Update #26 Multiplayer mode!

Hello VR Rockstars!

We are happy to announce that the multiplayer update is now finally available!

From now on, you can challenge your friend, or match with randomly connected players, or, if no compatible game is found, play against a bot.
Notice: Any song should work, the only requirement is that both players have it.

At the moment, if you want to play with a friend, one should create the server and the other one should enter through quick play shortly after.
We are also working on the steam invitation system, we'll include that feature in the next update.
Note: As this is a challenge mode competing for the best final score, playing together will require you to choose the same instrument before hosting or joining a game.
Also, we are aware that some of you would like to have a co-op mode too... stay tuned for that!

We are eager to know what you think of this update. We always listen to your feedback and we are convinced that it is also thanks to you that the game is getting better with each update.

Below is a brief summary of the update:
- Multiplayer VS mode:
- play the same level 1 vs 1, compete for the best score
- play any song owned by both players
- list of connected friends
- invitation requests/join support (coming soon)
- play with a bot in case of no matching
- Improvements in guitar pick movement
- Fix for pause menu triggering
- Other misc bug fixes

Stay tuned and rock hard!

Update #25 Playability improvements

Hello, VR rockstars!

We were currently working on a bigger update, but it's taking a little longer than expected and we finally decided to split it up and release part of it today.

This update brings some changes to improve the playability, especially for the guitar modes.
To increase the readability of the charts, notes will appear on a sloped plaform with some new destroyers, allowing players to see the moment they need to play the notes more clearly.

We also reworked the hand position indicator

As for drums mode, we added an option to have 'sticky' or 'togglable' grip for drumsticks:

As requested by some users, especially for drums mode, we also added a new volume slider for those who would like to hear the sound of their instrument above the music track.

In addition to the reported changes, a lot of work has also been done on some background codebase changes, which will be part of the next update, which we will hopefully reveal soon.

Brief summary of the main changes:
- New note destroyers for guitar modes
- Better hand position indicator
- Sloped platform to improve notes readability
- Player instrument volume in the audio settings

You won't find misterious buttons or sliders in the UI anymore. Instead you can now open the new settings menu almost everywhere in the game and you'll find all of the settings organized in tabs.
It should be more intuitive for you and we can also add new settings without cluttering the menus.

We hope you'll enjoy the update!

UPDATE #22 - Kick Drum!

Hello, VR rockstars!

In this update, we add a different playing style for the drums, allowing you to play with the bass drum.

To play the kick drum, you could bind a USB pedal (like one of those that emulates keyboard keystrokes) to a button to play the kick, or you can also use a VR controller's button.

Numerous other changes have been made to this version. Such as the ability to use the guitar pick by pressing a button on the VR controller, or some graphical and usability improvements.

For example, we have also replaced the text tutorials in the menu with small, more accessible and explanatory videos.

Finally, we have included several fixes and balance improvements to enhance the overall experience.

UPDATE #21 - Campaign and Drums improvements!

Hello, VR rockstars!

With this update, we are introducing several improvements and the "Campaign Mode" for the drums as well. Just like with the guitar one, each level you pass will allow you to improve your drumming skills and reward you with the unlocking of unique skins!

Numerous additions and improvements have been made to the virtual drum kit:

You can move the drum pieces around, and their positions will be automatically saved, and subsequently reloaded each time the game is started.

Just in case, we have also added a reset button, so you can always restore the original positions.

Following your feedback, we added the option to display notes "in line" instead of "on pieces".

You can also change the virtual drum set display to an "invisible" mode, which for some of you may allow you to better visualize the overlap between the note and its drum piece.

We've also made additional fixes and improvements, most notably an issue regarding detecting the timing/accuracy with which the player hits drum notes.

The controller customisation menu has been moved to the mode selection screen, and it should now be possible to use a physical controller for playing the drums as well.

Finally, to make sure nothing is missing in this update, we've also included a new OST entitled "Rise of the djentlemen", with related unlockable skins and levels for drums and guitar

Below is a brief summary of the update:
- Drum Campaign
- Drum skins
- In-line and on-piece options for drum notes
- Option to hide drum models
- 15th OST: Rise of the djentlemen
- Drum piece placement is now saved
- Option to restore original drum part placement
- Key rebindings has been moved to mode selection
- Controller support for the drums
- Fixed precision/timing detection issues for drum notes
- Fixed a drum piece placement issue

UPDATE #20 - Drums!

Hi VR rockstars!

Starting with today's update, you will have a new instrument to play in your virtual concerts:

You can practice in the menu, play it in "free play" mode in one of the 14 OSTs included in the game, or try to import your custom songs produced with the community tools. Our custom editor will return in future updates.

A dedicated campaign, with unlockable skins, will also arrive soon.

To accommodate the differences between the multitude of controllers available in VR, as well as the fact that we love having options, we have decided to give you the possibility to choose "classic" and "advanced" hand play-style mode:

We also took the opportunity to improve the flow and clarity of the menus, you won't lose the grabbed guitar anymore while navigating in the menus, you can still hold the guitar while changing its skin for example.
Also some UI elements, such as some gameplay modifiers, will only be visible if they make sense for the current instrument and/or play-style.

A brief summary of the update content:

- New instrument: Drums!
- Freeplay mode levels for Drums (campaign coming soon)
- "Classic" or "Advanced" for "Hand" play-style
- Menu flow improvements
- More confortable angle for UI laser poiters
- Other misc fixes and improvements

Your constructive feedback is important to us, as always, stay tuned for the next updates!
