Season 2 is Almost Here - Join the Fight!
There is one week left in the Season 2 Kickstarter campaign, and success is within sight. The campaign is over $76,000 funded toward the $80,000 goal - that’s 95% and climbing!
Season 2 will include tons more content to expand the game you already know and love. There are three mega-expansions (Vengeance, Villains of the Multiverse, and OblivAeon) along with several mini-expansions. It includes 16 new heroes, 16 new villains, 9 new environments, and two brand new game modes.
If you have been waiting to see how the campaign is going before pledging, now is the time to get on board with over 2,190 other Sentinels and help make Season 2 a reality. With just 150 new Season 2 pledges we’ll reach the funding goal, and start working toward stretch goals.
Over the last couple weeks we have announced several exciting updates that may pique your interest.
Funding Bonuses for Every Backer
When we reach our goal, every backer (no matter what reward level) will receive in addition to their selected reward:
Your name in the credits of the game
A free copy of the Season 2: Volume 1 soundtrack ($8.99 value)

Core Game Environment Wallpaper pack

Stretch Goals
The first few stretch goals have been announced, including bonuses that all backers will receive when we get to them. They include:
$95k - Season 2 Preview Pack will be released this summer, featuring Setback, Chokepoint, and the Temple of Zhu Long
$110k - Villain Challenge Modes will be added to the game
More to come!
Add-Ons
You can add-on several items to your pledge, including extra Steam keys for Season Pass 2, Steam keys for the Core Game and Season Pass 1, soundtracks, and more. Extra Steam keys make great gifts and help us reach the funding goal and stretch goals!
Digital Foil Collector’s Packs
Also available as add-ons are Steam keys for the Hero and Villain digital foil packs. These packs will include alternate artwork for every hero and villain character card in the game.
Why back the Kickstarter instead of waiting?
Season Pass 2 is only guaranteed to exist at all if the Kickstarter campaign succeeds. We need your help to make sure it can be built! Backing the Kickstarter gets you the same Steam key for Season Pass 2 you could get later, but this way your money also counts toward stretch goals.
Furthermore, each backer gets some bonus content when we fund, and stretch goals will also include bonus content only for backers. The more you help, the more you (and everyone else) will get! Just like heroes fighting for freedom, this is a team effort!
If you’re curious about why we’re using Kickstarter to fund the development of Season 2, check out our update that dives into the details of the costs of game development.

Thanks for reading and we appreciate your support. The Multiverse needs you!
What's New in Version 1.8.3 - More Bug Fixes!
An update is now available that fixes several bugs reported by the community. We appreciate your help so that we can make Sentinels the best that it can be!
Another way to help is to pledge your support for Season 2. The Kickstarter campaign is ongoing right now, so if you love Sentinels, please pledge and help make sure Season 2 gets made!
Using the second power on Localized Hurricane now requires an additional click. No more accidental destructions!
Added a new gameplay option: “Automatically choose order of multiple optional redirects.” This has been the default behavior for a while, but you may want to turn it off while hunting for the Redirection Misdirection achievement.
The “Automatically draw cards when it is safe to do so” now also automatically chooses the order of drawing for cards like Fleet of Foot.
Fixed a problem where multiple activations of Next Evolution would not work in some situations.
You can now see the destroyed Construct card when Sustained Influence triggers.
Fixed some problem interactions with The Living Weapon and The Seeker title cards.
Unflagging Animation no longer prevents you from drawing an extra card on your turn.
Restored some messages that used to be shown in multiplayer when other players play cards next to cards.
Flesh of the Sun God no longer protects Heroic Infinitor, since he’s not a hero character card.
Fixed a few more little bugs here and there.
What's New in Version 1.8.2 - Season 2 Preview and Bug Fixes
We've posted a small update to Sentinels that includes a new screen with a preview of what we're planning for Season 2. The Kickstarter campaign is ongoing right now, so if you love Sentinels, please pledge and help make sure Season 2 gets made!
Fixed a problem where the Title Deck would not be listed correctly for “select a deck” decisions.
Heroic Infinitor can now be unlocked in multiplayer games.
Fixed some problems with keyboard shortcuts in the card selection screen.
The Reassign Heroes feature will no longer make you unable to get back into chat.
We're hard at work on Mini-Pack 3, as well as more bug fixes for another update soon. Thanks for playing!
Sentinels Season 2 Kickstarter now live!
With the release of Wrath of the Cosmos last week, we are just one Mini-Pack away from the end of Season 1. That means it’s time to turn our attention to Season 2, and ALL the remaining content for Sentinels of the Multiverse, but we need your help!
Starting today, April 18th at 11 am Eastern, and continuing until May 13th, we are raising money for Season 2 via Kickstarter. Visit the Kickstarter Page now to pledge your support and make Season 2 a reality.
What you can expect in Season 2
Vengeance - The Vengeful Five, lead by Baron Blade have joined forces to battle our heroes team vs team! Also including 5 Heroes and 2 Environments, this is the first Mega-Expansion in Season 2.
Villains of the Multiverse - The second Mega-Expansion sees 10 more join the ranks of the villainous to give our heroes a real run for their money! When combined with the Vengeful Five, these 15 villains create almost 400,000 unique villain teams to defeat.
Mini-Pack 4 - Including Stuntman, Benchmark, the Celestial Tribunal and Chokepoint, this mini-pack rounds out the standalone mini-expansions for the tabletop.
Void Guard (Mini-Pack 5) - Previously known as the Southwest Sentinels, the power of the OblivAeon shards has made each team member a hero in their own right.
OblivAeon - The end of Multiverse as we know it… Unless you can figure out how to stop it!
We’re kickstarting all of the above, but we’ve also got some great features planned if we can reach our goal and keep going. Check back on the campaign often between now and May 13th.
With every major content release, our players find interesting things that slipped past our internal testing, and even our intrepid beta testers. Thanks to your reports, we're able to get the problems fixed up!
Advanced Infinitor will no longer get into an “Infinitor loop” if he cannot play cards!
We’ve prevented Bloogo from tearing a hole in the fabric of space-time when he moved next to a card that was next to him.
Abject Refugees no longer have the cosmic ability to redirect damage ignoring all of your defenses.
Fixed a few more little bugs here and there.
Wrath of the Cosmos Available Now, Season 2 Kickstarter Coming Monday!
It is the Day of the Bloodsworn and Wrath of the Cosmos is now making its way through the tubes of the Internet. Fight for glory in the Bloodsworn Colosseum, visit the Enclave of the Endlings, and stave off the herald of Oblivaeon, but don’t get caught in the middle of a civil war in Dok’Thorath Capital!

