5. New PvP Rank Rules Warlords entering PvP for the first time used to struggle against much stronger Warlords. Also, Warlords who hadn't participated in PvP in a long time would have to start over from a lower rank. Players weren't being matched with suitable opponents, resulting in stale or unfair gameplay. To fix that, artifacts and relics will be added and upgraded stats will be adjusted for Sage King and lower tiers. Hopefully, these improvements will make PvP a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
※ These rules are currently in a trial stage, and will initially be applied to Annihilation and Grassland Battle only.

7. Xiahou Yuan Added to Meng Mei's Trial - Starting in November, Xiahou Yuan will be the new enemy leader in Meng Mei's Trial.

■ November's Enemy Leader – Xiahou Yuan
- Xiahou Yuan is the enemy leader of "The Final Storm." - Alongside his lieutenant Zhang He, Xiahou Yuan stands his ground against Shu forces to buy Wei's troops enough time to make a safe retreat. - Enemy leaders Xiahou Yuan and Zhang He stand united, sharing received damage even when separated by distance. When their attacks are successful, they run far beyond your reach and plow through your allies. As a result, ally formations and trap placement are of the utmost importance. A proper strategy against their elusive maneuvers is the only way to deal significant damage. - Xiahou Yuan will not retreat, and can only be defeated in a duel against Huang Zhong under the following conditions.
■ Battle - You can assign up to 8 commanders. - Key commanders are Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Huang Zhong, Yan Yan, Fa Zheng, Zhuge Liang, and Demon Zhuge Liang. - When key commanders are deployed, or if a condition is met during battle, you'll be rewarded with special effects and events.
■ Battlefield Features - Backed into a corner, Xiahou Yuan and Zhang He give their all in a last-ditch assault. 1. Officer Battle
- Officer Battle unlocks at Warlord Rank 35. - Officer Battle is a PvE mode where you battle a slew of enemies to earn ever-greater rewards. - Unlike other battles, you will have access to artifacts, passives, and even commanders yet to be obtained or recruited. - Strategically place your commanders, set your turns, and observe the automated battle that ensues! - Officer Battle will be a permanent fixture of the game, unlike limited content such as the Trial of the Gates. Officer Battle matches can be stopped mid-play and resumed at a later time. - These battles also have a unique set of rules that you won't find anywhere else in the game.
1) Starting an Officer Battle - To initiate an Officer Battle, you need an Officer Battle Voucher. - You can purchase vouchers from the Officer Battle menu for 1,750,000 Rations. - If you don't own any vouchers, you must purchase them one at a time. - One voucher will be spent per battle.

2) Officer Battle Matches and Enemies - There are a total of 12 matches. - Upon initiating the first match, all 12 Officer Battle matches and their enemies are set at random. - Prepare yourself by viewing information on future matches, including what enemies you'll be facing, in the Match Info menu. ▲ Match Info lists enemy commanders, win conditions, battlefield/weather, and passives.
A. Officer Battle Matches - In Officer Battle, you will face 12 random matches out of over a hundred possible challenges. - Enemy units and equipped artifacts differ based on the match. - Since things like turn limit, battlefield type, and weather will change every match, you'll need to adjust your strategy accordingly. - Some matches will feature unique win conditions and passives that benefit your allies. ▲ What strategies will you utilize in Match 1's "Magic and Tactics"?
B. Powerful Foes - Matches 3, 6, 9, and 12 feature the most formidable foes. - They have unique passives in addition to being an overall greater challenge. - Taking them out is an ideal way to prepare for more difficult matches. Should you be victorious, you'll be rewarded with better commanders, artifacts, and passives to use in future battles.
C. Seal Conditions - While you earn Silver Coins from winning battles, you can also win them by meeting a match's seal conditions. - There are up to 3 seal conditions per match. - New seal conditions are as follows:
D. Commanders, Artifacts, and Passives - Commanders and artifacts can only be used once per Officer Battle, meaning you'll receive different commanders and artifacts for each of the 12 matches. - Each battle will challenge you to create formations with a randomized set of commanders, artifacts, and passives.
① Initial Commanders - Upon entering Officer Battle, you will select 5 commanders. - Each commander will be equipped with artifacts and passives that match their characteristics. - As these cannot be unequipped, they are called "bound artifacts" and "bound passives."

② New Commanders, Artifacts, and Passives Upon Victory - You can summon one new commander every time you win a battle. - You can also choose one artifact or passive to use in the next battle. - Lastly, you can use currency to refresh your commanders and receive additional supplies. ▲ Commanders will join you after winning a battle. ▲ New artifacts and passives will also appear.
③ Artifact and Passive Types - Artifact and passive conditions are as follows:

※ "OOO increase" refers to an increase in a commander's ATK, DEF, WIS, AGI, or MRL. This is similar to increasing a commander's stats via "Self Concentrate" or "Deadly Strike."

① Shared Ally and Enemy Rebalances - Status effect accuracy decreased. - HP absorption of Lifesteal Attack % decreased. - Piercing Attack stats decreased. - Desperate Attack damage reduction increased by 5%. - Catapult terrain advantage increased by 10. - Pantheran terrain advantage decreased by 5.

