Beta update 1.3.09f2
Hi all, lately we've been mostly working on technical tasks and optimisations, though we have a couple new features in this version.
We had a little hiccup with our stealth test of this update, though the issue should be resolved now for anyone affected. If you find new bugs, it's helpful to report them via the in-game reporting tool (in the escape menu) as this will send us more information to help identify and fix them.
We hope to fully release this content in coming months and appreciate the feedback so far!
Features
Added a Bestiary page in the Collection The Bestiary will display creatures and stats that have been seen per difficulty.
Add filter for locked/unlocked to Achievements page
Save System now has a disincentive to repeatedly continue... After much discussion we feel we've found a good way to help people play and resume at their leisure, while having a consequence for trying to manipulate a run (which most people don't)... Without spoiling anything, all I'll say is you'll know.

Fixed issues with Swapper and interactions that disable attacks
Gambler's Reward adds health based on the amount of negative stats the player has, and not the sum of negative stats
Dog pat no longer shows splash damage projection on neighbours
Demolitions Daily Dungeon does not overwrite explosive creatures
Particular Taste Daily Dungeon affect mimics
Fixes for the mid-game saves on Mac
Freeze immune monsters properly project their attacks
Hit Owl with spoon achievement now works for all versions of the owl

Features
Mid Game Saves
We've been working on one of the most requested features since launch: Mid game save. Using an exit will now auto-save your current run so it can be continued from the title screen if you close the game or return to the main menu.
We expect there to be some issues with this, so if you find any inconsistencies or bugs please let us know!
This feature needs to work perfectly before we can release it in the main game, and this is a test to see how well it performs.
Overview camera - get a better view of the dungeons
This allows you to see the ring from a higher perspective. Overview can be activated by: - Pressing a hidden button at the top of the screen (it will appear when you hover over the top of the screen with your cursor) - Mapping a hotkey in your input mapping settings - Entering Observe mode by pressing UP when using a controller

Thank you all for the feedback on Mimic's Hoard update! We're excited to see players enjoying the new content.
This includes a ton of new features and content so we're glad it's been a pretty smooth launch, and are busy fixing the issues that weren't caught in Beta testing. With the amount of variation in hardware setups it's hard for us to reproduce all issues, and we're thankful for community members helping us identify and fix problems.
Play issue
A few players have mentioned their game's crashed when pressing Play, and we're looking into this as a top priority. If you're experiencing this please try updating your graphics card and Razer Chroma drivers.
Also, please email your Player.log and Player-prev.log files to bugs@ringofpain.com to help us identify the exact cause.

Twitch
This update also updates to the game's official Twitch extension from the test version. The features are the same but if you used it on a previous update you'll need to reinstall the extension on your Twitch channel.

New difficulty and game mode improvements
A Medium difficulty has been added to help newer players prepare for our brutal Hard mode. Medium and Hard difficulty now also introduce new, tougher creatures!
We've also improved the starting items! Double Candle lets you choose a common item to begin with, Dark Stone has increased stealth chance.
Player Statistics
The Collection now includes a Statistics page to see your gameplay statistics! There 4 different categories for General, Combat, Exploration and Item statistics. Some of these have been tracked previously, and some are new.
Gameover screen now shows a map of your path taken.
New status effect: Petrify
Light Damage has been reworked into Petrify, an effect which reduces maximum health and acts as a permanent debuff. We wanted to give Light Damage a new identity to differentiate it from Soul Damage, and in the future it may also be an interesting debuff on the player with items that can synergise with being Petrified. Previous Light Damage items have also been updated to use the new effect.

We're proud of Ring of Pain and our improvements since launch. As a small indie team we took a risk in making a different sort of dungeon crawler game and have been lucky enough to find some success.
This may be the biggest free update we add to the game, and we've worked hard to make it something special for you all.
