Features:



  • Mid-game saves!
    The most requested features since launch: Mid game save is now in the game!
    Using an exit will auto-save your current run so it can be continued from the title screen next time you play or return to the main menu.
  • Added Choosable Scrolls which give you a choice of 3 Scrolls.
  • Added Bestiary tab to the Collection.
  • Wishing Well now allows you to select any equipped item to throw in, and be used up to 3 times.
  • Photosensitive option section in Settings with a toggle to turn off flashing attack visuals


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed setting toggles using the term "on" regardless of the selected option, after changing the language
  • Fixed Twitch item drawing issues
  • Fixed issues with Flail's projection
  • Fixed Necklace Smoke to intimidate Crooked Loombird's second attack
  • Fixed room progress bug when loading a saved game
  • Fixed saves loading incorrectly when playing in Hard Mode
  • Leaving a game mid run is not considered abandoning in the statistics page as it can be resumed
  • Fixed Particular Taste Daily Dungeon to affect mimics and shop
  • Fixed Demolitions Daily Dungeon to not include already explosive creatures
  • Fixed incorrect splash damage projection when the player is going to pat a dog
  • Jousting pants effect is removed on combat
  • Fixed issues with Swapper and interactions that disable attacks
  • Gambler's Reward adds health based on the amount of negative stats the player has, and not the sum of negative stats
  • Dog pat no longer shows splash damage projection on neighbours
  • Demolitions Daily Dungeon does not overwrite explosive creatures
  • Particular Taste Daily Dungeon affect mimics
  • Fixes for the mid-game saves on Mac
  • Freeze immune monsters properly project their attacks
  • Hit Owl with spoon achievement now works for all versions of the owl
  • Fixed softlock where player dies, and attempts to use a door with exit modals enabled
  • Fixed a bug where some items were considered freeze items
  • Unstable Tome reverts the equipped Spellbook's cooldown to it's default value when unequipped
  • Fix for Soul Hourglass leaving empty cards in the ring


Translations:



  • Fix Spanish item effect translation for Collateral Damage
  • Updated a number of Japanese translations (thank you, H_Footstep)


Improvements:



  • Added stunned animations for when a certain boss is exploded
  • Stat cards can be discarded
  • General performance improvements
  • Added "All" archetype for item cards
  • Spawn Friend can now be used in boss rooms
  • Added an icon to creature intention tooltips
  • You can now search by the description of items in the collection
  • Items with cooldown effects now all count down until ready to activate, instead of some counting up
  • Added a filter for locked/unlocked Achievements in the Collection


Balance:



  • Reduced number of Amalgams in Light ending levels
  • The Dominant Daily Dungeon modifier start with Soul Spill
  • Reduce Gnashers in Normal difficulty
  • Crossroads can now spawn Wishful exit
  • A Quick Approach won't appear as early
  • Strikers Veil item effect increased from +3% -> +5% per negative Defense
  • Feinting Token no longer prevents retaliation
  • Freezing a Hollower while it's about to cast the Soul Pulse will stop the attack
  • Added health bonus calculated from clarity will no longer be less than 0
    This means successfully drinking cursed potions will always give at least the base heal amount.
  • Fire Dance changed from active with 4 or less items equipped, to 6 or less.

October was big for us with our launch on Xbox, and the new content and features we've been testing in Beta this year will soon be released as well, with our next content drop...

The Time Weaver Update

This will include a handful of items, achievements and quality of life features, including the all time most requested feature: mid-game save!

Beta update 1.3.13b

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed the black screen that would sometimes appear when loading a save file
  • Fix for Soul Hourglass leaving empty cards in the ring

  1. Right click Ring of Pain in your Steam library, select Properties.
  2. Select the BETAS tab and choose the Beta you want to install.

    This is to be consistent with other cooldowns that also count down, such as spellbooks


Balance



  • Wishing Well can now be used up to 3 times
  • Scrolls will sometimes appear as scroll chests
    The rarer the tier of scroll, the rarer it will spawn as a chest

Balance



  • Freezing a Hollower while it's about to cast the Soul Pulse will stop the attack
  • Health bonus calculated from negative Clarity can no longer be less than 0
    This means successfully drinking cursed potions will always give at least the base heal amount.


Bug Fixes



  • Fixed issues relating to Spellbooks and Scrolls being broken
  • Fixed a bug where Spellbooks would automatically be equipped
  • Potentially fixed a bug where the Ambush room would be skipped
    If this bug is still around, please send a bug report
  • Fixed a soft lock in the situation where chests that cost souls are in Ambush rooms
  • Updated Heart Power's behaviour to match it's latest description



Known issue: A few Spellbooks are missing their effect description in this build.
We will fix this in the next update.

Build notes 1.3.06f2 - Twitch bugfix, and welcome new players!

Hi all,

Welcome to our new players! It's been a busy month so far and we hope you're enjoying our game so far.

Our community is always happy to help you get the most out of it, and to learn more about the mechanics, a good starting point is this Strategy Tips post in the discussion forum. Or feel free to join us on Discord!

Bugfix


This patch is a small fix to Twitch extension features with item drawings occasionally getting stuck.

Thanks to everyone who's streamed our game! Do check out the Twitch features via the in-game Twitch button if you haven't already. We wanted to make a creative way for your streaming audience to engage with you.

What's next?


We have new features and content being tested in the Beta branch, including mid-game save, a Bestiary and new items.

We're working to get this ready for release this year, hopefully next month. We're a small indie team and trying to make sure it's solid. Thanks everyone who's reported bugs and provided feedback so far.
