It will bring a brand new PvP mode, a PvE episode as well as a long-awaited new map for the Escort mode:
3v3 PvP mode. Three maps will be available right from the start: Subway, Ruins, and City Hall.
New PvE episode: Twin Stilts. The story keeps unfolding!
New Escort map: Barracuda. The PvP gets hot.
Two new weapons, along with new weapon modifications, tasks, and operatives' outfits.
Weekend events, including Demolition and Invasion, will show up for a limited time for you to enjoy!
February update (R71)

The February update has arrived!
Key changes
• The Bodybuilder Season in Expedition has run to its end. Vanilla Expedition is back in the game. • Improved animation of the Bomb Dogs' attack, Chaser's flight and attack, and Strafers' movement. • New weapon inspection for the XM-40 Conciliator assault rifle, the U44 Culverina revolver, the Λ-1 Centurion submachine gun and Centurion Perforator, its legendary modification. • A new tooltip for tasks progress on the Session Details Screen so that you may see detailed info on every task. • The number of Blueprints you have is now depicted next to other currencies at the top right corner of the lobby screen. • In case of a connection issue, you will see a new icon indicating such an issue. The icon is yellow when the connection is bad, and red when it's very bad.
• The party (squad) leader has now two more actions: kick a player from the squad and assign another player as a squad leader. • Player statistics, one of the most requested features, has finally arrived! • • The statistics screen is accessible by clicking on the player's badge and choosing the "Show Profile Info" button. • • Player statistics are split into Overall Statistics and Season Pass Statistics. • • The Operative shown on the Statistics Screen is your most played operative together with your most played weapon.
• A new Preview Window for Season Pass rewards and Store items, where you can view the item and its description in detail. • The Kill Cam was improved. Since many kills/deaths occur when both parties are moving, the Kill Cam could show the killer being behind a cover a moment after the kill. Of course, at the precise moment of the kill, the killer had a direct line of sight, but the way the camera showed it could be quite disconcerting. With this improvement, the number of such erroneous cases is minimized.
BUG FIXES
• Several crash fixes. • Fixed issue where a single shot from assault rifles sounded as two shots in quick succession. • Fixed issue when a player’s name in the voice chat could stay on screen until the end of the game session. • Fixed issue where several Death Lab PvP map features did not appear on the mini-map. • Fixed issue where the kill sound failed to play when the kill was performed with a headshot. • Fixed issue where zoom-in and zoom-out sounds were missing for the G5 Earl pistol and U22 Svarog revolver. • Fixes for minor visual issues on the Invasion mode map, Hecatomb, Redlake, and Border Control episodes, the Cybertrail blitz mission, and the Island PvP map. • Fixed issue where the list of tasks could not be scrolled on the session-end screen. • Fixed issue where some areas on the Highpick map and Escort mode Escape map were overexposed at low graphics quality. • Fixed issue where the GS TAL-I11 under-barrel attachment’s 15%-increase in hip fire accuracy wasn’t displayed correctly on the weapon chart. • Fixed issues with several places on the Escort March map that could be used to reach high ground, but were not designed to provide such an opportunity. • Fixed issue with reloading animation for the M2 Tactical SAS shotgun. • Fixed issue where Ram’s ultimate ability could recharge if he got killed mid-flight. • Fixed issue where Orbit ultimate’s sound looped if he died right after his ultimate’s activation. • Fixed issue where the player report button wouldn’t work on the session-end details screen. • Fixed issue where the icon of a craft version of the U44 Culverina revolver (unavailable for crafting) was present on the Weapons Screen. • Fixed issue in Expedition where the Laser Supply Encounter could fail to complete. • Fixed issue where completing an Invasion match didn’t count into the Mingler task (Play event modes). • Fixed issue where a player could pass through a wall on the Barricade mode map and fall under the terrain. • Fixed issue in the Border Control episode where an ammo crate could fail to work after the player’s respawn during the final boss fight. • Localization fixes.
Early Access Update
Dear players,
As we reach the end of our original plan for Early Access, we can see that we still have a lot of work to do, so it is time to build a plan.
