The Prudent – Xi Ran
Xi Ran’s birthplace is unknown, even in the annals of history. All that is known of him, is that he was taken in and trained to be an assassin at a young age, living his everyday life with fear. While he was forced again and again to murder innocent people, all his heart longed for was a peaceful life.
In a far away village, he encountered a person by the name of Zhi Wei. He took it upon himself to secretly live in the village, just for the sake of peeking through her window, witnessing Zhi Wei’s innocently cute and satisfied face after ‘pigging out’ on all the food she could. For some peculiar reason, this gave him a sense of happiness.
Suddenly, on one fateful day, Xi Ran’s location was discovered by the enemies he made on his murderous assignments. They invaded the village and massacred it, filling a peaceful place with bloodshed. Right at the moment when Zhi Wei was about to fall prey to the blade of an invader, Xi Ran rushed out to save her life, confessing his feelings for her in the process.
His unconditional love for Zhi Wei caught the attention of the Queen of Souls. Wishing to see how long such a relationship could last, the Queen waited for them both in the Spirit Realm. There, Xi Ran could finally break the chains of his past and regain his teenage years, who simply wanted to live a peaceful life by Zhi Wei’s side.
The Innocent – Zhi Wei
Zhi Wei was born with the ability to read minds. This made her feel that the minds of people were simply too complex. She decided to isolate herself, to stay away from town and live a simple life; pigging out on delicious food, which was always her favorite pastime.
One time, as she was wandering the streets of her little village, fate decided to bring Xi Ran to pass by her. He quite quickly fell in love with her. She already sensed his presence, as her ability didn’t allow anyone to keep anything hidden from her. Vicariously, she could see how he felt about her, never forgetting it. In one unfortunate outing, she was found by the tribe she belonged to, and was punished. All five of her senses became poor, and she could no longer taste the flavors of food. But, for the sake of Xi Ran, the man she knew who loved her, returned to her home, pigging out on food by the window.
At the moment when Xi Ran’s enemies located him, Xi Ran rushed to save her life. As she saw the streets littered with the corpses of the invasion, she lost faith in the world she believed to be good, praying that she could really head to isolated place, where no human or creature could disturb her. In this depression, she took her own life, with the sole regret of not having a chance to get to know Xi Ran more.
The Queen of Souls heard this wish come from her, retaining her soul and abilities. In the Spirit Realm, Xi Ran and Zhi Wei truly managed to achieve their dreams. But, Zhe Wei did not reveal that secret, still keeping her innocent, cute demeanor of pigging out. After all, she could finally taste the sweetness of food once again.

Battle Companions: An In-Depth Look II
Picking up from where we left off in the previous article, let’s get right into it
Skills
When your Battle Companion levels up, or gains intimacy, it will have a chance to unlock a Skill Slot, or a chance to learn a new Skill. (Learning a skill requires an empty slot, and you will not learn the same skill twice.) You can also learn Skills with Skill Keys, which are obtained via Daily or Weekly Activities. Skill Keys can be salvaged to obtain the Pages of the same level, which can be combined into a new Skill Key Chest.
You can unlock up to 8 Skill Slots. By default, your Companion will have 2 Skill Slots. If your Battle Companion has 5 skills or less, leveling it up, or increasing intimacy will have a chance to unlock Skill Slots or learn skills. You can also use the specified amount of Skill Hexes to unlock more slots.
Learning and Forgetting Skills
With Skill Keys, you will be able to learn the skill the key provides. By learning a skill, it will randomly replace one skill, or inhabit an empty slot. By using an Advanced Skill Key, it will have 100% chance to replace the corresponding Normal version of the Skill. We recommend you organize your skills with Normal Skill Keys first, so that you can replace with Advanced Skills without worry of loss.
Attributes
Your Companions Attributes are composed of Basic Attributes and Credential Attributes. Each attribute is essential for a specific Stat:
Basic Attribute Points are gained whenever your Battle Companion levels up, or gains intimacy, which then can be allocated into specific attributes for your desired Stats. By using the Points Scheme, you can automatically allocate points at specified ratios every time your Companion levels up. This can be cancelled by setting the scheme to zero.
If you aren’t satisfied with the current distribution, you can use the Reset Points function to reallocate all your used points.
Credential Attributes
By Purifying, you can improve your Companion’s Credentials and Growth rate. However, it is important to understand which stat your Companion is the best for it. Boosting that specific stat will unlock its maximum potential.
Every Purification will require a specified amount of Lycoris Dews. When Purifying, there is a chance you will earn The Chosen rating. The Chosen gives a 10% boost to it’s maximum credential potential. You can choose to remove The Chosen status and be reimbursed with a quantity of Exquisite Lycoris Dews. Under the Upgrade button, Trinity Amethysts can also be used to increase your Battle Companion’s Growth rate, with a maximum of 5 being the usage limit for any given Battle Companion.
Protect
At the Shield Icon Tab, the Guard Bonus from this Companion Array provides bonus stats to your character depending on which position you slot Companions in. The Conversion Rate is fixed as shown in the interface.
Bonuses can be obtained from having multiple Talents. This applies in the form of multiplication. For example, 4 talents and 2 group talents will provide 8.68% (0.24 x 7.0 = 1.68) Damage Stat Boost, compared to 3 talents providing an 8.05% (0.15 x 7.0 = 1.05) Damage Stat Boost. Every Talent a battle companion has provides a 5% bonus:

