Hey all, so far many of the technical hurdles remaining have been resolved, as well as new features/improvements have been added such as a much more flexible FOV slider, as well as a speed run time option for those who are up for challenges such as that! Both will be featured in the final demo version along with the full release! Work after this month will involve getting the game deck verified! Monthly Devlog Update: May 2025
First and foremost, since bringing on additional help, the game looks on course to hopefully release this year! A lot of the final technical issues have been related to the engine version, but with the additional technical support, these issues will be sorted (it's also a major factor that's linked to the demo not launching for many)! Of course, as stated many times before, the game release date wont be revealed until I've submitted the final build to valve and they have confirmed it to be ready to do (so when that date drops, it's there and then)! I also have one last Voice actor reveal so keep an eye out for that. I want to say a big thanks though to many who've kept following this game and wishlisting! With the game being approximately 90 percent done, It's been a roller coaster for me for some time, but will be something really cool when it drops! APRIL 2025 DEVLOG UPDATE
Hey all, here's the update for this month! Development still going well, but to improve efficiency, I've been able bring some additional developers on board to help get this game over the line and fix a lot of technical issues that are in the demo etc. Thanks for keeping onboard and following this, will have something exciting to hopefully show off by next month!

Montly Dev update: March 2025
Hey all, back for another monthly dev update, currently with development focus has been on cutscene and menu UI refinement, and many tweaks and fixes in enemy encounters so they feel as polished as possible. As stated in previous posts this game will not release in early access, instead it goes straight to full release. I will also have more to show/reveal in the coming months before the time of release comes! I haven't given a specific release date yet since I only plan to do that once valve has approved the build and everything's locked in and ready to go!

Hey all, back for this months development update! I've been working away at refining the weapon roster further, and can confirm that this game will have some very cool explosive weapons added!

Hi all! Hope you all had a good new year, got some more updates on details regarding Retrowave '84! First of all, in case you missed it, a brand new trailer dropped midway last month, so I'll link it below!
Also, I can confirm that Retrowave '84 will be priced UNDER $10 USD, I want to make this game affordable for all and will have specific details on regional prices and exact price point nearer launch!

December 2024 Development update!
Hey all, just a brief update to let you guys know that a brand new trailer will be dropping for the game this month! So keep an eye out for it...
As for the game, I'm still working away at it, and will keep you posted when it's time to release any details about the game launch itself (date/price/etc) anyways, happy holidays and see you in the new year!
MONTHLY DEV UPDATE - NOVEMBER 2024
Hey all back for another monthly update post! So currently with Retrowave '84 I'm going to try and kill two birds with one stone as they say, and get it both Steam Deck compatible and controller/gamepad supported soon, there's still quite a bit to do on top of that however the game internally is currently able to be played from start to finish! As planned from the get go there will be achievements in this game also! This means it'll be in development a little longer since I want to get this is as polished as it can as well as due to the fact I plan to give you guys the full experience I always wanted from the get go, and make it worth the wait!!

MONTHLY DEVLOG UPDATE - OCTOBER 2024
Hey all, just another quick monthly update, I can now confirm that Retrowave '84 has hit many good internal development targets, and is now over 75% complete! Of course that still means there's lots to do but after several years in development, it'll be sure to be worth the wait!!
I'd also like to thank all those who've followed this game and wishlisted it during the Fulqrum hosted Boomstock 2024 event last month, with this game smashing through 5k wishlists as a direct result, so I want to say again, a big thanks to all who made that possible! Onwards and upwards to hopefully 10k!

September 2024 Monthy Development Update!
Hi all! Just a quick update on plans for Retrowave '84, as development continues to progress nicely, I was able to drop a patch to add launch options for those having trouble opening the demo to get it running. For those still having issues I have one more planned patch but that will be nearer launch of Retrowave '84, which is getting ever closer!
Also Retrowave '84 will be part of the Fulqrum Boomstock Steam event, so keep an eye out for that this month! As always, this game continues to go from strength to strength and will be something special upon release! Till then, take care!
