Hello everyone, I am very happy to tell you all that the Christmas update for Rent's Due: The Game is out now. This update features several levels that have been revamped to take advantage of Christmas! This update also brings Level 23 to the game which is by far the most detailed map I have done yet so expect some more demanding processing power!
New Map: Level 23
This update brings along a new map I teased a couple months ago. It is a map inspired by a well known tv show and I hope you all enjoy yourself in a map that I worked hard to create and add my own twist to.
New Settings Menu
I have received a lot of feedback about the settings menu and decided to revamp it. You will also notice that you can now change your screen resolution! Please let me know if you want anymore resolutions added in future updates.
New Weather and Volumetric Cloud System Implemented
This new update also adds Volumetric clouds and improved weather to all the new Christmas themed levels! You will notice Level 5 looks particularly more beautiful than ever before.
Changes
Improved flashlight visibility as well as now allowing the player to freely move the flashlight as they please.

Rent's Due: The Game will be 10% 0ff during Halloween Event
Hello everyone short update on the development of Rent's Due: The Game. I have recently got a new computer and have had to transfer things over so it has delayed me a while so the update that was planned for November will now be released in December, this update will also include the previous announcements however, the time trial mode will not be included. I tested the mode and honestly it wasn't as fun as I was hoping so I am going back to rework on that to try and make it a fun experience.
The December update will add a Christmas theme to the game for the full month of December as well as some Christmas themed levels!
For the time being the game will be on the sale for the steam Halloween event so if you have the game on your wishlist then please give it a try!
PATCH 1.04 is Here and Not Delayed!
Hello everyone, first of let me start by addressing the previous announcement I made about patch 1.04. I said it would be delayed and would not be released by Friday, September 24th. Well turns out I was wrong, the crash I was dealing with has now been fixed and we can move forward with the update!
So what's new?
Improved Weather System For Certain Levels
While developing this update, I had implemented a new weather system plugin into the engine, this made the game look and sound a lot better but sadly that plugin was the reason behind the game-breaking crash.
I had to remove it and rebuild the weather myself and I am very happy with how it looks now, you will notice that snow levels have much better lighting and overall better graphics!
New Traps
This one is pretty small but you will notice some new traps in the game as well as other things that can help you reach areas to get more money.
New Checkpoint Design
This one is another small change but the new checkpoint design suits the game a lot more than the previous one.
Changed UI Effects
After receiving feedback about how annoying the clicking sound for the menus was, I changed the sound effect to hopefully something less annoying.
Minor Changes
Removed Music from Level 1-5 due to players receiving copy strikes on steams or videos. Level 1-5 now has the same music as Level 11-15 until I implement the new music system coming soon.
This update has been the biggest for the game yet but there is more to come, today I am happy to share the first screenshot of the first set of levels I am working on which should be dropping by the end of November along with a new mode, the Time Trial mode.
Remember the screenshot I am about to share is very early in development, the base map is finished but the atmosphere and other areas are not complete yet.