[Developer's Comments on Officer Battle AI Rework] - One of the main goals of Officer Battle is to defeat the enemy. - The overall nature of Officer Battle, however, put certain units at a disadvantage. Physical attackers were designed for direct combat and to only resort to tactics when out of range, so their tactics aren't nearly as useful as those of other units designed with a focus on tactics in mind. - Officer Battle is meant encourage the use of all commanders and units for a mix of strategy and fun, so we made some tweaks to give physical attack units a fighting chance in a tactical environment.
A. Physical Attack Units - If physical attack units are out of range and don't have any effective tactics available, they will prioritize attacking an enemy in a different row. - Tactics will only be used if there are absolutely no other enemies that can be attacked directly. - Tactics will only be used if they're the most effective option.
B. Warlords and Dancers - Warlord and dancer commanders will always prioritize physical attacks. - Warlord commanders will use Inspire tactics more effectively.
C. Geomancers and War Cantors - Geomancer and war cantor commanders will make better use of Awaken tactics when an ally is afflicted with a status effect.
※ Ally and enemy units share the same AI, meaning these changes will apply to both ally and enemy commanders. ※ This AI update will only apply to Officer Battle. No other content will be affected. ※ Officer Battle AI will continue to be refined after the initial September update.
F. Officer Battle Matches
① Battle Preparations - You will be given time to prepare for the match before battle begins. - This involves assigning commanders to one of the 3x5 tiles and deciding their movements beforehand. - You can also tap "Auto Assign" to automatically assign commanders. - Tap "Turn Settings" to decide each commander's actions during their respective turns. - Once preparations are complete, tap "Battle Start" to begin! - Should you decide not to battle, you can always tap "Return" to exit the battle screen.
※ You cannot place 2 or more commanders in a single line. ※ Tapping "Reset" will return commanders to their default settings.

② Basic Battle Rules - Officer Battle proceeds automatically. - Each commander attacks an enemy in the same line (horizontal) first. - Commanders cannot leave the line where they are placed. - If there are no enemy commanders in the same line or if an enemy is out of range, commanders will attack an enemy in a different line based on AI. - The above also applies if an enemy in the same line cannot be attacked due to being out of reach. - All commanders return to their previous position at the end of each turn. - As your turn approaches, the "Expand ATK RNG (4-tile rhombus = Giant Featherless Arrow)" effect will be applied to all commanders on the battlefield. ▲ Screenshot of a battle with the enemy.

③ Battle Progress - Battles are turn-based, similar to PvP. - If an ally and enemy commander have the same turn, the unit with higher AGI moves first.
④ End of Battle - Win by eliminating all enemies, lose if all allies are eliminated. - Typically, you must defeat the enemy within a set number of turns. However, there are some battles where the goal is to simply survive that set number of turns. - Win conditions may change every match. ▲ Battle results are shown upon winning each match.
⑤ New Battlefields - 5 battlefields will be added to Officer Battle. - Each unit has a terrain advantage suited for specific battlefields. You can view the terrain advantages under "Commander Info" in the Officer Battle menu.
G. Rewards - You will receive all rewards displayed on the Results screen after losing a battle or clearing all 12 matches. - You must clear at least one match to earn rewards. - After receiving all rewards, you'll be returned to the Officer Battle menu. You will then be able to start a new Officer Battle if you have a voucher.
① Performance Chests - These rewards are based on the highest match conquered in Officer Battle. - Performance Chests range from 1★ Officer's Chests to 12★ Officer's Chests. - A Conqueror's Chest is rewarded upon winning all 12 matches and meeting all seal conditions. - You can discard lower grade Performance Chests to keep higher grade chests. ▲ Tap "Officer Battle" after tapping the Performance Chest icon on the War Map to view your rewards.

② Officer Battle Records Added to My Info - An "Officer Battle" tab has been added to the My Info menu. - After completing an Officer Battle, the number of matches won, seal conditions met, and commanders recruited can be found under "Recent Records." - You can move records to the Archive, storing up to 5 records at once. - Between Recent Records and the Archives, you can store up to 10 records at once. If you exceed 10, the oldest record in Recent Records will be deleted. - You can set your Officer Battle Records to Everyone, Show Alliance Members, or Hide in under "Privacy Settings." ▲ "Officer Battle Records" tab under My Info.

- October's Enemy Leader is Sun Quan : Sun Quan is the son of Sun Jian, one of the chief contributors of the Dong Zhuo Expedition. : Lu Meng and Gan Ning led his army to capture Huan Castle, marshalling 100,000 troops to surround Hefei. : Will Zhang Liao, Li Dian, and Yue Jin be able to overcome such dire odds?
- Sun Quan will choose between two different combat styles: Sun Quan's March, and Sun Quan's Escape. - During Sun Quan's March, he and his units grow stronger as they are given more time to organize. Perhaps this makes them vulnerable to surprise attacks... - During Sun Quan's Escape, he will try to get as far away from you as possible. The Wu commanders will utilize Raking Blow and other tactics to slow you down and aid Sun Quan's retreat. Overcome Sun Quan's meddlesome forces and pursue him to the ends of the earth! - Unlike Yan Baihu, Sun Quan will not fall in battle. Should his HP drop below a certain point, he will be fully restored.
2) Battle - You can assign up to 8 commanders. - This event's Major Commanders are Cao Cao, Xiahou Dun, Zhang Liao, Yue Jin, Li Dian, Man Chong, Yu Jin, Zhang He, Xu Huang, Wen Hui, Lu Su, Zhou Yu, and Zhang Zhao. - When Major Commanders are deployed, or if a condition is met during battle, you'll be rewarded with special effects and events.
