Hi all, Today is a very sad for me, this morning I started to backup the project as I wanted to upgrade to a new Unity version. It was going well but about half way thru my pc decided to restart. After the restart I thought I'll just copy it all again, but a main proption of my main files where gone, scripts, prefabs basically everything except the loadout scripts and mode scripts.

I've been using a recovery tool today which recovered the project but not al the files, it was the same files as after the restart. Then I done a recovery on the hdd where the old backup was and it recovered all the scripts but where 2 months old. So I thought well 2 months is better than no scipts at all so i opened up in Unity and 999+ red errors, basically everything is corrupted.



I feel so sick atm and can't actually believe what's happened. I was about 2 weeks away from release. Even writing this it's kicking in whats happened.

So I'm sorry to say i'm giving up on this project, 1 years wwork just gone. I do have a version which has 3 wave maps, and weapon range. I will upload this version to a new steam branch which you can play, but I'm unable to update or add anything to it. I want to at least show you what i've been working on and know i'm not messing you about. This was my baby, I was spending every hour working on it. I hope you enjoy the version I will upload. I will take some time away from this and hopefull come back to it after christmas.

RWS v2.0 Alpha Test 3

Hi, I updated the Alpha Branch with the latest version of the Testing Demo for RWS v2.0. RWS v2.0 will be a FREE update to RWS, and is being rebuilt from the ground up.

Includes massive upgrades like, Headshots, New Hitboxes, Bow and Arrows, Sword & Shield (Riot Shield & Pistol is being made), Grenades, Free Aim/Zooming, Third Person View (not fully animated), Command-able Ai & More...

RWS main game-mode will be an open world Survival, where you can build, craft and survive. Will also include game modes like Wave Survival, and Ai Battles.

New Weapons added more being added, all weapons have the correct name now. The Assault Rifle has been replaced with a AK47. Some weapons are dupes as they are placeholders for new weapons.

** Press ESC, and goto Player Settings to unlock all weopons

** Use F to command Ai, you can make them follow you, you can send them to a location and tell them to stay.

** To pickup Objects hold F key and left-click on mouse to throw.

** Hold G to throw grenades while holding another weapon, you can also select the Grenade to hold in your hand

** The Buggy is back, and now deal damage to Ai, also has no FPS drops

** Headshots in the demo are set to 10x, but will prob be around 2x when release.

** Only a few Ai have had the HP set, most are set to 100HP.

Plus loads more adjustments :D

Hi, I've added a WIP Alpha version of RWS 2.0.
You can Test out some new weapons and features, including Commandable Ai, Headshots, Grenades, Flashlight, Per-Texture Footstep Sounds, Bow and Arrows, Sheilds, Free-Aim Shooting/Aiming, New Sky with Weather System, WIP Third Person Mode.

I've added a Test Island with some Temp Zombies and Temp friendly Ai. The Bow and Arrow and Sheilds with have new Models soon. All Hud is Temp. Player Third Person Animations are Temp and not complete.

QUICK START GUIDE!

When you start a World you will see a Box with green smoke pouring from it, you can use F or mouse click to open it and collect all the building parts.

You will only need to do this once, as the Inventory will save. (TEMPORARLY USING 1 INVENTORY ACROSS MAPS). So you will only need to collect the items from one map once.

To use an item press ''' i '' to open your inventory then drag the items you want to use to your hotbar and use the corresponding numbers on your keyboard. (e.g... Drag Foundation to slot 4, then use number 4 key to use)

To remove, make sure you have nothing in your hands then simply look at the item you want to delete and press the '' delete '' key on your keyboard.

To rotate use mouse scroll wheel.

To save! Autosave :D


If for any reason you need to delete the Inventory save file. Open and delete the Inventory.bin from here...
