Sail and Sacrifice brings ye into an open world RPG of pirates, natives, and Spaniards! Explore 25 islands with yer crew and decide an end to the war for The Archipelago. We’re so proud of what we’ve achieved, though be aware of performance issues on some machines.
Our team of 2 has been hard at work on many games since then, and have grown so much in the past year. We are proud and excited to introduce the FREE alpha version of our latest project: SHERWOOD EXTREME! A high-speed, casual shooter where you save the kingdom as a hobby and challenge other players in beautiful low-poly environments.
Ahoy me maties! Tales of explosive adventure await those who play the latest update of "Sail and Sacrifice". Gunpowder has now been implemented in a variety of ways including the flintlock pistol, picking up explosive barrels, throwing them, and shooting them. Here's an overview of what we've done in the last patch:

Explosive barrels can now be picked up, kicked around, thrown, and sniped in slow-motion.

Melee Combat 2.0 Patch 1.2 Released!
Patch 1.2 - Melee Combat 2.0
Ahoy landlubbers! Thar be boons in store for those who play the latest update of "Sail and Sacrifice," especially ye sword enthusiasts. Melee Combat 2.0 includes intuitive targeting, building tension through the "Riposte Meter" and executing your foes via a variety of ways. Here's an overview of what we've done since the last patch:
Patch Notes
Added the "gentleman's rule" where NPCs are only allowed to engage in 1 on 1 duels
Added target aiming system with slow motion to better select your enemy
Added the "Riposte" meter, which builds up through defensive combat gameplay and can be spent on heavy attack counters and disarming your opponents
Removed stamina costs from parrying and melee attacks
Added dense fog to underwater
Added a 3D treasure chime sound when the player is near a chest
Reduced the range of fish wildlife to account for underwater fog, increasing density
Redistributed probabilities of small fish versus larger ones
Made horizontal turning rate slower when facing an NPC
Adjusted minimum and maximum viewing angles on the player character camera
Many bug fixes, frame-rate and loading time improvements

Character Customization Patch 1.1 Released!
Patch 1.1 - Character Customization
Ahoy pirates, Kalinago natives and Spaniards! We've been hard at work fixing bugs, implementing new features and polishing the overall quality of Sail and Sacrifice in our latest patch 1.1. Your feedback has been immensely valuable as we continue to grow and improve our game. Here's a sneak peak at our most requested feature - Character Customization:
Patch Notes
Added male and female character customization
Added manual save to pause menu
Added a repair option to “Improve my ship” menu
Ship health bar now shows by repair ship option in the "Improve my ship" menu
Added music volume control
Added neck rotation based on camera angle to the player
Added crew menu scrolling with the left joystick
Ships now spawn at least one loot chest
Allies should no longer be able to attack surrendered enemies
Fixed weapon trading and exchanging with NPCs
Boost on boats no longer requires forward (W or left joystick) to be held
Chests now only give wood or cotton as resources
Fixed game saving/loading
Fixed control remapping from WASD
Crew menu now populates correctly
Fixed many bugs with level design and NPCs

Official Release Patch 1.0
Two and a half years into development, we are finally ready to transition Sail and Sacrifice from Early Access to Release!
Among the numerous changes include a major revamp to the prologue and naval combat system and fixes for many sources of crashes and gameplay issues. We plan to continue development of Sail and Sacrifice with weekly patches based on your feedback. Try out the latest release build and see where it takes you!

Early Access Patch 6
We just changed the starting gameplay to a playable stormy naval battle! Press new game and experience Sail and Sacrifice with a new start.
The Archipelago is now rich with wildlife, from penguins and cassowaries to frogs and spiders, many of which you can interact with.
Our new crew management system allows you to change wages to choose your first mate and get new crew titles. Steal gold from your crew but risk them shunning you.
Other changes include pirate shanties while sailing, female characters with female names and voices, improved boat cameras and icons, loading screens, and hundreds more gameplay bugfixes.

This patch features our BEST performance improvement yet! If this version doesn't run on your computer, please let us know.
-Naval boarding system: reel in enemy ships with your harpoon gun, hop on board, and kill the enemy captain to steal the ship, its loot, and new crew members!