Wrath of the Cosmos is available for $4.99 (USD) or as part of Season Pass 1 for $19.99 (USD). Remember, in addition to the 8 new decks, there is also the Heroic Infinitor Villain Variant to be discovered. The first person to post a screenshot to our Facebook page or tweet a screenshot at @handelabra of their successful unlocking of Heroic Infinitor will earn a place in the Sentinels Hall of Fame! To keep things fair, we’ll make Heroic Infinitor available for unlocking once all platforms have the update available.
If you already own Season Pass 1, you will get access to the new decks automatically. Your Steam client should automatically download and install the new content when you press Play. You may need to quit and restart your Steam client for it to see the update.
The Handelabra team will be out there playing multiplayer as much as possible over the next few days, so we hope to see you out in the Multiverse. (You may even earn an achievement for playing with us.)
And don’t forget, Sentinels of the Multiverse: The Video Game is now just $9.99 on Steam ($39.99 for a 5 pack) so it’s more affordable than ever to outfit an entire team to save the Multiverse!
Season 2 is coming to Kickstarter!
As we teased on #SentinelsLive last night, the countdown at Sentinels Digital is ticking off the seconds until Season 2 will be live on Kickstarter. The campaign will launch Monday, April 18th at 11:00 am Eastern time. There will be lots more information about Season 2 once the Kickstarter is live. There has been some speculation, and we can now confirm that the Season 2 will cover ALL remaining expansions for Sentinels of the Multiverse:
Vengeance
Villains of the Multiverse
OblivAeon
Void Guard
All remaining Mini-Expansions
Join us for a special episode of #SentinelsLive on Twitch, kicking off at 10:45 am Eastern on the 18th, to coincide with the launch of the Kickstarter! We’ll be streaming for at least an hour, and will be ready to answer any questions you might have about Season 2.
Be sure to tell all your friends about the Kickstarter and pledge on Monday if you can! We are excited to bring Season 2 to you and we’ll need your help to make the campaign a success.
What about Mini-Pack 3?
We’re happy to say that Mini-Pack 3 is well underway. In fact, it’s not completely outside the realm of possibility that it will be completed before the Kickstarter wraps up on May 13th - but as always, that’s not a release date, just a goal. Stay tuned throughout the next month for more info on Mini-Pack 3, including exclusive previews on #SentinelsLive.

