We cannot express how excited the team is and how much we are hoping for a great reception and happy players :)
Fife years have passed from the first idea until the release of Saga of Sins and it was not always an easy journey.
As developers we are thankful for everyone in the team who put their heart and soul into this, for the great cooperation with our publisher Just For Games and last but not least the funding we got from the FFF Bavaria and the BMWK of the German government.
We know that it is never possible to make everyone happy and indie development is a tough job, so in case this one is not resonating with you, please know that we tried our very best with the resources we had.
Please support us
In case you do enjoy Saga of Sins, please support us by writing a positive review or telling your friends about this stained-glass indie game :)

Dev Diary #11: Wrath: The final of the seven deadly sins!
The final of the seven deadly sins: Wrath
So, this is it, the final dev diary before our launch next week! Exciting times :)
Wrath. Was it not Wrath that convinced our avatar Cecil to join the crusade and slay men in the name of his faith before returning to Sinwell? What else could have possessed him to think the deaths of others would be righteous?
Or revenge. In some cultures, revenge is seen as a just cause. But isn’t it merely wrath in disguise?
And don’t we all get angry every now and then, maybe saying things we regret a minute later, once our rage has cooled off?
z
The definition of Wrath
Ira: Wrath is the uncontrolled feeling of anger, rage, and hatred, that often manifests itself in the wish to seek vengeance. Patience cures wrath.
A deadly sin spread across Sinwell
As Wrath is such a “common” sin, it is spread across all sorts of different villagers in Sinwell and it may surprise you who is guilty once you have tracked them down.
The setting for this deadly sin is a deep, gloomy dungeon featuring medieval instruments of torture, lots of climbable walls for the Griffin.
Finally the Taurus was used as design element, as you can see below in some of the concepts that were crafted for the Wrath level by the art team.
Thank you for checking out this final deadly sin’s dev diary and please spread the word! Your team at Bonus Level Entertainment :)
Dev Diary #10: Pride: The sixth of the seven deadly sins
The sixth of the seven deadly sins: Pride
How can Pride be a sin, a deadly one even? Are you not proud of your retro collection, reaching level 100 in your favorite RPG or beating that super hard souls-like boss? Are we gamers especially guilty of Pride? Certainly not! And why should one not be proud of achieving things?
The problem comes when Pride makes you think that you are the superior, better than others, not respecting or even listing to other opinions anymore, when it transforms into arrogance.
The definition of Pride
Superbia: Pride is considered the most demonic of the seven deadly sins, an irrational belief that one is superior to others. Humility heals pride.
Waltz with me
Even if it is historically not 100% correct - but hey, we are inside of people’s minds - the stage for Pride is an opera house gone ballistic, including a nice ¾ Waltz song to roll with.
Mirrors and giant chandeliers play an important role in this one and a peacock is the signature enemy. And have you ever asked yourself, what lies behind the reflections you see in a mirror?
Below are the concepts for the “Ballroom” and the bottomless “Chandelier Attic” two of the three sections we came up with for this deadly sin.
To be honest we really put a lot of effort into these levels and we are certainly proud of how they turned out… proud in a good way, that is ;)
We hope you enjoyed our dev diary. Just one more deadly sin to go! Your team at Bonus Level Entertainment

Dev Diary #9 : Envy : Beware of your desire...
The fifth of the seven deadly sins: Envy
“Does envy not have its uses? If we never sought the good others have, aren't we doomed to misery?”
What do you think? Can Envy actually lead to better results? If you are striving for more but the original motive is a negative one - such as the deadly sins Envy - is your outcome by definition a bad one?
The definition of Envy
Invidia: Envy can be described as a resentful covetousness towards the traits or possessions of someone else, arising from vainglory. Kindness cures envy.
Inside their minds
In Sinwell some of the villagers are amongst the artist guild. Painters and sculptors are all part of the same community, with the skilled but jealous Hieronymus being their leader. Envy has spread across them and so their minds are a mix between an artist’s studio and a tower - to manifest “striving for more” and thus climbing up or down “the ladder”.
In the first Envy level, the according villager can even be seen in the oil painting that is hanging in the back of the level’s wall.
The Feet Demon is also first introduced in this level. Sometimes its little descendants are following him, perfect for Power Dash combos and extra coins…
Speedrun incoming!
Contrary to the first level that goes from top to bottom, the second Envy level needs to be climbed up. But do not worry, we placed many trampolines here and so it became THE Saga of Sins Speedrun level per definition, including lots of Dash Doves to instantly refill your Dash Meter and thus enabling a super-fast playstyle. More on this topic after launch!
Feel free to leave a comment and thank you for your support, Your team at Bonus Level Entertainment :)
Dev Diary #8 : Lust - Happy Valentine's Day ♥
Happy Valentine’s Day!
First of all, thank you to everyone who have tried our demo during Steam Next Fest. We had a blast streaming and answering your questions and we're happy that you liked our demo! The demo is still available if you want to fight and discover our beloved Gluttonny...
Today, we cannot miss to speak about one of our sins because Feb 14th date is dedicated to him... or almost... Lust!
The fourth of the seven deadly sins: Lust
No, we are not being sarcastic, it is Valentine’s Day today! This day is about love… and flowers! Or flowers and love, but either way you put it, they are somehow connected to each other so we decided to cater to that cliché.
The definition of Lust
Lust, Luxuria in old Latin, stands for overly intense longing, an unbridled desire for satisfaction and the impurity of thought. Decency cures lust.
The story of flowers and bees
In order to not get an 18+ rating we went for the charming “flowers and bees” story. However, it was not an easy task to get the art right for bees kissing flowers when both are made of stained glass. We hope you like the result as much as we do.
For the Lust level setting we chose an oversized meadow with occasional beehives and some suggestively shaped objects, also taking a bit of inspiration from the famous painting 'Garden of Lust' by Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516).
What boss could that bee?
Well, no spoilers here ;) But rest assured, this boss does not celebrate Valentine’s Day...
Thank you for checking out our dev diary and take care, Your team at Bonus Level Entertainment :)
