Hello, fellow mutants,
following the 1.0 launch we have been working on fixing some immediate issues. In this hotfix, we have the following changes:


  • Fixed an issue that blocked players from progressing after failing the first quest
  • Fixed fatal error that the player experienced while in spectator mode
  • Fixed issues with mission tracking on the controller on the Mission Selection widget and additional UX upgrade
  • Fixed footstep and gun speed animation speed to be synced and footstep sprint sound adjustments
  • Fixed an issue with the Mission summary screen showing double stats
  • Fixed issue with new objective KillZone to prevent more enemies from spawning once the objective is completed
  • Fixed issues with Localization not working on some parts
  • Fixed an issue with the Expandable bridge objective to show task marker on the correct terminals
  • Fixed an issue with the flamethrower playing fire VFX for clients when the gun is empty
  • Fixed an issue with the spectator screen now showing correctly when players join mid-session
  • Fixed an issue with pet return not fully canceling reload animations

Ripout is leaving Early Access and here are all the things that are coming in 1.0!

While being in Early Access for 7 months and with 4 Major Updates we have added:

  • 2 new Enemies
  • New Objectives and Missions
  • New Levels
  • New Sidearms and Melee weapons
  • New Garment sets
  • New onboarding and tutorial
  • Join in the live session option
  • and many more.


New Kill Zone Objective


New Objective - Kill Zone has been added to the game. Players must eliminate a specific number of enemies (scaling randomly with budget and player count) at a specific section of the level to complete the objective.





New Levels


Multiple new levels have been added.





Cloud Saves



  • The ability to have cloud save has been enabled.


Updates to the Characters and Save system



  • Players will be able to now create up to 5 characters.
  • When creating a character, players can select campaign difficulty and opt-in/out to play the tutorial.


Balance



  • Balancing enemy health and damage based on player count and sector progression.


Quality of life updates



  • Additional setting options have been added to the game
  • Sensitivity settings are available for both the keyboard and controller
  • ADS sensitivity settings are available for both the keyboard and controller
  • Enemy health bar can be enabled or disabled
  • ADS toggle option is added
  • More visual options are enabled for players to adjust like film grain and volumetric fog
  • A voiceover volume option is added
  • Added option to stop weapon swapping upon pet return

  • Added ability for players to break free from the ensnare effect with quick melee
  • Added new font
  • Added new UI for Mission Selection and Jump sector
  • Improved IK on Swarmer
  • Improved the standing-up behavior of Zombie and Spaceman enemies
  • Updated the destructible objectives to be auto-destroyed on melee attack or explosive damage
  • Added damage-hit indicators on all destructible objects
  • Reduced Turret damage dealt to a player
  • Updated the destructible door to be auto-destroyed on melee attack and radial damage
  • Robot will not give more components if it's disabled by interaction instead of destroying it with the pet or weapon

  • Reworked achievement stats
  • Fixed the behavior of Mimic door to not instakill players anymore


Minor Bug fixes



  • Fixed an issue where Swarmers can get stuck in big vents if they are getting shot at as soon as they exit
  • Fixed an issue with enhancements are not visible in the HUD while in the Boss fight
  • Fixed an issue with the swarmers forcefully getting thrown out of the nest when they are killed before they fully exit
  • Fixed an issue with enemies that are venting and not facing the player
  • Fixed an issue with enemies stopping and losing the player if the player is outside the nav
  • Fixed an issue with enemies losing visibility of the players in specific situations
  • Fixed an issue with pet scan being too sensitive when there are multiple enemies as a potential target
  • Fixed an issue with Soldier doing the back leg attack when the player is close but in front of him
  • Fixed an issue with the pet going through assets in the level when traveling toward the target
  • Fixed an issue with the tutorial cutscene issue
  • Fixed an issue where Swarmer can die with the shield module attached
  • Fixed an issue with Bulwark vaulting animation being canceled if the Bulwark is attacked with a pet
  • Fixed player character animation blend to work better from landing in place to walking
  • Fixed an issue where the player can run while in scan mode with the combination of inputs
  • Fixed an issue with the tutorial character seeing “???” as his name
  • Fixed an issue with modules teleporting towards the travel locators
  • Fixed an issue with Zombie and Spacemen standing up animation desync
  • Fixed an issue with the Evader sliding in some attacks
  • Fixed an issue with Bulwark sometimes doing the flashbang attack when already dead
  • Fixed an issue with Heavy getting stuck on the corrupted resurrection station
  • Fixed the issue with players getting stuck in the crafting station if placing it from some angles
  • Fixed keyboard and gamepad navigation in the character selection screen
  • Fixed an issue with the player seeing a prompt to use the resurrection token when not having it available on the Boss level
  • Fixed an issue with the Dotter field turning some enemies toward the source of the field

