The limited edition comes in a specially designed outer box which contains the game, the book, the soundtrack on CD, and an archive of various art from the Senko series on DVD. There's a sample of the soundtrack available if you can't wait to hear Yasuhisa Watanabe's always striking Senko soundscape.

Lobby functionality added Accessed via Player or Ranked matches: start to look for an opponent, then use X button to open a lobby and choose an opponent. The icon next to the player name shows their connection speed.
Ability select added for Valken and Virtual On DLC This works the same as with other characters, but will not change the operator.
Extensive balance changes Details in a separate post coming later. Details here!
Added ability to change keyboard controls This is offered via an .ini file found in the installation directory. Open it with a text editor, change the controls to suit you then save the file before running the game. NB: we are unable to support this function, so please use as is.

Virtual On and Valken join the fray!
You read it right, today marks the release of two new DLC rounders for Senko no Ronde 2.
Virtual On
First up, we have Temjin and Fei-Yen from Sega's Virtual On.
A speedy rounder, or Virtuaroid, Temjin is speedy and highly manouverable combining a beam sword for melee and a beam rifle for ranged attacks. Temjin's B.O.S.S. Mode is unique too; Fei-Yen flys in to rain heart-shaped destruction on your opponent.
Then we have Jake Brain piloting the Valken from Assault Suits Valken (or Cybernator outside of Japan). As its name suggests, the ASS-117A is a bulky, heavily armed fighting machine, featuring all the attacks you remember from the 1992 original and one you won't: Valken's B.O.S.S. Mode!
11/07 Update: Operator Select & New DLC (Ver 1.17110801)
Today's update has two major features: the first being the much requested operator select feature and the second the addition of two new rounders available via DLC.