We are going to spend the next several weeks in a series of design meetings and debates to review the data and feedback and build that plan. The game will remain in Early Access with regular releases while we explore. We are doing what we believe is best to give Shatterline a long and healthy life.
We expect hard work for us and big changes for you, and we hope you will keep an open mind with us as we all journey together towards the next iteration of this game we love.

Upscaling Tech
• AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution is available in the game options.
Movement
• We tweaked the slide a bit. You can now slide infinitely down a slope and take a crouching position after canceling the slide.
Expedition
• Now all weapons retain their attachments in Expedition. Before this change, only weapons equipped on the operative before launching the Expedition were present in an Expedition match.
Balance Changes
• Kite's remote mine improvements: • • it now ignores enemy drones; • • the mine's flare has become more pronounced; • • it beeps in the spectator mode and during the best moment replay; • • the mine's ability button on HUD now blinks with a blue tint when an enemy is in close proximity to it (in sync with the audio beep);
• • the ability button blinks in a more pronounced manner with a yellow tint when an enemy is within the range that guarantees a kill.
UI/HUD
• Fine-tuned design of the Operative's Equipment Screen. • The Operatives Customization Screen was improved: now you can sweep through different operatives' Cosmetics, Equipment, and Progression without the need to leave the Customization Screen. • Game tasks are now sorted in the following order: progressed, not progressed, and completed. • The friends who are online are shown at the top of the friend list. • For platform compatibility, long player names are truncated to 24 symbols. • To avoid confusion, the "Customize" button in the Armory will be called "Preview" for weapons yet to be unlocked. • Redesigned notification for encounter completion in Expedition. • In the Coop and PvEvP (Invasion) modes, dead AI enemies no longer appear on the radar. • To improve targeting, all weapon scopes reticle and RDS color was changed to green. Since enemy outlines are red and many AIs have red color on them, it was quite difficult to discern the red dot and reticles against red enemies.
Game Options
• The interface language can now be changed in the "Interface language" option under General Options.
Animation
• Improved third-person character animations in the idle pose, when aiming down sights, on-spot and in-sprint rotation, and transition from sprint and run to a stop. • Improved Gardener AI animation. • Weapon inspection animation for the R21 Brute shotgun, the TWD X-Treme sniper rifle and X-Treme Lone Wolf modification, the Dragonfly sniper rifle, the Λ-3 Pilum assault rifle and Pilum Ivory modification, the G7 Springer pistol. Updated animation of Λ-3 Pilum and Pilum Ivory.
Audio
• Improved ambient sounds and cutscene audio in the Border Control Coop mission.
KEY BUG FIXES

Balance Changes
Weapon balance changes: • Berlington TAC and R60 Gevaudan shotguns: slightly decreased damage. • Firespray submachine gun: the precision damage and precision effective distance were slightly decreased. • CLAW FP vertical grip for the Firespray submachine gun: the 7% stability buff was replaced with the 10% accuracy buff. • Presarm VX7, SAG8 Reaper, and TWD X-treme sniper rifles: decreased accuracy .
Escort Mode tweaks: • The cart now moves at different speeds depending on the number of players pushing it. If there is only one player pushing the cart, the speed is 1.5 meters per second; two - 2 m/s; three or more - 2.5 m/s. • The cart will move backward at a speed of 0.25 m/s when controlled by the enemy. • The cart circle is colored yellow when it is contested, and red when it is controlled by the enemy and is moving backward. KNOWN ISSUE: On the March map, the colors are reversed: the cart zone is red when controlled by friendlies and blue when controlled by the enemy. • The radar spotting distance is increased by 40%.
Ram's Explosive Axe improvements: • Enemy Axe can now be destroyed by shooting at it. • Improved audio effects.
