Hey all! Back for a brief development update! As you may know, next year is the year Retrowave '84 will fully release! 2023 has been a good year for making progress, and 2024 will be no different! To give a rough estimate (and I do mean *Rough*), development is almost 2 thirds of the way there to completion!! Of course, there'll be more demo updates, patches, and compatibility fixes to coincide with the main games development, just to keep things fresh and up to date!
As always, I'm a solo dev, so I can't be everywhere at once BUT I am also very active on Twitter/X (@GameDevKS) for development updates and the Retrowave '84 Discord server (Link: discord.gg/Q9dhTkmvPb ) for direct contact to me, as well as joining an awesome community around the game!

NOVEMBER '23 DEMO UPDATE NOW LIVE!
Demo update for November 2023 is now live, hope you all have a blast with it!
New demo update includes:
- Increased max player movement - More Gibs for enemies - Stability improvements - Various QOL improvements - A LOT of Bug fixes
It'll be quite a long while before the next demo update...but that will be a BIG one...with a brand new level to explore, so stay tuned and as always, thanks for all support so far!
Retrowave '84 November 2023 Development Update!
Here's my plans for this month with Retrowave's development! I plan to roll out another demo update with a fix since some of you were having issues launching the demo by the end of this month, along with a couple other fixes and quality of life improvements so stay tuned! RETROWAVE '84 OCTOBER 2023 DEV UPDATE!
First of all, a massive thanks to all who found and wishlisted my game from Realms Deep 2023, means a great deal! As you may have noticed, the games release window is currently set to launch next year. You can expect further demo updates down the line in the meantime!
In addition, I want to clarify this game WILL NOT release in Early Access. So it'll be some demo updates here and there, then when the time comes it'll be released as a finished game. I want to give you all a completed & polished title, not something undercooked/unfinished.
Lastly as you may or may not have seen, there's a brand new trailer out of Retrowave '84 which has some really cool reveals (can be watched via the YouTube link below)!

Retrowave '84 Dev News - June 2023
Hello all, just a brief update on plans on the next demo update, first of all, the current demo has almost hit 20k downloads, which is crazy! The next major update to it will be around August/September of this year, I've been working away on both the full game and improving the base demo levels, so stay tuned!
Retrowave '84 - May Development Update!
Hey All! It's been some time since my last development news post, so just to keep all in the loop, development still going strong, I can also confirm that this game will have some pretty slick boss fights that are in development, and that the enemy roster has increased a great deal since the old demo. Eventually, there will be a new trailer dropping and a demo update together (some point later this year) so keep an eye out for that, all in all thanks for all the support so far! - KS
Development update!
So first of all, development has been progressing well, with more variety in enemies, guns and more! (Reminder that for anyone curious, I post weekly updates via my twitter handle @GamedevKS)
Also I wanted to provide a big thanks for all who've downloaded the demo, as we just hit 10K downloads! I'm honestly blown me away, hopefully the full game will be worth the wait to you all!
