Behind the Beat: Engine Update, Stability Fixes, and Performance Boost
Hi VR Rockstars!
This patch release brings some fixes and improvements behind the scenes to improve the experience.
Most of the changes are related to the engine update. Still, it also comes with stability fixes, such as one associated with the multiplayer and a hang that could happen in one of the guitar tutorials. You should also notice a more stable framerate for some hardware configurations.
As always, a brief summary of the main changes for the 1.5 release:
Engine upgrade
Fix for a case of guitar tutorial hanging
Stability fixes
Performance improvements

Power Surge, local leaderboards and fixes from reported issues! 🎸
Hi VR Rockstar!
Here we are with another update, this time with a new requested gameplay feature and some fixes based on your feedback and reported issues!
While playing guitars (drums will come next), players can now enter "Power Surge" status mode, where you can double note scores at the cost of some health consumption:
While in this status, you'll slowly deplete your health bar and won't gain any more by playing notes correctly until you repeat the gesture to return to the normal status. You can use this strategically to optimize the score, but remember to pay attention to your health bar!
Another requested feature was a way to keep track of the custom songs you've already played at least once. We did a little more and added a local leaderboard that is stored locally for your custom songs! You can now attempt to improve the best score on your favorite songs.
Some users reported more details about having issues with drumstick collision detection. We could reproduce it and include a fix for this version. We hope this will fix any related issues.
We received other miscellaneous reports, such as wrong multiplayer spawn, unwanted drum kick activations, and guitar settings reverting to default while playing campaign mode. We should have addressed them all in this update, and we hope you'll enjoy it!
Here is a summary of the main changes for the 1.4 release:
Power Surge mode! (only guitars at the moment)
Local leaderboard scores for custom songs
Improved drumstick collision detection
Fix for drum kick activable in drums classic mode
Fix for guitar settings resetting when playing campaign mode
Multiplayer fix: players could happen to spawn on a single-player stage
Fix for in-game custom song deletion
Touch Controller default bindings: Pause button moved to stick-click
Fix for "\n" appearing in some tutorial text
Fix for some missing localizations
Stay tuned for the following updates, and keep rocking loudly! 🎸🎸🎸🥁🥁🥁
Improvements about drums, network stability, and minor fixes
Hi VR Rockstar!
We've got another update coming your way, packed with improvements and fixes based on your feedback.
Thanks to the added support of the .chart maps for drums and the .wav audio container, the game should now be able to import more custom songs.

We've also investigated reported multiplayer connection issues and tackled some to ensure your online sessions are more stable and reliable.
In addition, we've corrected some other minor annoying bugs, such as disappearing laser pointers in the menus at the song's end and a clicky sound when navigating through the skin customization menu.
