Updated:
Engine updated to v208.
Updated Node-Webkit 0.10.5 to NW.js 0.12
As you can see it's the exact same version as the beta version, as no new bug reports came in. The only thing that changed is, that the Linux version has been updated now as well. The old 1.9.1 branch is still available for you if you want to activate the achievements you might have unlocked, it is accessible the same way as the beta branch.
The Steam overlay is still usable luckily it is now just the achievements that are temporarily deactivated in 1.9.2. As a little note we still try to work a little bit on the mac version, but since we can't test it ourselves we are not sure when or how it will be released.
// The update on 02.07.2015 updates Engine to v209 and removes F2B renderer as it caused crashes on some systems.
The beta client update
This will probably be the only time we will report on an beta client update as an announcement, but we just wanted to share som important news. The beta client has made what it was supposed to do; Test out experimental fixes that actually worked as users reported the last game-breaking bug to be fixed. From here on out the route is pretty much straight forward again.
Sadly we have to do a compromise as this fix forces us to update NW.js which breaks Greenworks (Achievements/Overlay) support. We decided as we are pretty sure Greenworks will be fixed at some point, that in the next stable update this month (If the last beta client update goes smooth) we will update NW.js so the Overlay and Achievements will not be available normally. However we will upload a 1.9.2 version with Overlay and Achievement support as an extra branch for those that wants Achievements / Overlay. Wo do it like this because we feel like a working game is more worth than a partially working game with achievements, that's why we will roll this fix (Which only affects a portion of people as only some experienced that bug) out for all SoW players as a Stable update.
As a sneak preview we include the pre-patch notes for 1.9.2 here:
1.9.1 -> 1.9.2
Changed:
Changed render from Back-to-Front render to Front-to-Back render.
Buttons are now disabled when paused to prevent a Money bug abuse.
Fix:
Bullet collision wasn't registered properly at fast-forward.
Loading Screen stuck/crash is fixed.
Updated:
Engine updated to v208.
Updated Node-Webkit 0.10.5 to NW.js 0.12
For more information/if you want to take part on the discussion about the beta client please visit the SoW forums: http://steamcommunity.com/app/340220/discussions/0/530645446315512792/
Also as an extra note we want to announce a price change to SoW.
Within a few days the price will change to 4.99€ ($4.99). If you have any feedback regarding that matter, feel free to comment ;)
Beta Client (Loading Screen Fix)
As we push forward and want to keep delivering updates to continually fix the problems people are experiencing, we are launching a beta client.
We want to try to get more feedback based on that and want to be able to beta test our upcoming patches to decrease bugs in the Stable builds.
In the current beta we want to test NW.JS 0.12 - to see how it affects performance and some other known bugs, we had to disable achievements and Steam features for it to work. The beta is only available on Windows.
How to access the beta build?
1. Right click on "Shadows of War" in your Steam Library
2. Select "Properties"
3. Select the "Beta" tab
4. Select the "beta" in the dropdown and close the window.
We look forward to your feedback based on this initiative.
//Edit: As it looks like this Beta does what it meant to do - it fixes the Loading Screen freeze/crash bug.
Update 1.9.1
This patch took a bit longer to complete due to its size of changes.
It features big changes that may not look like much in the beginning but change alot in the end. The whole Physics engine used has been switched out with another, and a new storage method for stats and campaign progress is used. Sadly this has the effect that previous saved stats and progress are not compatible. We also decided to make use of a new way of labelling patch number, the second value (in this case 9) represents the months since SoW launched. and the third value (in this case 1) represents the patch number of this month. This means that the next patch this month would be labelled 1.9.2 and next month would be 1.10.
Also a bug that made the game freeze in loading screen should be fixed, but since we couldn't reproduce it properly and we only suspect it to be fixed we didn't include it in the patch notes, please report whether it is fixed or not. Now for the part that you all waited for, the patch notes:

Updated:

Update 1.8.4
As some of you haveve seen there has been quite a few updates to SoW.
They were WiP builds that's why they gave an error when trying to launch them.
However, now the correct update 1.8.4 is out, just quickly changing a bit and improving the Physics engine. If this patch fixes what it should, it will take a bit before the next patch comes out, that however should improve the "laggy" scrolling and some other things people may have problems with, as the next update will update NodeWebkit 0.11.6 to NW.js 0.12.0
It's going to be a major maintenance update.
1.8.3 -> 1.8.4
Fix:
Flickering when starting a battle.
Updated:
Engine Updated to v197.
//Edit:
The 24mb update on the 19.02 was a rollback of the NodeWebkit version to 10.5
The update on the 20.02 was a rollback of the Physics engine to prevent crashes.
