Hello Revenants,

This is our first major update in several months, so there are a LOT of changes (thousands, in fact!). We've overhauled the map, added a soundtrack, and reworked the jungle system.

REVN Beta Weekend | February 3, 2023

Hello Revenants,

First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has supported REVN and Ambitious Games through the years - we are grateful for the amazing community that encouraged us to create REVN.

We've worked incredibly hard for the last 5 years. And we’re thankful to all of the talented developers who made REVN what it is today. We can’t wait to show you how hard the Ambitious Games team has been working to develop REVN - with a new trailer dropping tonight (https://youtu.be/WoXGwRJAdAk).

There will be a Beta Playtest this weekend (Friday, February 3rd through Sunday, February 5th) for you to play the latest version of REVN. We believe it is a truly remarkable game made with passion. Of course, it's still in Early Access, so please report bugs in the Discord to help us continue improving the game!

  1. New explosion VFX on Wrist Rocket

Balance Changes



  1. Boring Rounds innate armor penetration reduced from (6/12/18/24/30) to (5/10/15/20/25)
  2. Wrist Rocket weapon power (WP) scaling increased from (100%) to (200%)
  3. Micro Rockets weapon power (WP) scaling increased from (35%) to (85%)
  4. Poison Dart base damage reduced from (200/300/400/500/600) to (200/250/300/350/400)
  5. Poison Dart ability power (AP) scaling increased from (40%) to (80%)
  6. Poison Dart weapon power (WP) scaling increased from (80%) to (200%)

Bug Fixes



  1. Flamethrower visual bug introduced last patch fixed
  2. Fixes to text wrapping with new font
  3. Fixes to Angel and Hunter HP bars so they should no longer disappear

Update 0.15.31

New Stuff



  1. HUD styling update
  2. New Font (Technically made it in last patch, more adjustments to prevent text wrapping coming soon)
  3. Added input buffering to weapons (Should help clean up scenarios causing weapons to miss fire when tap firing)


Balance Changes



  1. All guns now scale their physical damage with 10% of the players AP
  2. Cast time added to thermal vision
  3. Launch Pads should now launch players deeper into the lane
  4. R.I.P.uncturing rounds – Puncturing Rounds item removed from game
  5. Flamethrower – Energy cost reduced from (7) to (3/4/5/6/7)
  6. Heat Ray – Energy cost reduced from (5/6/7/8/9) to (3/4/5/6/7)

Update 0.15.30 - A Small Patch

Hey Revenants,
This week, we’re making some changes behind the scenes to decrease the number of bugs that get introduced in updates. As a result, this patch will be very small. Next week’s patch will be a regular sized update. The main changes in this patch are in the HUD – we’re about 40% finished with implementing the new HUD design, so let us know what you think!

Look forward to next weeks patch being a bit larger as it will be combined with many of the changes made this week.

  5. Minion waves – spawn 33% faster, HP scaling per wave reduced by 25%, Damage scaling per wave reduced 31%
  6. Lifesteal Augment – Cost increased from (450/550/650/750/850) to (550/650/750/850/950)
  7. Targeted Lifesteal – Lifesteal reduced from (3/6/9/12/15%) to (4/6/8/10/12%)
  8. Lightweight Ammo – Ichor cost reduced from (400/700/1000/1300/1600) to (400/500/600/700/800)


QoL & Bug Fixes



  1. Improved toxin grenade VFX fading
  2. Jetpack SFX and VFX no longer remain for players who died while using it
  3. Players can no longer fly vertically with jetpack while recalling
  4. Orbital strike now cancels reloading
  5. Loadouts no longer get stuck in a saving loop
  6. Players can now use chat while dead
  7. Fixed weapons’ being unequipped on spawn
  8. Rally VFX will no longer linger on dead players
  9. Terminal light colors now properly return to neutral when it becomes uncapped
  10. Main menu FPS limit

Update 0.15.26

New Content



  • Bunches and bunches of flavor text – view in the details of abilities in the Shop in Main Menu!

Balance Changes



  • Minion move speed increased from 400 to 425
  • Flamethrower energy cost reduced from 10 to 7
  • Flamethrower base damage increased from (50/55/60/65/70) to (55/60/65/70/75)
  • Control Resist gear spec reduced from 2 per gear lvl to 1 per gear lvl – was (2%-80%) now (1%-40%)
  • Jetpack no longer takes time to refuel and now instantly refills the fuel when the cooldown finishes

Bug Fixes



  • No more floating guns in the lobby
  • Less wonky physics on skins when previewing them
  • Fixed the typo in red camps buff
  • Weapons should no longer just float around in the map
