Multiplayer games had an issue with clients taking over the host. The host also would respawn instead of taking back over their previous location. Both have been fixed!
Also updated the game icon to match the new look. Enjoy!
Choose a new Character, experience faster crafting, and more with Build 94!
1. New character - There is a new 2nd female character you can choose to play as. 2. Reduced time to cook - Many recipes take less time to prepare now. 3. Different characters have different equipment and stats. 4. Monsters no longer obsess over dead foes. 5. Skeleton assassin attacks properly now. 6. The Skeleton knight has the proper weapons shown. 7. You slow down when within 5% of being overweight (instead of being within 15%). 8. You can now mine with a tool that meets or exceeds the needed tool type. For example, a Tin Pickaxe can mine Copper mines (which require at a minimum an Iron Pickaxe). 9. Fish now count as their own food group and their benefits can be combined with meat and vegetables and grains. 10. Durability increased on Twine armor. 11. Faster to make twine cloth. 12. Destroying a crafting station results in it dropping a bag containing its inventory. 13. Fixed a tree replication bug where server chopped trees did not appear on clients. 14. Fixed duplicate character issue in multiplayer. 15. The gate to zone 2 now opens and shuts properly. 16. Updated ore graphics for all mines to indicate which ore it is. 17. Moors trees drop more resources (in line with the terror forest). 18. Regular bear drops eyes now.
Build 93 is up!
The Terror Woods have been updated to include several new points of interest and items to loot.
There are now a few caves from which you can find resources of stone and iron to mine from.
Look for wood piles in the wild to loot wood from.
And if you did not notice, the main character has changed in the screenshots. You can now change your character when you create or join a game. You can pick from the Male Slave (the one you had by default before,) a male peasant, or a female barbarian. Expect features in the future for the characters!
And last but not least I fixed a giant bug in the last build that made many things a one-shot kill. You also started with 4 hitpoints and that has now been fixed to the expected 25 hit points. I also added a bonfire to the starting area so that you will not die from cold if you happen to die during the night or when its raining.

The Gate to the Dreadful Moors can now be opened with the Totems found in the Terror Woods! The Moors contains all new creatures, food, potions, treasure, locations, and animals. It's included for free so go check it out!
Gather the totems needed, open the gate, and conquer the goblins, golems, and advanced monsters in the Moors. Mix new potions, weave new armor, mine new ore, and even find new exotic fish in special areas.
Dive into the massive underground tomb and explore for new treasures and foes to conquer. Build new reinforced buildings to survive the onslaught of wandering tribes.
Do this and more in the Dreadful Moors. The land you can explore is now more than twice as large as before.
Some quality of life changes: 1. Screen blur is now off by default 2. Weapons and tools take less stamina to swing 3. You have far more inventory slots in most things
These items are included and over 200 bug fixes!
Season 2 Now in Private Testing
Testing on Season 2 has begun in earnest as I iron out balance issues and bugs. Most of the new content is present in the form of new food, crafting recipes, creatures, resources, base types, and more.
Each FREE season contains a completely new area which in essence is a whole new game unto itself if you compared Rogue Frontiers to other survival games.
I would like to have the Dreadful Moors out by the end of 2023. I've reworked several internal mechanics to support the faster roll-out of seasons so future updates should be faster.
Thank you for all of your support!
Season Two - New Mobs Incoming!
Season Two development is well underway with the release of the Dreadful Moors being front and center with the release. The Dreadful Moors is the next land you can encounter and is full of new monsters, animals, dungeons, armor, weapons, food, base building types, farm crops, and crafting items.
Goblins infest the Dreadful Moors but some familiar monsters are also present; albeit in a different form. Dread Ghouls make an appearance and you will see other familiar faces! They are much more deadly in the Moors though so you will need to mine new ore, craft new armor and weapons, and prepare yourself for battle.
I've already designed twenty new weapons for the Moors and the new padded armor set is available in the land to protect you against the improved enemies.
More to come!
Quick Fix
Fixed exit of zone bug. Nothing major.
