that we rose to the occasion and set up new servers, in record time, on our own environment, so hopefully the transition should be smooth for all of you. We'll be keeping a close eye during the next few days, so let us know if anything feels off!
We've had to lay off many of our dear friends on the team due to this delicate situation, but we still believe in the future of Relic Hunters and are still hard at work on the game.
We have just released an update with two of the most requested additions to the game since launch: an Offline mode, and a restructured opening experience which no longer requires you to play any Story content unless you want to (no more "forced single-player")!
We’re incredibly grateful for all your support during these years of development, your feedback, your suggestions, and all the love you've shown to our Relic Hunters. Unfortunately, the gaming industry is going through a difficult time and that is hurting many developers and indie studios like us. Still, we’ll remain resilient to continue doing what we love the most.
We truly wouldn't be anything without our community, and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much for being here with us for so many years, and we hope to be able to do this for many more years to come.

New Update 0.10 - Introducing the Offline Mode and More!
Hello Hunters!
Today we bring you some exciting news. We have carefully listened to all the feedback, suggestions, and complaints you have shared with us during these months of Early Access and we have made improvements to the Relic Hunters Legend experience.
What to expect from the 0.10 update:
Offline Mode
You can now play Relic Hunters Legend with no internet connection! This offline mode is completely single-player, and you can access it from the login screen.
This way, you’ll have two saves: one online, where your progress will be stored on our servers, and another offline which will be saved locally on your PC. These saves do not interact directly with each other, so your online progress will not be transferred to the offline mode and vice versa.
This feature was developed after hearing a lot of your feedback and understanding that not all players who want to play Relic Hunters Legend have access to a good internet connection or would like to play it during a trip in airplane mode.
Now you can enjoy this galactic adventure wherever you are!
No More “Forced Single-Player”!
We have changed some aspects of the game's story after listening to your feedback, and now there will be no more so-called "forced single-player." Play the story when you want without needing to complete it to continue progressing in the game.
The initial story experience has also been revised, reducing its length and making it simpler and faster to go through. Another change is in the balance of the early chapters of the Rebel Rank. Now, there will be independent story and gameplay chapters, allowing you to play without worrying about story progression.
New Way to Unlock Hunters!
From now on, unlocking Hunters has become easier: as you level up your Rebel Rank, you’ll receive Hunter Tokens that can be used to unlock the characters you desire. With this change, story quests will no longer be tied to unlocking characters.
New Hunter Selection Screen!
We have made several improvements to the character selection screen, making it simpler to understand and visually more appealing.
Stranger's Shop and Kindness changes
We've revamped the way you obtain Kindness Currency and the essential Ascendant Keys. Now, you can purchase both at the Enigma Store!
Kindness Currency can be bought with Stars that you acquire by playing missions and quests within the game.
The Ascendant Keys will be sold using Kindness.
But wait, there’s more! The Stranger’s Shop is now open every single day of the week. No more waiting for specific days – you can pop in whenever it suits you. Enjoy the ultimate convenience and a smoother gaming experience!
New Adventures Introducing Endgame Content
We’ll have new adventures that will introduce the endgame systems with legendary material rewards.
We implemented this feature to make it easier for all players who reach this stage of the game to understand, a topic that has been raised frequently during these months.
We've also added 2 new Adventures that will introduce players to the Chaos and Broken Eras.
Additionally, we redesign the Treasure Maps and Asteroid Dungeon Nemesis Adventures to have more gameplay-centric Quests to help introduce both features.
Break Status changes
Enemies with the BREAK status are now treated as Frozen, Silenced, and Stunned. This means any skills or character stats that have effects on Frozen, Silenced, or Stunned enemies (like increased damage) will also apply to enemies with the BREAK status.
Performance Improvements & Bug Fixes
We’ve reduced the overall memory usage by reconfiguring our Asset Bundles and texture sizes.
We’ve also made several bug fixes, including Transfering and Enhancing items now correctly update the Gear Score.
