Introducing Galactic Glitch: Prologue - Join the Playtest Now!
Greetings Legioneers! 🚀 It's been a while, but now we have some thrilling news for you!
We're soon launching "Galactic Glitch Prologue," a new FREE version of our upcoming game!
The game is an Action-Roguelike with physics-based combat. You'll be fighting in bubbles of glitched Spacetime, hurling asteroids, bouncing foes off of walls and destroying your enemies piece-by-piece on your path to break out of your galactic prison!
The Prologue version includes:
Two full levels, each with unique enemies and environments
Multiple NG+ modes, with new enemies, new combat setups, and other added challenging elements
A hub area, where players can restock supplies and decide where to head out to next
Three Challenge Modes, where players face waves of enemies in ever more difficult Arena-based
Tons of weapons and powers for you to experiment with and find your favorite builds!

For the last two years, Crunchy Leaf Games has been working on our new game called Galactic Glitch and we're now ready to present it to you!
It's an action-packed Space-Roguelike, where you fight your way through glitched bubbles of spacetime. You'll fling rocks, bounce enemies off walls, and destroy your multipart enemies piece by piece in super fun and physical combat! 🚀 💥

The game focuses much more heavily on 2v2 and Co-op mode, as these modes guarantee tons of action and allow for much more skill and strategy than the old 1v1 mode. The game is definitely best enjoyed with a friend, or by partnering up with another player. That way you can swap and plan tactics and strategy and find the optimal ways to plan you decks!

Rise of Legions - Update for Relaunch
Hey everyone,
we have an update on the Rise of Legions relaunch for you. Polishing and preparations are going smoothly so far, but unfortunately there was an issue with setting up the new app in Steam, which is forcing us to delay the launch by a few days. The new launch date is going to be Dec 20th, shortly before Christmas. It's going to be a busy time for everyone, but we really want to get the game live again, so we think launching as soon as possible is best in this case.
We know, delays are never great, but the upside is that we will get more time to polish the game a bit more for you! 🙂
With that out of the way, it's time to announce the game's new title. It's going to be... drumroll... Crystal Clash!
The Steam page is already up and running. It would be a huge help for the game if you could head over there and wishlist it, so you get a note on release day, and so Steam knows that fans are already excited for it! ❤️

Rise of Legions - Future Plans & New Horizons
Hey everyone,
as you're probably aware, RoL hasn't had the highest player numbers lately. Since launch, the game's player count has gradually decayed. This isn't just a problem when queuing for matches, it also means the game makes almost no money, to the point where we are now paying money out of our own pocket every month to keep the game running. It's clear that this isn't possible for us indefinitely, so we've been urgently trying to find a solution to keep the game running.
Our publisher Crunchy Leaf Games has offered to continue the game's legacy but It won't be possible under the same name, as that is Broken Games' property. We think that’s a small bargain, if we can keep the game going and you, as loyal community, can keep playing and enjoying it. A new name also means a fresh start. The game is going to have a new launch, with a new Steam page and app. So you'll have to download the game again from the new page. But don't you worry, we are going to do everything to ensure that all your credits, crystals, decks, icons, and anything else you earned while playing will be kept exactly as is.
That being said, we want to be straightforward and honest with you. There will be some rebalancing in pricing of bundles, skins and icons, as well as some rewards. We will also focus the game more strongly on 2v2 and co-op than before, at least for the launch. The changes are supposed to help make the game profitable again, but they shall also encourage new players to jump into higher leagues quicker and to make purchasing crystals a bit more appealing to players that want to flaunt their fancy new skins to their friends and enemies :)
So not only will RoL be getting a fancy name change, but also a player-base-boosting relaunch!
The only real downside for you is that the game will have to go offline for about a week while we manage the transition. We are planning on doing this from Dec 2nd to Dec 10th.
These are going to be some exciting times! The relaunch is bound to bring in a new wave of players, and we're overjoyed to see what the future will bring for the game and for our fantastic community! We hope you enjoy the last days of *Rise of Legions*, and look forward with us to this exciting new beginning! <3
Rise of Legions now Open Source - Have a look behind the scenes!
Hey Legion Overlords,
while the next balance patch glances at the horizon, we are happy to announce a big step to give something back to all coding enthusiasts and game development fans: The complete source code and files of the Rise of Legions client and game server are now Open Source and publicly available!
Your are surely asking why we are taking this step: As we are passionate programmers we know that you are often curious about how something has been made. A lot of software looks like it is something you could never code, but everyone is cooking with water, but some only have a lot more cooks ;) We want everyone to be able to explore our code base how things are made and maybe find something interesting or inspiration that you only need passion to also deal with big projects. As we are still running Rise of Legions on Steam as a real product, we of course ask for a responsible use of everything in this repository. Moreover we only reveal our client and game server code. The master server code and supporting stuff will remain closed source as long we can keep the game live to everyone to enjoy ːsteamhappyː

Moreover as you might know the whole game is based on a custom engine written in Delphi. Today there are Unity, Unreal and a lot of other game engines, but when we started the project years ago it was far harder to find a good one. It may not be able to compete with other engines nowadays, but if you are interested how a solid foundation of a game looks like, you can have a look at it too!

And as all good things come in threes: Our sound designer Michael made the files of the Fmod project available, so interested audio enthusiast can have a look under the hood of the awesome sound handling of Rise of Legions.
