A new Sector Boss encounter: the Glasshead Nursery. Think a Gardener is bad enough? Well, hold his beer while he morphs into an Uber Gardener! Shut down the Nursery before more Gardeners can spawn.
Activities improvements:
World activities will no longer spawn in neighboring positions.
Activity rewards were rebalanced to avoid situations when some activities were ignored due to their lower rewards.
The Locked Tower activity has become easier to complete.
Five new perks:
Chain Lightning: gives a chance to discharge a bolt of chain lightning upon kill.
Salty Shot: the enemies have a chance to drop some Red Salt upon death.
Explosive Precision: the enemies killed with precision shots have a chance to explode.
Automatic Reloader: the active weapon will reload upon ammo pickup.
Healing Ammo: heals the player upon ammo pickup.
When you collect Red Salt, it converts into seasonal XP at once so that you may extract all of it in the end.
Seasonal XP is now displayed on your HUD along with other resources.
Contracts now reward you with two Blueprints instead of one. Furthermore, they provide you with seasonal XP instead of credits.
We increased the regeneration speed in PvE
The most noticeable increase is for Segment 2 of the health bar, especially when you walk. Regeneration speed when you run increased for all the segments.
Weapon balance tweaks
Upon careful study of the game data and players' feedback, we saw that some weapons were in need of rebalancing.
XM-27 Pacifier assault rifle: the rate of fire decreased by 7%. The D-AR ARMAG M5 enhanced capacity magazine now reduces weapon stability by 15% instead of aiming speed.
Zenith assault rifle: The AK-RPK 101 enhanced capacity magazine reduces reload time by 20% instead of 15% and reduces aiming speed by 10%.
XM-40 Conciliator assault rifle: the rate of fire increased by 7%.
Λ-9 Legatus assault rifle: the base damage decreased by 10% at mid-range and by 25% at long-range.
Presarm VX-7 sniper rifle: The AM4 MAG enhanced capacity magazine reduces reload time by 20% instead of 15% and reduces aiming speed by 15%.
G7 Springer pistol: the base damage at effective distance was slightly decreased. The MZ-09 E extended magazine reduces reload time by 20% instead of 10%.
Black Falcon II shotgun: accuracy decreased by 20%.
R21 Brute shotgun: the rate of fire decreased by 10% while stability decreased considerably due to a new recoil pattern.
Berlington TAC shotgun: accuracy during movement decreased by around 15%.
Λ-1 Centurion submachine gun: the rate of fire decreased by 5%, stability decreased by 10%, and accuracy decreased by 10%.
G5 Earl pistol: the base damage at effective distance slightly decreased.
U22 Svarog and U44 Culverina: In PvE, revolvers have not only got considerable base damage and precision damage boost, but they can also pierce the opponents and deal damage, albeit reduced, to a target behind the pierced one.
PvP Escort Mode tweaks
The escorted payload got a new visual on the Barracuda map, and this new payload has no Bomb Dogs nested in it.
Both the Barracuda payload and the old-style payload on the rest of the Escort mode maps got their movement speed tweaked: the maximum speed decreased by 20%.
Miscellaneous
Fourteen new kill reactions for Strafer AIs were added.
Сontroller aim assist changes: we improved the aim assist behavior, changed the aim assist presets, and added the aim assist strength as a separate user option.
Minor Player's Profile Screen tweaks: we added the Edit Badge button in the upper-left corner and changed the playtime units of measurement from "days, hours, minutes" to just hours.
Improved Score Board looks. We also added the party and party leader indicators.
PvE Episodes and Blitz missions are now within a single playlist, and the available mission changes every hour.
Animation improvements:
Improved synchronization of AI animation.
Smoother animation for various interactions with objects, including the recon class climbing, rearming at the ammo crates, and interacting with movable boxes, bins, and vehicles.
Improved animation of the Environment Scanner.

Community Update #1
Hey guys!
Until now we were trying to keep you informed on what’s going on with Shatterline and FragLab in a series of posts from the development team, and we realized - that’s just not enough! So with this Community Update #1, we are starting a fine tradition of regular updates, where we gather as much news and sneak peeks into the development process as possible!