This update has even more:
You can now organize the decks in the New Game screen to group alphabetically or by expansion pack, and hide specific expansions.
Cards next to one another can be viewed in the full size card popup. This will help out when you have cards next to cards next to cards!
Freedom Six variants now have story information in the Multiverse section.
Fixed problems where cards could get laid out improperly (pushed off-screen, incorrect spacing between cards, etc).
Many more bug fixes and improvements have been made.
Wrath of the Cosmos is coming April 13th!
It’s time to take the battle into space with the 4th and final full expansion in Season 1: Wrath of the Cosmos. As declared by Kaargra Warfang herself, this coming Wednesday, April 13th is “The Day of the Bloodsworn” and she is drafting all of you Sentinels to come and fight for her amusement! Will you be able to hold off her gladiators and win the favor of the crowd?
http://store.steampowered.com/app/451710
Other challenges await you in this expansion including a tale of brothers torn apart by a sinister cosmic power, and the first inklings of a darker evil on the horizon. Progeny arrives as the herald of something called “OblivAeon,” though what that might be, we’re not exactly sure. Like the other full expansions, Wrath of the Cosmos includes 8 full decks, listed below:
Heroes
Captain Cosmic Hugh Lowsley and his brother Nigel were watching the sky one night when a strange metorite crashed nearby. They found a glowing crystal, which assaulted the brothers with energy, knocking them unconscious. When Hugh came to, his brother had disappeared, but he had gained powers of energy manipulation! As Captain Cosmic, Hugh fights alongside the heroes of the Multiverse, but he is constantly searching for his lost brother.
Sky-Scraper Portja Kir-Pro was a Thorathian freedom fighter with size-changing powers. However, everything changed when the Bloodsworn Colosseum manifested on Dok’Thorath and she was taken hostage. Now, having made her escape with the heroes of Earth, Portja fights as Sky-Scraper: the Proportionist! She wields both her power to change her size and mass, as well as her knowledge of subterfuge and skill with her “links”, which she uses to control and subdue her opponents.
Villains
Kaargra Warfang The Bloodsworn Colosseum moves from place to place, seemingly at random. Wherever it lands, Kaargra Warfang forces the local inhabitants to fight as gladiators, vying for the favor of the crowd. The Bloodsworn Colosseum could appear anywhere, and any nearby heroes will be forced to fight for survival!
Infinitor The events that led to Hugh Lowsley gaining powers were less kind to his brother Nigel. After encountering the crystal, Nigel awoke to madness. In a blind panic, he drew on unknown powers and flew out into space, pulsing a sickly green. Nigel drifted among the stars, only existing to listen. At first, he heard only screams. Then, those screams turned to horrifying whispers, until Nigel was no more. All that remained was Infinitor, the apotheosis of infinite madness.
Progeny From far beyond our galaxy came a spark of creation. It arced through space and drove into the heart of our planet. As cosmic events transpired, that spark was called to wake. Progeny was born, surging up through the crust of the earth. It knew its two directives. Its first command: destroy. Its second command was less simple, but even more important: it must prepare for the arrival of its progenitor. Progeny is the harbinger of the downfall of the human race, and with it, the Multiverse itself.
Deadline Tarogath watched the end of his people hundreds of years ago, and now lives in the Enclave of the Endlings as the last of his kind. Recently, he observed the beginning of another extinction event -- on the planet Earth! He traveled there to try to slow, if not stop entirely the cosmic events which threatened their very existence. With a heavy heart, Tarogath took the mantle of Deadline and sought to leave a scar from which humanity may never fully recover…
Environments
The Enclave of the Endlings When the only other remaining member of her race finally died, Jansa Vi Dero was truly alone. Her race, the Varusiods, were phenomenally long-lived people, but they were all beyond the age of reproduction. It was only a matter of time. But that was centuries ago. Now, Jansa Vi Dero has built a new society for herself. In the Enclave of the Endlings, any races whose light is beginning to flicker are preserved in the existence of their final representative. Some villainous minds have thought to take advantage of the power of the Endlings...
Dok’Thorath Capital After the destruction of the Thorathian Conquering Fleet and the disappearance of Grand Warlord Voss, the Thorathian homeworld of Dok’Thorath was left in a state of turmoil. The powerful Thorathian Military was now leaderless, and the outnumbered and outgunned Dok’Thorath Freedom Fighters were now more organized than their oppressors. Now, the heroes of Earth find themselves on this distant planet, pursuing a deadly foe to stop their dastardly plot...
A Villanous Variant
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a new variant villain in Sentinels of the Multiverse. Infinitor makes his debut in Wrath of the Cosmos, and comes with a variant to unlock: Heroic Infinitor! Can you help Nigel fight back against the whispers of OblivAeon and stand alongside his brother Hugh (a.k.a. Captain Cosmic) in the ranks of the heroic?
The variant hunt will begin when the update is available on all platforms. Remember, the first person to contact us on Facebook or Twitter with a screenshot showing their successful unlocking of a Variant earns a spot in the Hall of Fame.
Stay Organized
The version 1.8 update to Sentinels will also include a couple of handy new features. You can now organize the decks in the New Game screen to group alphabetically or by expansion pack, and hide specific expansions. If you want to randomize a game with exclusively new content, you’ll like this feature!
You may have already noticed since Shattered Timelines and Chrono-Ranger that the game interface could get a little nutty with many cards next to one another. This problem could get even worse with Captain Cosmic and Sky-Scraper, who are all about playing cards next to cards (next to cards, next to cards, next to…). Version 1.8 has a new layout system to make sure you won’t miss anything, and a new button in the full size card popup to navigate “next to” cards and see exactly what is next to what.
Season Pass holders:
If you already own Season Pass 1, you will get access to the new decks automatically. Your Steam client should automatically download and install the new content when you press Play. You may need to quit and restart your Steam client for it to see the update.
Price Drop!
Oh and by the way, starting today, Sentinels of the Multiverse is just $9.99 (USD) on Steam! That means the game is now the same price across all platforms. The Steam 5-pack price also reflects this change so it will now be just $39.99 (USD) to outfit an entire team to take on the Multiverse!
