Fixed issues with video settings not persisting or saving
Fixed wrong animal silhouette sometimes being shown on loading screen
Increased size of mouth hitbox as subadult Dakotaraptor to aid in RPR
Fixed input no longer being accepted occasionally after aging up
Fixed issue with AI sometimes getting stuck at water’s edge, unable to drink

Triceratops Update
Hey everyone!
We’re pleased to announce that the Triceratops update is now available! This patch introduces numerous new systems, changes, and optimizations alongside the playable Triceratops, which we will appreciate feedback on. While it took longer than we wanted to release, we deeply appreciate your patience and support, and don’t anticipate future playables facing similar hurdles as the ones we faced with the Triceratops.
If you haven't joined yet, we have a Discord community where you can talk to other fans and team members. We also occasionally post funny screenshots of horrifying bugs.
NOTE: Save files from previous versions of the game will no longer work with this update, although they remain on your computer. Your control settings will also be reset to default, and may need to be remapped.

CHANGED:
Updated vegetation rendering system
All vegetation and trees replaced with improved assets
All reasonably sized plants now edible by player and AI

Animals now have more complete physical collider coverage on bodies
Optimized physics/collider setup to reduce CPU usage
Movement processing logic for all dinosaurs and some non-dinosaurs updated

Animals within same social group can no longer damage each other
Daytime exploration music now fully dynamic and randomized

Creating a new save file while in game now saves a into a separate file
Scent activation changed from button tap to button hold
Scent is now active as long as the button is held
Removed old plants and Bone Butte diorama from encyclopedia
Dakotaraptor toe hitboxes sized up greatly, making RPR much easier to trigger
All previous tooltips remade with new style
Food chunks now positioned differently with regard to animal mouths
Regenerated shoreline data with new parameters
Bite attack activation made more immediate after input
Animal look IK targets now move more naturally based on angle and look speed of animal
Aim mode logic updated to reduce visual glitches and imprecision with Triceratops
AI in groups will now try to fill up needs completely when offered opportunity
Several abilities now react to ButtonUp instead of ButtonDown input, ex. attacks
Body hit sound effects setup and logic
Food sources refactored and optimized
Sex-dependent skin system refactored to account for aging
Reduced navgrid cell size
AI animals can now advance growth stage alongside player
Save files UI changed to aid readability
Thirst depletion rate reduced
Aggression / skittishness of several dinosaur species changed
Initial threat calculation by AI now takes relative speed into account
Reduced radius of animal scent highlights by 70%
Aim mode no longer accessible during RPR
Food held in mouths now positioned closer to center of mouth
Anatosaurus tail flee behavior only used at much closer distance from target
Didelphodon perception increased
Altered spawn rates of several dinosaurs
Made crocs more skittish, less vengeful
Water shake and all idle variant animations now allow for simultaneous movement
Vegetation now disappears (and eventually reappears) when depleted
Distant AI should no longer spawn in view of camera
Player Dakotaraptor can now spawn with either one or two parents
FIXED:
Apex Path issue where steep slopes weren’t correctly marked as unwalkable
Apex Path issue where AI disposed of current paths while waiting for new one
Occasional crashes stemming from tree climbing
Multiple sources of incorrect behavior with pathfinding request logic
Player getting stuck when thrown off of RPR in water
Dakotaraptor hatchlings no longer look at ground endlessly when with group
Sounds can no longer persist from the game to the main menu
Player should no longer get stuck in falling’ state when attempting RPR on certain animals
Incorrect sizing and stretching of food chunks when eating
Bug where coroutine-based abilities wouldn’t execute
Player and dinosaur AI can no longer fall below terrain
Dinosaur AI will try to reposition if trying to eat from inaccessible angle
Player getting stuck going in and out of RPR state with the same animal
Multiple fixes to menu UI interactions
Eating animation transitions for Triceratops and Ornithomimus
Terrain-conforming animals will no longer load with incorrect rotations
T. rex look IK no longer orients neck in impossible ways
Entering aim mode just before death no longer prevents input
Ragdolls in water no longer spin or float off indefinitely
Animals should no longer get stuck with food in their mouths
Champsosaurus no longer get stuck swimming on land
Basilemys collider size
Shoreline sounds behaving inconsistently around freshwater/saltwater border
Dakotaraptor visual offsets when on trees improved
Player should no longer spawn in air sometimes