This week – release R74. Some cool new stuff is coming with the regular monthly update this week. Expedition gets a new Sector Boss encounter: the Glasshead Nursery, where Gardener turns into an uber version of himself. We increased the regeneration speed in PvE. The most noticeable increase is for Segment 2 of the health bar, especially when walking. New perks, weapon balance tweaks; please read the release notes to find out about all the changes.
Next up is the second phase of Expedition rework. Our first phase of Expedition rework happened. It is not the last one, and we are preparing two more big updates to complete the rework. In the next, second, update we will be introducing a new progression loop for all our Operatives. Every playable character is getting a set of perks, gradually unlocked while playing and leveling them up. With this second big change, we want to add more depth to the Operatives and the way you play them. More options in playstyles – more fun! Let’s have a sneak peek at the new Brisa, brought to her ultimate form, with all the character perks unlocked. These perks will be available in Expedition only, for now, and all of them are still in development, so some changes down the road are to be expected.
Brisa is turning into a dangerous enemy to every glasshead out there. On top of Brisa’s current skillset, allowing her to efficiently maneuver between long-distance and close-quarters playstyles, she is now able to inflict additional damage over time while using a sniper rifle. With the right choice of weaponry to maximize her bleed damage output, she can stack it up, rush into close range, and instantly trigger all the bleeds she applied with just one hit of the melee weapon. If cloaked while doing it, she will also instantly recharge a third of her Invisibility Cloak cooldown, making it easier to hide back in the shadows and stay alive in dangerous situations. This is only one scenario among many possibilities we are sure you will come up with while playing! Oh, and more types of melee weapons are coming too, so we hope you will have a fun time choosing how exactly to punish everyone who dared to give Brisa a side-eye.
Want to know what to expect from other Operatives? We can share a bit. Pill will become a lucky looter and a very generous one at that. Malva is becoming an altruistic and angsty support, able to heal and deal damage with the wave of the hand. Strix… Is all about shields!
The battle pass experience is being carefully reviewed by the design team during this Season Charlie. Seasons Alpha and Bravo, in their own ways, showed us that completing a battle pass in one week is not much fun. In Season Charlie we tried increasing the experience required for a new battle pass level. Data and your feedback are showing that some players might have a difficult time leveling up battle pass this time, and we are looking into providing more meaningful ways to earn the battle pass experience. One of the solutions we are working on right now is making tasks friendlier and easier to complete.
We are having a battle pass XP boosters giveaway this week. Head over to our Discord, and use a command /givemexp in the event channel. Redeem the code in the in-game store before the end of Season Charlie and you'll receive a 100% XP boost, which will last for 2 days. While grabbing your booster, have a look at the Meme Contest going on this month. Submit your Shatterline meme for a chance to win a hefty sum of in-game gold!

We continue to improve ourselves and are learning to work better as an independent studio, keeping you in the loop of what’s going on with and around Shatterline. Along with the community updates we are preparing the developers' live streams, where players can ask questions and play Shatterline with us. We are putting a lot of time and effort into making sure the player feedback is heard, meticulously gathering it on our social platforms, and triaging within the team. Please join the conversation in our Discord forums and let us know how we are doing and where we can do better!
Hotfix 73.4
Voice chat is now available in the 3 v 3 PvP mode.
Patch 73.3
Hello, Shatterliners.
An important patch has arrived:
Having analyzed all the available feedback and data on the regeneration speed change, we decided to restore it to its previous state in PvP, and leave it as is in PvE. After this change, we'll continue monitoring feedback and data, and will implement further adjustments if needed.
Fixed issue in Expedition where players could do multiple decontaminations in a row and fully reset contamination after completing a dungeon.
Fixed issue in Expedition where the players were shown on the ground for a split second before the cinematic clip with deployment.
Fixed issue in Expedition where the Shady contract could be completed by itself, without players' doing anything to this end.
Fixed issue in Expedition where the requested supplies could be dropped in the area where the players had come from.
Fixed issue in Expedition where the crystalline trucks activity rewards were not in line with the designed values.
Fixed issue in Expedition where the Data Center encounter could be activated by one player, and it could be started with an active extraction at that.
Patch 73.2
Fix for Error 07-41.
New game loading screen.