Maps & Modes
• A new Coop episode: Border Control. • Invasion PvEvP event (January 2-9, 2023) where three Shellguard operatives fight against one Chosen player and environment. Not an easy task for either side. • • Please note that since this mode is still in development, its performance is 10-15% lower in comparison with other modes. • Expedition Mode update: the new Strafer Vault encounter and three new secondary encounters. • Extreme Expedition event (January 12-16, 2023): • • AI hit points are increased 2.5 times. • • Incoming damage is increased by 20%, weak point damage is increased by 2.5 times. • • Additional weapon type damage multipliers: submachine guns: +10%, sniper rifles: -20%; shotguns: +80%. • • Contamination Overdose: two contamination modifiers are present from the start. • • Infinite Contamination: after 5 levels of contamination, the players get -20 HP to health cap for each consecutive contamination level. • Juggernaut Escort event (January 9-13, 2023) • • Escort Mode with twice the hit points. • Coop missions are now grouped into two categories for your convenience: Episodes and Blitz missions. • Updated Escort map for Escort Mode. • • Tweaked spawn points. • • New objects were introduced, and some old objects positions were changed. • • Tweaked kill zones and the cart path. • • The defender's recon class climb on the bridge was removed. • • Two exploit positions in the final stage area were closed. • • A side path at the U-shaped road turn on the cliff was added. • • The covers at the cave bunker exit were extended. • • A zip line across the ravine was added. • • The sniper position after the bridge was removed. • Updated March map for Escort Mode. • • Tweaked spawn points. • • New objects were introduced, and some old objects positions were changed. • • Tweaked kill zones and cart path. • • We removed the sniper position and Recon class climbs at the final gate, while the final gate construction was tweaked.
Animation

UI
• The Crafting Screen got some minor improvements and was moved to the Armory submenu.
Session Reconnect
• If players get disconnected from the game session due to a network error (Error 09-XX), they will be offered to reconnect back to the session after they return to the game lobby.
Content Creators Support
• In cooperation with Nexus.gg, we added the functionality to support your favorite content creator. With a special creator’s code, part of every purchase you make goes to the creator you choose. • Content creators are now able to distribute unique content among their followers by means of a redemption code in the game.

December 2 Patch
Patch 68.1 (December 2)
Bug Fixes
• There was an issue with the December 1 update where the weekly tasks progress of the majority of players migrated from Season Alpha to Season Bravo. So we had to reset the progress of all weekly tasks in Season Bravo. • Boosters. • • The booster for 100% was deactivated as it should have been active only during Season Alpha. • • Due to a bug, the new season boosters turned out to be too high. This led to a ludicrously increased season pass progression speed. We decreased the booster values as a fix. • Fixed issue in the Game Store where items purchased in Season Alpha were still displayed in Season Bravo. • Fixed issue with cosmetics boxes where the player received a small number of coins instead of a purchased weapon or operative skin.
Tweaks in Expedition: Bodybuilder season
• We increased the number of health points: instead of 100 HP at the start of the mission and 150 as the maximum, you will begin with 120 and can increase it to 170! This means that: • • Your maximum HP is +20 in comparison with the previous season. • • The number of deaths from one-shot enemy kills will decrease dramatically. • • Bodybuilder perks should feel less essential resulting in more viable builds • We significantly increased the chance of golden (3-slot) lost supply bins. More perk choices as a result. 2)

New Expedition season: Bodybuilder
• You start with 2/3 of your max health, but your maximum health cap can be increased by defeating enemies with different weapon types (depending on the perks you have). The perk for sidearms is provided by default. Be aware: the increased health cap will reset when you die. • A whole new set of 14 perks related to the Bodybuilder seasonal mechanic is added to the perk pool (with some of the old perks phased out). • New primary encounter: Koschei. • 5 new supply drop encounters.
Сoop Missions and PvP Modes
• Cyber Trail coop episode • Contaminated Hecatomb episode (event) • Domination PvP mode (to launch on December 5) • Instead of PvE missions rotated every day, they are now in a random playlist. • Demolition Mode was removed from the Versus playlist.
Performance
• We increased performance on the low graphical settings at the cost of some graphics quality compromises. • We also updated the graphics settings autodetection feature so now it should work better. Additionally, the default Display Mode is changed from Windowed Borderless to Fullscreen. • The downside of these improvements is that your current graphics settings as well as your chosen server regions will reset. Our apologies for this inconvenience.
