New Game Mode! Update v1.1.0 ~ Daily Dungeon Mode

Hello!

For this update, we have a new game mode: the Daily Dungeon Mode! There is available a new Dungeon each 24 hours, with three randomly selected modifiers. There are also 4 new achivements that you will unlock winning runs in the Daily Dungeon Mode :)

We are working on a Ledearbord for the Elemental Dungeon and Daily Dungeon Mode and also on controller support and keeping on eye on some balance stuff.

  • Fix: Selection of the Gold Ripper artifact from the Perks was not working correctly (fixed again).
  • Fix: Ice Potion sound effect was too loud.
  • Fix: Tooltips in the Collection Section could be bugged when you returned to the main menu.
  • Fix: Improved navegation between different menus and sections.
  • Fix: Some Artifacts where not getting highlighted when checking the next biome cards.

  • Fix: Void Biome background particles were not working correctly.

We are very happy about the reception that Right and Down has had since the launch. We currently have a Very Positive rating with more than 60 reviews!

First of all, we want to give all of you a very big thank you. As some of you already know, we are a very small team (my sistemer Maribel, and I, Kiko) so your support means everything to us and help us to continue adding new content to the game!

Talking about new content, we are currently working on a new "Daily Dungeon" mode. It's (relatively) easy to implement, and it will add a lot to the replayability for the game. The idea is that for each daily run there will be some random modifiers (some from the current levels and some new that we are working on right now), and once the mode is working, it's really easy to implement new modifiers that we design in the future!

In addition to this, we are working on controller support for the game and will get the game verified for Steam Deck after that.

I watch all the gameplay videos and streams that I find about the game, and I am also reading all the feedback on our discord server / reviews / steam forums. If you find something that is not working or want to give us your opinion on something, please feel free to do it.

  • Fix: It could happen that in Boss Levels the Campsite card was not dealt leading to a softlock.
  • Fix: Poison tooltip was showing the incorrect poison damage value.
  • Fix: Some artifacts sound effects were too loud (Wine Bottle, Philosopher's Stone).
  • Balance: Reinforced Ring Artifact changed cost (7 to 8) and armor given (4 to 3).

Thanks for playing the Steam Fest demo!

We are very happy with the response that the Right and Demo Steam Fest demo has had!

More than two thousand people played the demo, and we received a lot of useful feedback. As a very small indie studio (we are only two people making this game, my sister Maribel and me, Kiko!) all this feedback and positive reaction for the game helps us a lot and encourages us to continue with the development of the game!

Devlog: Ready for the Steam Fest!

This week we have finished adding all the content of the game:


  • 6 different characters (1 starting character, 5 unlockable). Each one will have 3 different starting artifacts and 2 skills to choose.
  • Over 100 artifacts, many of which you will unlock playing the game.
  • 30 different skills.
  • 9 unlockable dungeons. You will unlock a new now each time you win a run!


We have also added a perk system, so that as you unlock more complicated dungeons you also have a small bonus to choose from before starting the game, giving the game an extra strategy layer.



We have also been working on fixing some bugs and balancing some things with the feedback of people that played the previous demo, so you can play now the demo for the Steam Fest! We hope that you enjoy it and look forward to your feedback!