Fixed issue where incorrect mission loading screens were displayed for Blitz missions.
Patch 73.1
• Fixed issue in Expedition where the players could enter a dungeon after requesting extraction. • Fixed issue in Expedition's Horror Maze Dungeon where the battery couldn't be picked up if it had been dropped by a player or if a player had died while carrying it. • We added a game server in Canada.
Update R73: New Expedition
Hi there, Shatterliners!
We are happy to present you with another big update in two months. And the changes are big!
EXPEDITION
Back in January, we announced that Shatterline needed some more work and fine-tuning before it was ready for release. One of the game’s key features is, of course, Expedition, and we brought our primary attention to it to make it a real crown jewel of the game.
So here we are, two months past, to present you with our first iteration of the all-new Expedition. Kindly note that this is a work in progress, and we will expand on what you will see in the present update.
In revisiting Expedition, we focused on the exploration aspect, putting the player’s choice of what to do first, thus making Expedition a non-linear experience with diversified gameplay and high replayability.
What changed? Well, a lot. We won't spill out all the beans here, but here are the key changes.
1. The map is now divided into four sectors, each one having a different Threat Level ranging from 1 to 4. The Threat Level governs the number of hostiles and their deadliness, and the starting sector always has Threat Level 1.
No worries: the Contamination Levels are still there to make your expedition in the Zone anything but a cakewalk.
2. It’s for you to decide what to do in the sector or whether to proceed to another one. To identify what to explore, you have a nifty tool: the Environment Scanner, which scans the surrounding area for activities you may engage in for different rewards. Such activities include Dungeon Clearances, Sector Bosses, Contracts, etc.
3. Supply Drops are no longer a given thing: it is now your option to call for them via Mule Communicators, special communication devices scattered around the map. But to do that you need to spend some Red Salt.
What’s the Red Salt you ask? Besides the fact that its collection is the primary objective of Shellguard’s expeditions into the Zone (as the Red Salt is the backbone for those cool special abilities and weapons Shellguard operatives use), it is the in-Zone currency you may either spend on Supply Drops or carry with you by extracting from Expedition and convert it into Season Pass progression points.
4. When exploring the Zone, you may stumble upon Secret Stashes where you can find blueprints, game credits, and Chosen weapons. These stashes are not visible on the Environmental Scanner.
5. There is a dedicated melee weapon: the Tactical Kukri. It’s available from the outset of the mission along with a handgun, and you can draw the Kukri by long-pressing the default V button (the quick melee action is still available via quick-pressing the V button when the Kukri is not in use). The big perk of the Kukri is the ability to parry melee attacks by clicking the right mouse button, thus considerably reducing the received melee damage.
6. There is no final boss, and your mission is to extract in time before the Threat and Contamination Levels are so high, you are doomed to die. Extraction can be requested via the same Mule Communicators.
BALANCE CHANGES
Health regeneration speed now depends on your movement speed. The regeneration speed is at maximum when you are not moving, decreases when you are walking, and decreases even further when you are running. A special icon to reflect the current regeneration speed was added under the player health bar.
MISCELLANEOUS
We've implemented the first iteration of the Text Chat. It is available for communication within the team in session in all game modes (default "Y"). Coordinating your actions is now easier.
Fullscreen and the 60 FPS cap are now the default settings. You can change them in Options to your liking.
Active weapon modification perk is now displayed on the Esc-button menu.
A special animation when a new weapon is unlocked.
A QR code with a link to Shatterline Discord Community was added to the Expedition loading screen while at the beginning of an Expedition a prompt to press the default T to use the in-game voice chat is shown.
Weapon inspection for the SAG-8 Reaper sniper rifle.
BUG FIXES

Fixed bug where the player could get stuck in the crates at the Strafer Base in the Intro Mission.
Fixed bug where the player could get outside of the Queen boss fight arena in the Red Lake episode.
Fixed bug with the G9 Kungel pistol inspection where the inspection sounds could continue after the player interrupted the inspection by starting moving.

Fixed bug in Expedition with invisible walls at the Strafer Base and at the Waterfall.
Fixed bug in Expedition where the Research Station door wouldn't close after the encounter activation.
