Quests are coming to Rogue Harvest!
The next update will feature a new Quests system.
Each RPG-esque Quest is going to be relatively simple, for example the first quest in the game asks the player to gather 20 Wood Logs. Once the Quest has been completed the player is rewarded with Experience points and a few Souls.
This is a great way to give new players a bit of direction in the game, without forcing them to play a certain way - quests can be completed at any time. This will award players for doing specific tasks, giving them more XP and Souls to utilize, which are well needed during Winter and the End Game which are drastically harder to survive in.
A few later quests will be Story related and help flesh out the mysterious circumstances our protagonist is facing.
Overall, I hope that adding in small quests will give some players more direction and satisfaction in completing tasks, while in no way taking away any of the game's freedom or exploration.
I'd love to hear feedback on this idea, as well as any ideas for Quests!
Version 0.97 is now available!
I just released the latest version of Rogue Harvest! Many bugs have been fixed, I've created new music and touched up the UI and Menu's a bit as well. Their is a new enemy to discover out there, along with more dynamic enemy stats to encounter. You may uncover something truly disturbing if you dig deep enough, enjoy!

- Skeletons base stats are now dynamic, they are slow & weak in the early game, but become faster and stronger with each passing day. If this change helps new players and keeps the end game challenging, i'll look into expanding out to all enemies.

- Increased the chance of becoming poisoned when eating raw meats.

Version 0.96 Preview
Version 0.96 is nearly ready! This patch will let you craft a Bucket, a new item that can carry water (or other liquids). You can now water your plants for them to grow much faster, essential for farming!
I've also added some new animations to the player and other items to give the game a more fluid. Along with that, a number of bugs and glitches have been ironed out.
I'm in the process of testing and tweaking the update now and hoping to release in the next few days!

Lucky Charms, Chairs and more - version 0.94 pre-announcement
Version 0.94 is currently being worked on - hoping to make it available as soon as possible!
I am adding clovers around the world of Rogue Harvest - if you are really lucky you may just find a 4 Leaf Clover.
I am also very excited about adding Chairs into the game - because chairs are something worth being excited about right? (I'm not that funny - but your home will look very nice with a set of chairs, and they also serve a functional purpose).
I've got a 1000+ ideas for Rogue Harvest but will try to also focus this update on more bug fixes, better balancing, and making sure the game runs well.
I am also working on bringing Controller support to the game - and it will be partially playable with a controller when this next update hits. I'm hoping to have the game fully working with controllers within the next few updates.
Anyways - I wanted to keep you up to date on the games development. I can't thank the people that have spent time with the game and provided feedback for it enough, you guys kick-ass!
