This patch features some minor bug fixes that were affecting the latest version of the game, in addition to one new feature that should make accessing menus much easier.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where pressing 'e' in the last room of the game would play the memory instead of ending the game when all of the pieces of the beacon were collected.
Fixed a bug where double jumping off of a wall would cause the player to switch between falling and double jumping animations rapidly.
Fixed a bug where jumping between two levels quickly would cause the player to become stuck in an invisible wall.
Feature Changes
When escape is pressed, it will no longer exit to the main menu automatically but will instead bring up a menu where you can choose from (1) Objectives, (2) Tutorial, or (3) Exiting to the Main Menu.
Removed Herobrine.

Bug Fixes
Vines can now be climbed by using the 'w' key on the keyboard.
Double jumping off of ledges should be easier now. This has only been partially resolved; work will continue on this issue.
Fixed a bug where switching to fullscreen when selecting a different resolution would cause the menu to appear zoomed in.
Fixed a bug where invisible walls could be created after an earthquake.
Fixed a bug where memory particles would randomly jump to the top-left corner of the screen.
Feature Changes
All floating text is now normally colored when below 20 fireflies to improve legibility.
Memories are now activated using the 'e' key or button 4 on the controller instead of automatically.
Vines no longer require you to press the left or right arrow keys to stop sliding down them. Instead, by default not pressing any keys will stop you from sliding and pressing either the left or right arrow key will cause you to slide down.

Fixed a bug where one of the vertical tunnels into the Deep Below would cause you to become stuck.
Fixed a bug where activating multiple obelisks would create text that would never disappear.
Fixed a bug where deleting your save slot and starting a new game would start you in an empty room.
Fixed a bug where jumping upwards vertically on a slanted platform could let you jump through ceiling walls.
Feature Changes
Added 5 new rooms to the Deep Below to coincide with a new obelisk.

Hello everyone!
This is a large patch, featuring a lot of new content and the beginnings of an even greater puzzle yet to come. Without further ado, here's what's changed in this patch:
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where objective text could appear in a different language than the one selected.
Fixed a bug where particles, lights, and fog were unchecked by default.
Fixed a bug where using the portal in the Deep Below would abruptly transition the level.
Fixed a bug where double jumps could be triggered by accident when there was only one layer of cave wall below the player.
Fixed a bug where memory particles could fail to appear when the player was below 25 fireflies.
Fixed a bug where the player would jump without player input when falling off of a ramp into another level.
Fixed a rare bug where information text wouldn't disappear from the screen.
Feature Changes
Firefly release effect has been improved.
Aftershocks have been added which will occur randomly and shake the caverns.
Vine walls have been added to various regions of the game. Press up while grabbing onto them to climb the vines!
Several old levels have been updated to improve design.
The ring around the game icon has been cleaned up.
Added information text when colliding with runes.
Rune Obelisks have been added to certain caverns in the world. These will be part of something larger that's currently being designed.

Patch Notes - 1/14/2017
Hello everyone!
There was going to be a bit more in this patch, but I discovered a bug that breaks some of the new content; it'll be released once I've fixed that issue. That's all yet to come, however. Here's what's been changed:
Bugs
Fixed a rare memory bug where dynamic lighting could cause a crash.
Fixed a bug where double jumping on a ramp could cause you to end up stuck below the ramp when returning.
Features
Cutscenes are now based on the video playback timer not the game timer. This should allow the cutscenes to work properly on slower PCs.
Smoke effects have been added for walking and colliding with the ground after a double jump.
Area titles are no longer inverted if fireflies are below 15 to improve legibility.
Added some previously missing translations.
Patch Notes - 1/8/2017
Hello everyone!
This is a large feature patch focused around adding in additional languages to the game; now you'll be able to play in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and German. Some of the translations will likely be imperfect, so submit your corrections via the Shadows Subreddit!
Also, there was a large bug fix in this patch: The portal will now properly teleport you to the room right before the jump down to the Deep Below.

Hello everyone! These are the first patch notes of the new year -- one of many updates yet to come. In addition to some changes, I'll also be going over some plans for upcoming features!
To start, here's what's in this patch:
Bug Fixes
Cutscene text will now fade out with the video of the cutscene.
Feature Changes
The Deep Below and Stygian Caves when becoming darker will now dim relative to the number of fireflies you have, rather than at a fixed value.
Some of the information text that appears has been revised for clarity.
I'd also like to give a sneak peek into part of what's planned for the next couple of months:
More cavern areas, including expanded rooms and entirely new regions.
New puzzles, including new types of runes and more uses for them.
Graphical updates which will distinguish the areas by plants and other details.
Multiple endings. Based on the order you find memories and how many you collect, the ending you come to upon constructing the beacon will change.