Fixed bug in Expedition where the Spiked Orb could spawn too high in the sky if there were high cliffs around the encounter site.
Fixed bug in the Red Lake episode where the player could get stuck in the rocks near the Third Transmitter.
Fixed bug with a blurry RN Stilcomb sight for the Λ-9 Legatus assault rifle when the player was aiming down sights.
Fixed bug in the Escort map where the player could get to a non-playable area using Ram's ultimate ability.
Fixed bug in the Escort map where the shots didn't get through the wrought iron fence of the second-floor terrace.

Fixed bug in the Shooting Range where the distance marker fell underground after a dummy target was killed.
Fixed bug in the Armory where all weapon modifications perk descriptions were mentioned twice.
Fixed bug where the %sl_presence% text was shown in the players' Steam badge to their Steam friends instead of a PvP match status in the game.
Fixed bug where the CLAW FP grip for the Λ-1 Centurion submachine gun increased the weapon's stability instead of accuracy.
Fixed bug where the Momentum Booster attachment added a bullet after every kill instead of every two kills.
Fixed bug where event tasks were shown when there was no active event.
Fixed bug where the Dragonfly Stradivari and Dragonfly Constellation sniper rifle modifications with the AM4 MAG magazine had 22 bullets instead of 21.
Fixed bug where activating Ram's ultimate ability and interacting with an object a split second after that made Ram lose his weapons, abilities, and sprint function.
Patch 72.1
Hi there,
This small patch fixed several pesky bugs:
• Fixed bugs with the Season XP Booster: • • The bug where an incorrect aggregate Season XP Booster value was shown if the player received two or more XP boosters. In this case, the system showed only the value of the latest booster, notwithstanding that all booster values were aggregated. It was a UI bug: the game always applied the correct aggregate value. • • The bug where the player had several boosters with different expiration times and all of the boosters expired at once with the one that expired first, even if the other boosters should have lasted for some more time. • Fixed bug where the shooting sounds of the Firespray Gator, M5 Angry Cloud, and Dragonfly Stradivari weapon modifications could be missing.
Update R72: Season Charlie
Hello, dear friends!
Season Charlie has finally arrived!
We have a lot of good stuff for you in today's March Update (R72).
SEASON CHARLIE
Season Charlie has brought, among other things: • New tasks and cool rewards, including: • • Two new weapons: the Λ-7 Ghost assault rifle and the G9 Kungen pistol. • • Spiffy outfits: Orbit's Deimos Suit and Kite's Anubis Suit. • Seven new weapon modifications to craft: • • M2 Tactical Bloodstream shotgun (2 extra ammo in the tube) • • Black Falcon Chornobyl shotgun (effective range is increased by 10%) • • Dragonfly Stradivari sniper rifle (weapon stability is increased by 10%) • • Legatus Mural assault rifle (effective range is increased by 5%) • • M5 Angry Cloud submachine gun (weapon selection speed is increased by 13%) • • Firespray Gator submachine gun (weapon stability is increased by 10% and accuracy - by 5%) • • Svarog Constellation revolver (weapon stability is increased by 10%). • New PvE episode: Twin Stilts. • New Escort map: Barracuda • New 3v3 PvP mode with three maps: Subway, Ruins, and City Hall.
BALANCE CHANGES
PvE combat changes:
• We have been preparing some interesting changes for PvE combat mechanics to create a more engaging combat. You will see a part of these changes in the current update while the rest will follow suit later on. • Melee AIs (Glassheads). To tell you the truth, we were not particularly happy with how they performed as they were way too fast and didn't contribute enough to the gameplay. Thus, we increased their health, decreased their damage, lowered the maximum speed, and extended the stagger feature. • AIs' stagger. You may have noticed that when AIs received enough damage, they halted, breaking their attack for a moment. This stagger depended on the amount of received damage, therefore higher-damage weapons were much better at it than other weapons. We changed this by introducing a new stagger parameter into weapons and abilities (the only ability that has it right now is Stryx's Crystalline Grenade), thus the AIs' stagger depends on this parameter and not on the sustained damage as it was before. This change should provide more depth and meaning to the stagger mechanic. Furthermore, some enemies will be highlighted as being in the Stagger State, informing the player that the enemy is weakened and will incur additional damage. • The above-mentioned stagger mechanic will also apply to the player, albeit in PvE only. When players receive a certain amount of melee or area-of-effect damage, their maximum speed will get lower and they will receive increased melee damage for a brief period of time. Don't get swarmed!
