Hello everyone, I have a major update to Rent's Due: The Game today to not only revert the Christmas update changes but also add new exciting features. With that said I know that is going on 5 months since the Christmas update but I have taken my time to get this update ready.
New Features:
Added Support for Ray Traced Reflections, Shadows and Ambient Occlusion (RTX Cards Only)
Added DLSS 3.1 Support (RTX Cards Only)
Added Full Controller Support with a New Menu and Pause System.
Added Auto Save and Manual Save
Changes
Removed Permadeath Mode from the game.
Removed Troll Mode from the game
Updated the tree models for Level 30 to proper palm trees and added more vegetation in general
Not a big list I know but some very welcome additions in my opinion. Other smaller bugs have been fixed that don't need to into the patch notes since they are so minimal. I hope everyone enjoys the new update and the new ray traced additions to the game. I am going to be working full time on Fall Into Insanity from here on out and I look forward to showing you more of that when it is ready.

Rent's Due: The Game Major Update Announcement
Hello everyone, I have some exciting things to announce today relating to Rent's Due: The Game. Hopefully, this update will help bring some new players to the game and bring returning players back to play the new content. Let's get into it.
New Levels
Rent's Due: The Game is finally getting new levels, four new levels to be exact, bringing the level count to a solid 30! So far these levels are shaping out well, Level 27 is inspired by the planet Mars, with my own unique twist for level design purposes. Level 27 brings with it some nice small details. One is interactive foliage that reacts to Tesha to name one.
Level 28 is inspired by the planet Venus. This is a unique terrain as well, bringing with it interactive snow trails since it will be a snow-populated planet.
These new levels will offer unique terrains that are being created using real heightmap data, this allows me to create landscapes and make them very unique compared to designing every landscape just from my imagination.
Small Changes
Now some levels that used weather ended up being very loud, level 25 is a good example of this thanks to the thunder and lightning. Well the volume of the weather effects going forward have been reduced from 100% to 20%. Hopefully this will be a welcome change.
I have also updated several particle systems including money pickups, blocks that disappear and more. The money pickup had a really aggressive white flash before the paper ripping particle effect would play, I am happy to say that the white flash has been removed from this and other particle systems that were affected.
Now for the blocks that like to break and pop out of existence when Tesha steps on them, they have received a new particle effect depending on what block type it is. This basically means that the ice blocks would look different to a metal block when breaking.
Other small changes are not final yet but I will keep everyone informed in the patch notes for the update.
Now when will this update release? Well I don't have an exact date as I am working on this solo but It will be near the end of November if everything goes to plan.

Rent's Due: The Game Definitive Update Launches Tomorrow!
Hello everyone, the Definitive Update launches tomorrow at 6 PM UK time. This update brings graphic improvements, a new main menu design, and more. As previously stated, the update brings with it new system requirements. The updated requirements are now on the store page.
Rent’s Due: The Game - The Definitive Update
Hello everyone!
We have a surprise update dropping for Rent’s Due:The Game soon. This update will be called the definitive update. This update will give the game a fresh coat of paint, more detail and an improved User Interface.
This update will include a new main menu, new ways to choose which level you want to play and potentially a few new language options however that isn’t confirmed.
Several levels will be getting completely new looks in terms of overall atmosphere and background level design. For example, level 20 has now been changed from a completely frozen level to one that is now made up by a beautiful ocean, with icebergs floating around. You may even see a boat pass by.
The update will update several levels with new lighting and added detail, like improved foliage, improved draw distance and more.
As this update is focused on increasing graphic fidelity, this comes with a performance cost so the system requirements will be raised before the update drops. It shouldn’t be drastic but it will be raised to what we think is best for performance.
This update will release before Christmas, but we don’t have a solid date.
Fall Into Insanity, our other game in active development will have more updates next year.
Thank you for all of the amazing support, we look forward to delivering the Definitive Update for Rent’s Due:The Game
