Info : Invocations - Invocations are permanent upgrades bought using blood crystals in Infestation that persists even after you die. Trial Overhaul - the new trial now has two objectives, it will choose randomly upon walking towards the orb and once completed you will be able to choose between 3 rewards.

Hello there! i think this is the longest interval of no updates to date now
I did just play games for 10 days straight without working on my game after the 0.9.0. update 💀
But no worries the next update is nearing completion and it will be called "Trial Of The Damned"
Here's the stuff i've got done

Everything else except Invocations is done, Invocations are the last thing that needs to be completed for this update and i'm actively working on it, here's how it looks like

Hello! i want to talk about the history of S.E.C.U. for a bit with you guys

I got into game development because of a video that was recommended to me, it was a Quixel video on UE4 Photorealism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fC20NWhx4s Something just ticked in me, knowing that i can make something like that using unreal engine made me want to try it out, so i did download it and i started experimenting with some stuff
Around this time i also met John, a source filmmaker animator that has a lot of cool projects! i guess you can say this was my first attempt at a project https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmlifKmoPtA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bN4eQLv4Vw looking back at these is quite funny, i had absolutely no idea what i was doing i was going for a battlefield/ravenfield type game but making ai that shoots back prooves quite complicated, so i stopped for a few months and i wanted to make a zombie shooter instead which was how S.E.C.U. came to be, i imagined it to be mw19 but with zombies instead

After some time i continued with S.E.C.U. again and started with a framework this time, and i launched an itch.io demo on July 7 2021, about one and a half year ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nIqkW0VLS0
You can still download this demo now, while it was decent it is very bad compared to the current steam version of S.E.C.U.
There was no perks, very small and claustrophobic maps, no bosses, no cards or player progression and customization and etc

After this itch.io demo you could say i had a burnout, didn't work on it for about a year within that time i actually started a new project called BF:RI short for Burkina Faso : Radical Insurgency
it was an open world far cry 2 like game set in the real country Burkina Faso and had factions like Isis, Taliban and more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H05YaI8oa30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XNCJ9EA6Ew i was making good progress on it but i guess i had another burnout lol, there was a lot more systems and stuff to be worked on for it to be finished compared to S.E.C.U. so i think for a few months i didn't work on anything, then i figure why not finish S.E.C.U. instead since i can actually finish it as it is a smaller project and i really wanted to finish a project at that time
and that is where the now current S.E.C.U. comes in started to work on it again and overhauled a lot of things and released a demo on August 11 2022 which was around 6 months ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5zgeNDSfWY
Around this time i met Indigo_Tail, i guess you can say he is an artist Indigo is responsible for a lot of the icon/hud elements in game, Like the weapon cards, weapon icons, perk icons and more! You know at first my plan was just to make S.E.C.U. a horde mode shooter and be done with it fast, though around the development for the early access release i figured why not just go all out with it and take my time with it as i really have no time limit and instead make the game i want,
After infestation is finished i will still not be finished with S.E.C.U. as i will be making another mode.