Other AI changes:
• The Strafers now prioritize covers when possible. • The in-flight time of Minotaur's rockets (the time between their launch and impact) has increased. • Mongoose's frag grenade tweak: The frag grenade had an increased radius of explosion in PvE missions (episodes and Blitz missions). Now, this increased explosion radius has been extended to Expedition.
Shotguns rebalance:
(ATTENTION: The shotgun changes are not final, thus prone to fine-tuning and rework)
The shotguns got changed differently for PvE and for PvP. • In PvP, all primary shotguns (the Lupara Compatta is considered a secondary shotgun, so it is not part of this change) got their damage at midrange decreased by around 35% on average. The Lupara Compatta's damage at midrange decreased by around 30%. • In PvE, all primary shotguns got a huge increase in damage at midrange. • In the Shooting Range, the shotguns work as if in PvP.
MISCELLANEOUS
• The Task Widget now shows the remaining time until new daily tasks arrive. • The Game Store tiles received a new visual. • The weapon chart shows the new stagger parameter discussed in the Balance Changes above. • In Expedition, the in-game ESC menu has got a new button called "I'm stuck." As you can easily guess, you may now report a spot on the map where you got stuck and couldn't get out. It will help us fix such annoying issues quicker. • Players in a party get twice as much time to reconnect to the match in comparison with a solo player. • Voice chat is muted if the game is minimized. • Luppara Compatta, Black Falcon II, M2 Tactical SAS, and Λ-9 Legatus have got their long-deserved inspection animation. • Ram's Gravity Strike ability got the enemy-foe color differentiation: blue for the friendly and red for the enemy. • From now on, Season Pass boosters increase your season experience points received from playing matches but don't apply to season experience points obtained from completing game tasks.
BUG FIXES
• Crash fixes. • Fixed issue with a missing magazine reload animation for the SAG-8 Reaper sniper rifle. • Fixed issue where spotting marks remained on the HUD during a play-of-the-game replay. • Fixed issue with the Momentum Booster attachment for the TWD X-treme sniper rifle when it allowed shooting two bullets without reloading. • Fixed issue with incorrect animation of the Lupara Siciliana secondary shotgun modification when the player stood idly. • Fixed issue with missing red fog indicating hazard areas in the Sunken Lab blitz mission. • Fixed issue with the Mitigator grip attachment causing a loud reload sound for the Λ-9 Legatus assault rife. • Fixed issue with the Drachen Racer submachine gun modification equipped with either the Gunstream Z-54 or Tridot GO rds where the screen outside the zoomed-in area went black for a second when you were hit by a sniper. • Fixed issue where the throwing of the Firewave Grenade took longer than the throwing of the Wall Grenade by Strix. • Fixed issue where a reload animation of the Zenith assault rifle could be missing when reloading the gun for the second time. • Fixed issue where Strafers could get stuck in some covers. • Fixed issue where a player could get into a non-playable area on the Death Lab and Nisida PvP maps by using Orbit's dash ability. • Fixed issue where all HUD markers failed to display in 4K resolution if AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution was enabled. • Fixed issue where the Double Trouble task was not displayed as a PvP-only task. • Fixed issue where the use of the Selenium Ammo attachment on the G07 Springer hid its Carbon Handle grip in the Armory. • Fixed issue with the missing sounds of lava boulders in Expedition. • Fixed issue where players were always resurrected with a primary weapon, even if they died with a secondary. • Fixed issue on the Escape PvP map where a player could fall under terrain at several spots. • Fixed issue where the game client could get stuck when a player quickly switched between weapons in the Armory. • Fixed issue with an incorrect description of the Black Falcon II's Titanium Pellets attachment. • Fixed issue where Ram could perform a gravity strike or throw an axe while using his ultimate ability. • Fixed issue where the kill counter showed an incorrect number of kills in the Armory if it was used on various weapons. • Fixed issue with overlapping music if you played consecutive matches or left the game session and joined another one.