Note: A Physical Damage Battle Companion can convert damage to Magic, or vice versa! (Based on your class).
Deploy
Upon summoning your Battle Companion, there are three modes available for selection:
You can freely select these modes based on your preference and needs.
Note: You can place your desired Battle Companion in any hotkey to deploy them for battle with just one button!
Remove Pact
Sometimes, some Battle Companions are no longer useful.
Upon removing your pact with a Battle Companion, you will be reimbursed via in-game mail the following items in a certain quantity: Lycoris Dews, Exquisite Lycoris Dews, Acacia Branches, Trinity Amethysts if used and XP items.
All the reimbursed items will be slightly less than what you spent on it.
How to obtain Pet Consumables
You can obtain them through various in-game activities: Ultimate Skill Keys can drop in Level 59, 69, and 79 Challenge raids, as well as Level 65 and 75 Expert raids. Reach 20 Activity Points in the Road to Greatness every day to receive 2 Valuable Synergy Horns. Reach 90 Activity Points every day to receive 2 Lycoris Dews.
The Temple of the Twelve provides big chances to drop Battle Companion Scrolls and various Pet Consumables. This includes rare Acacia Branches, Zodiac apparels, accessories and more! The Noble Treasures now sells Synergy Horns and Normal Skill Key Chests under the Attribute Materials tab. There is also a chance to purchase Synergy Horn, Skill Key Chests and Battle Companion Scrolls under the Rare Specialty. This refresh now happens every 12 hours (Twice per day).

Battle Companions: An In-Depth Look I
By, you have met the 13 Battle Companions we have, who are: Astera, Calia, Qorian, the Hypaean Princess, Mantou, Milly, Shiro, Ren, Bai Zhe, Xi Ran, Zhi Wei, Sai Hua and Haruka Foxwind. All 13 companions have their own personality, either brave and loyal, or acting cute. There will be one for everyone!
The Origin of the Battle Companions
Ever wondered where did these hyperactive and cute companions came from? Legend says that their appearance is closely related to the Queen of Souls: The Queen of Spirit Realm whom possesses mastery on Soul knowledge, formed contracts with fearless souls that were filled with courage and faith. Her intention was to create an army of Spirits, serving under her eternally.
The Queen of Souls sealed them within a Sealing Enchantment book, which confines them in another world. However, she eventually lost interest in these ordinary spirits. As she left, she summoned a Spirit Warden tasked to replace her in monitoring these Spirits. Forgotten by their master, these Spirits eventually fell deeply asleep in the Book of Sealing Enchantment, waiting for someone, anyone, to awaken them.
As we all know, these Spirits are now our Companions, or, an Ausgythian's best friend! Battle Companions are not only capable of battling along with players in various dungeons, but also by guarding players with attributes to make them stronger, opening new possibilities for combat! Every single Battle Companion has their own unique potential, players are freely able to raise, improve, and teach them skills!
How to Obtain
Currently, other than Ren and Haruka Foxwind, all other battle companions are obtainable from the Temple of the Twelve, Noble Treasures, Seeking Spirits, Time Warp, Class Faction Events, Seasonal Events, Ethereal Crusade Maps and many more places! Ren is obtainable through: Time Warp, Seasonal Events and Ethereal Crusade Maps. Haruka Foxwind is obtainable through: Time Warp, Seeking Spirits, Seasonal Events, Spiritual Map or other events.
The Battle Companion Window
Upon obtaining any Battle Companion Scrolls, simply right click to consume and form a pact with your new companion! Click on the Companion Portrait to open the Battle Companion window.
Companion Level
In the window, you will notice Intimacy and Battle Companion's Level. When participating in the mentioned activities, both deployed or Defense Mode Battle Companions will obtain some XP and Intimacy. You can obtain this by doing:
Feeding
You can increase your Companions’ intimacy, or experience, by feeding them Synergy Horns, or Experience Essence Pills.
A Synergy Horn increases intimacy by a bulk amount. Acacia Branches directly increases one Intimacy Level, with a maximum usage limit of 10. (Note: The Acacia Branches directly increase one level, they do not add intimacy points.)
Mood
Each Battle Companion has a Mood Meter, at a maximum of 100. When Battle Companions are deployed and adventure with you, their mood will deplete slowly. If your Companion is in a bad mood, it will be less effective in battle. Make sure you feed them some Mood Crackers, to keep them in fighting shape! (If you lack Mood Crackers, you can spend 300 Imperial Notes in place, to top their Mood up.)
Abilities and Talents
Companions have different Abilities, Talents and Skills obtained through specific talent combinations. While Abilities are fixed, Talents can have a wide difference. Each Battle Companion has two possible Exclusive Talents, along with 18 different Talents from 3 different series. (6 Talents per type of series). As you should have noticed, Battle Companion Scrolls have different rarities, ranging from 1-Star to 4-Star. Upon usage of the Scrolls, the differences are as follows:
By having specific Talent combinations, you can activate a Group Talent effect, which provides specific Active Skills. You can see more information here.
Veneration
Each Battle Companion can be Venerated, to unlock their own unique Awakened Skill. In order to be eligible for Veneration, your chosen Companion needs to:
Simply head for the Book Icon tab to look at each Companions Legend! Upon meeting all requirements, simply click on the Venerate button and you will gain the following:
Devour
In order to replace your Companion’s Talents, you need to devour another Battle Companion of the same kind. Upon Devouring a Companion, the receiving Battle Companion will receive the exact Talents and Basic Attributes of what the Devoured Companion had. The Devoured Companion will leave behind a sum of Intimacy and XP items.
The interface will display the results (post-devour), of your Companion’s talents after the Devour Process has taken place.
Current / After Devouring
Upon clicking Devour, your will be shown a detailed confirmation message. Please ensure you’re fully aware of what you’re about to do, don’t make any mistakes! (Note: Devouring will not affect the receiving Battle Companion’s Rating, Growth Rate and ‘The Chosen’ status.
