Prevented team mode cheese where one player stands directly on top of another to block the winning player from getting any items by having item collisions on multiple players prioritize the player with fewer items
Limited the number of items any player can hold to twice the amount they start the match with
Items don't expire in team mode
The fewest number of items in play is now limited to two per player in the match (used to be one)
Merged solo play vs playing with friends character select so that you don't have to choose between the two from the main menu

Team Mode + Tweaks, Fixes and More Screen Filters
This update brings a new mode to the game: Team Mode! Turn it on in the lobby settings and team up with friends, frenemies, bots, online and offline!
Team Mode allows for new strategies and a different gameplay experience. Only one player on your team has to win for the whole team to win! So either go for emptying out your reserves, or block your teammates from getting items to take your team to victory!
In addition, this update includes some new screen filters, which can be changed in the game settings. Check them out!
"Sock Art"
"Mosaic Glow"
And the already available "Lottes CRT"
Other Updates:
Changes to the Hammerhead Oasis level to make it more fun and open
Fixed some issues with spawning on top of other players in the beginning
Some more tips shown in the lobby
Story mode teaser
I hope you enjoy the new mode and updates!

Update notes for Apr 19
Game can now run in windowed mode (press alt+enter or F11 to switch)
Some fixes to the CRT shader
CRT Shader added!
I've been messing around with a lot of CRT stuff, been appreciating the enhancements that playing pixel-art games on an old tube television offers, and this got me inspired to port Lotte's public domain CRT shader to my game's engine. This option is now available in the Settings section of the game. Take a look at the results! (Original non-shader version follows each for comparison)
I really like how it enhances the details in the art and blends the colors nicely. I especially like how it really brings out the background in the stars in the first picture.
I hope you enjoy this new little enhancement! Stay safe, happy, healthy and positive out there!

Shell Out Showdown Fully Released on Steam (in Japanese too!)
I'm very happy to announce that Shell Out Showdown is fully released on Steam today!
Early Access is done, thanks so much to everyone who helped me along the way and provided fun times and great feedback. I'm very proud of how this game has come together and am excited for it to be available in full.
To celebrate the release of this game, a 10% discount will be running on Steam for a whole week, from April 4th through April 10th.
Compared to the Early Access version, this release has more maps, custom room options, lobby emotes/chat, improved performance, offline local play, Steam Cloud Saves, remastered music, and lots of tweaks, fixes and improvements to the play experience. In short: It's super fun!
In addition, the game has been translated to Japanese! With the help of Active Gaming Media, the translation has been completed and the press release for Japan is going out now! I'm excited to launch this game in Japan and for everyone to be able to play together online. It was a lot of fun learning a little bit about the truly amazing language the Japanese have and tackling the task of getting it into the game. If you speak and/or read Japanese, you can set the game language from the main menu in-game, or from the game's language settings in Steam.
So check out the full release on Steam now, and have fun tossing food at your friends in this give-to-win reverse battle-royale!
