Advanced ghost system, training mode, an optional hud timer and dash options are included in this patch.
Besides, we also have a few minor bug fixes and changes included in the patch.
Major Changes
The menu got a major facelift to be able to display the upcoming features for Schacht
Advanced ghost system is now at your disposal, with which you will be able to choose whose ghosts run alongside you
Training mode got added to the game, to give you the possibility to hone your skills
You can enable a timer in the settings, which will be displayed at the top of your screen and show you the delta time to the player one rank above you at each checkpoint
You can now choose if the dash should go in the direction of the camera angle or in the direction where the character looks
Minor Changes
New visual style to the force fields
Look and level flow of the start segment of procedural levels got reworked
Look of the end segment of procedural levels for reworked
Fixed the collision box of the slides to prevent most of the character glitches at the edges of the slide
The music now adapts faster to the level flow
Adjusted several LODs
Some fixes to the random path generator
Added new meteors as decoration
As always, reworked existing and created many new segments for the procedural level generator
Please remember that the highscore lists will be reset once the patch is live.
Currently known bugs and issues
Keybindings are currently not editable
There are sound issues if you alt tab the game
If you dash on steep rotating platform at rare occasions you might die
Dashing on/alongside walls stops the dash immediately
Currently you have to navigate back to the menu, if you want to play a new level after finishing the current one
Selected seed in menu for training mode does not match with in-game seed
Minor changes to the Road Map
Hello everyone
As mentioned in the Early Access description we might have the need to change the road map now and then.
We work hard to keep the changes to the Road Map as minimum as possible, but for the upcoming Content Patch 2 we must make such a minor change.
We are postponing the Cup Challenge Mode. Our goal is to release it in Content Patch 3.
However, the Training Mode will be available to you with the release of Content Patch 2 on November 10!
Also we are postponing all patches and the release date by one day.
This means, that all patches will be on a friday.
Content Patch 1 (0.2.0) Released
Hi all!
We are happy to announce that today we are releasing our first content patch.
Currently we are on track with our road map and can present you our first major changes to Schacht.
Checkpoints, controllable Dash and the Ghosts.
Besides, we also have a few minor bug fixes and changes included in the patch.
Major Changes
Added visible checkpoints in the form of new segments into the procedural levels.
To finish the level, the player now has to go through all the checkpoints.
When passing a checkpoint, the next part of the level will appear infront of the player.
The Dash is now slower in speed and takes longer.
The Dash is now controllable.
If you tap the button, you will dash a short distance. If you hold the button you will dash the maximum lenght. Releasing the button earlier will stop the Dash, giving the player additional control.
Added a Ghost system. Now the player can see the walkthrough of other players and his friends, if there are any highscores present on the level.
Used Ghosts:
1st rank in the highscore list, rank above the players current highscore called challenger (if the player has no highscore the last rank will be taken as the challenger), steam friends, the players own highscore
Minor Changes
Changed the skybox to not show any planets and only one sun.
Deleted the credits at the end of tutorial level 4.
Fixed a problem where meteors spawned inside segments.
Fixed the spawnpoint on the start segement. The character won't look 90 degrees to the right when respawning anymore.
Rotated the disco ball to properly fit the character.
Dashing on tilted platforms will no longer stop the Dash.
More segments for the procedural levels.
Reworked the next level feature to not load a random level but increment the seed number by one to create a repeatable sequence of levels.
Fixed some Fatal Error crashes during loading screens.
Please remember that the highscore lists will be reset once the patch goes live.