With this hotfix patch we wanted to address some noted issues and additions that have been added to the game:


  • Clients can now see the Jump sector data of the Host
  • Added damage-hit indicators on all destructible
  • Fixed a game crash caused by killing Bulwark
  • Fixed an issue with some Quests not loading
  • Fixed the issue with Heavy getting stuck on a corrupted resurrection station
  • Fixed issues with some Enemy vaulting animations
  • Fixed an issue with Swarmer dying while still having the shield module attached

With this hotfix patch we wanted to address some noted issues.

Additions and Updates



  • Added feature to use Pet Hack on Turrets
  • Updated all collectibles in Hub ship to also be visible to clients before they are placed
  • Added option to convert all more common crafting components into Refine Alloy with one button


Bug fixes



  • Fixed an issue with the Pet gun getting stuck on the player and not being able to be used in some situations
  • Fixed an issue with the Player losing input to fire in the Tutorial sometimes
  • Fixed an issue where when you are in the garment screen and the shuttle is started you can focus on the timer and lose input
  • Fixed an issue with Pet release where if you don't have anything to throw the Pet at, the scan will be disabled
  • Fixed an issue with Pet going through the environment sometimes when being thrown toward the target
  • Fixed an issue with the Blockade door outline not showing correctly when the door is pinged
  • Fixed an issue with the destructible terminal effect still being visible after the terminal is destroyed

Ripout’s fourth Major Content Update is here!

With this update, we are bringing you a revised tutorial and introducing a new AI companion, a new enemy, and many more improvements to quality of life and content. And if you’re still on the fence, RIPOUT will have a free weekend from 10am PST on April 5th to 10am PST on April 8th, so make sure you check out the game if you haven’t already!

Tutorial


Learn the basics in the new fully updated and expanded tutorial.
The story of the tutorial is expanded to help you understand the start of your journey towards the Sanctuary as well as new tips and mechanics that you will learn to be prepared for any situation that will come your way.





Cynthia - AI Companion


Say hello to your new state-of-the-art Synthetic mind pal, Cynthia. She will guide you through your journey to finding Sanctuary.



New Enemy - Leaper


Introducing Leaper - a smaller, fireball-blasting enemy that can swarm you with its unpredictable movement.





New Sidearm - Missile Pistol


Added to the pool of sidearms we are introducing a new sidearm, Missile Pistol.
This sidearm will send rapid-fire explosive projectiles toward targets.





New Destructible - Blockade Doors


New destructible doors are added to the game. They will occasionally block your path toward progression or the vault rooms.



Additional



  • We have reconfigured enemies with the ability to jump! Now all enemies can jump to and from any platform and level
  • Vaulting is improved and new animations have been added for each enemy
  • Pet pathfinding is been reworked so pets will find the most optimal path to the target
  • Price Balance of all schematics
  • The Flamethrower is reworked and new balancing is done for the weapon
  • A new platforming task and level have been added
  • Sessions update - now players can change their session type from within the session options while in the active session
  • Robots can now be attacked with Pet
  • All players will receive quick notifications when crafting components are picked up during the mission

  • Fixed an issue of enemies not being in the same place while in nests for Client and Server
  • Fixed an issue for modules disappearing when the pet is recoiled right before the module is retrieved
  • Fixed an issue with the turret switching targets
  • Fixed an issue where some turrets were invisible to Clients
  • Fixed an issue with Enemies' behaviour getting paused making the enemies not move
  • Fixed an issue with Pet getting stuck on Player after throwing it towards the target
  • Fixed an issue with the Pet scan switching between targets in the scan too fast making the targeting unreliable


Minor Bug Fixes



  • Fixed an issue with camera pitch limits after the player is resurrected
  • Fixed an issue with the quick spinning of the Armed Bandit machine not providing items
  • Fixed an issue where Clients will see the Enemy drop just by looking at the enemy before killing it
  • Fixed an issue with weapon sound attenuation
  • Fixed an issue with the Pet turret not firing when thrown for the first time
  • Fixed an issue with the Pet turret fire effect not being shown when Pet is firing from specific angels
  • Fixed an issue with Swarmer not seeing the player when both are next to the edge of vaulting windows
