SHPR - UPDATE 5.0 - LAST CONTENT UPDATE

Hello guys!
This is the last content update for this game.
Before going into what has been added, I would want to thank you for playing the game!
It was an amazing experience to develop this game alongside you guys that provided me with the necessary feedback.
It didn't go very well if you compare it to the industry standard, but I am more than pleased with it since it is my first ever experience with publishing and managing a game of this scale.
It will definitely not be my last project as I am working on another game at the moment, so stay tuned!

NEW ITEMS



  • Engineer - 1/2/3 stationary machineguns will spawn in a random position and will shoot at enemies. The bullets fired by them will apply on hit effects
  • Laser gun - Each time you fire 4/3/2 bullets a laser will hit a random enemy dealing damage to it

SHPR 3.0 - small update

Hello!
This is a very small update that includes the option to unpause the game using the "Escape" key and a countdown to prevent accidental damage since the player would be forced to move their mouse to the center of the screen when resuming.

SHPR - Version 4.0

Hello guys!
This is one of the most extensive updates for this game so far!
It includes 8 new items, the option to freeze items and interest for the shop.
Income/items cost have changed and the enemies and items received many other balance changes and overall improvements.
Some of the levels were redone, some items received small buffs/nerfs so expect a more balanced experience.

NEW ITEMS



(Level 1 effects for each item)

BALANCE CHANGES



  • The HP of some enemies has been modified.
  • Many of the already existing enemies received small changes, including nerfs and buffs.

CHANGES TO THE SHOP



  • Multiplied all income and items costs by 10 to allow for easier balancing.
  • Added an option to freeze items and keep them for the next level.
  • Added interest, giving to the player more room to create their own strategy (buying items normally, waiting for gold to pile up and take advantage of that later on or finding a middle point between them)
  • The level 2 and 3 version of every items will cost less

Update 3.0 - Hotfix

This hotfix fixed the following bugs:

  • The high contrast enemies option not working in certain cases
  • The tier of stage 1 bosses would actually be set to the tier of stage 2 bosses, making them harder

SHPR - Version 3.0

Hello everyone!
I am here once again presenting you the changes in the newest update!
As most of you already know, the game was in a pretty unbalanced state. A build could easily beat the game within a blink of an eye, while some of them would even struggle to keep up with the basic enemies.
All the levels and stages were completely redone, enemies are now more balanced, and items as well.
The game has also received many UI improvements, bug fixes and Quality Of Life changes.
They include, but are not limited to:

NEW ITEMS



  • X is a value that changes accordingly to the level of each item


NEW ENEMIES



  • Hexagon - A ranged enemy that will periodically shoot many waves of bullets in multiple directions
  • Lasers - They will spawn periodically starting from the second stage, as shown in the difficulty screen
  • Elites - They are versions of the already existing enemies. They are stronger, bigger and their abilities are empowered.


BALANCE CHANGES



  • The HP of all enemies has been modified.
  • The bosses will no longer spawn their smaller counterpart infinitely, making it more beatable for certain builds.
  • Many of the items received tweaks.


UI CHANGES



  • Added a STATS tab in the menu so you can see how much damage you deal, your range, etc.
  • Modifier the ITEMS tab so it shows the effects of each item, based on level.


CHANGES TO THE SHOP



  • Reduced the amount of gold received
  • Tweaked the cost of some items.
  • The cost of an item will now increase to 2/3 if you upgrade it.
  • All weapons will now cost 2 gold each.
  • Modified the description of every item to show their effect more accurately based on the level they have