Balance Changes
• We changed the mechanics of Malva's Medkit. It now instantly restores anything lower than 50 hit points to the said 50, and heals another 100 over the next 2 seconds. • Several Ram's abilities were rebalanced or fine-tuned: • • The Throwing Axe and the Explosive Axe. Ram's Throwing Axe cannot be picked up if damage has been dealt to the enemy; it self-destroys at enemy death; and it doesn't detach from enemies after a timeout anymore. The Explosive Axe now deals small damage on hitting enemies (50 hit points in PvP and 500 in PvE) and detonates after 0.7 sec after impact (previously it was detonating instantly on hit). If it fails to hit an enemy, it remains active for 10 sec. During this time, Ram can pick it back up or an enemy may pass by at a close distance (0.4-meter radius) triggering the axe's detonation within 0.7 seconds. After 10 seconds, the axe will self-detonate, producing a beeping sound 3 seconds before self-detonation. • • Ram's Gravity Strike charge affects only effective range now (previously it affected also impulse and damage). As a result, it is easier to use the Gravity Strike at a low charge, but the range is limited. • • And finally, during his ultimate ability flight, Ram can now strafe to the sides using the A and D keys • The number of retries in PvE missions was increased to 3 per checkpoint.
Animation & VFX
• Updated Brisa's presentation on the Play screen. • Updated animation for character vaulting over obstacles in third-person view and sprint animation in first-person view . • New weapon inspection animation for Svarog Cossack legendary pistol modification, Cinetech M5 and Firespray submachine guns, VX-7 Santa Muerte legendary sniper rifle modification, and R60 Gevaudan shotgun. • New visual effects for Ram's Gravity Strike ability charge. • Improved jump and ranged attack animation of the Behemoth boss AI.
Game Controller
• The Aim Assist setting was added to the Controller options. You can choose between Off, Weak, Normal, and Strong settings.
User Interface
• Task Widget visual improvements: the task description was moved lower while additional rewards were moved higher; the pop-up task details are larger to include more information. • The Task widget is accessible in Escape Menu on the Pre-Battle Screen. • Nameplates are now featured on the Kill and MVP screens.
Matchmaking
• Matchmaking was improved to prioritize players' ping values when adding people to a game room. This should improve hit registration.
Game Store
• You can purchase a Premium Season Pass bundled with several completed levels. • Game Store updates that will rotate throughout the season.
Key bug fixes
• Fixed crashes at the session end and the Play of the Game replay. • Fixed issue in Expedition where the Phantom Core encounter couldn't be completed if a player disconnected from the game when in the portal. • Fixed issue in Expedition where Kinetic Armor and Blast Armor perk names were mixed up. • Fixed issue in Expedition where a player could get stuck in a crystalline formation near the village. • Fixed issue in Expedition where a player could get an additional weapon after joining an ongoing mission. • Fixed issue in Expedition where the Chaser marked with the Strife perk continued attacking the players. • Fixed issue in Expedition with no contamination icons on HUD after the player's reconnection to the match. • Fixed issue in Expedition where the supply box wouldn't open under certain conditions if a player left the session and another joined afterward. • Fixed issue in Expedition where a lost supply box and a cat figurine could spawn on the same spot thus making both unusable to players. • Fixed issue in Expedition where players could see more than 5 contamination levels on the Esc menu if they changed their operative after four contamination levels. • Fixed issue in Expedition with a missing physics for some tank containers. • Fixed issue where Kite's remote mine failed to detonate if the animation of pressing the detonation button was interrupted. • Fixed issue where players could not be invited to the squad if they declined a previous invitation. We fixed VPN connectivity issues and the bug when the player had an empty pre-battle screen with no operatives on it.
Patch 2 to October update is coming on November 7
We will be updating the game with Patch 2 to the October release today, November 7. The servers will be offline from 11:00 to 14:00 CET (5-8 am EST).
The patch will fix the connectivity issue for VPN connections and the issue when the player had an empty pre-battle screen with no operatives on it.
