Shopkeeper Simulator VR

Time Limit in Level Transitions

Some of you may have already found out that you can use the time between levels to buy your items in peace.

This is a great idea (and we would do it like this too), but we want to make the level transitions more exciting and have introduced a 30 seconds limit!

Oculus Rift, Tooltips, Fridge, Autosave And Improved Controls

We have new content and improvements for you!

The Fridge

As you might know, the fridge in Shopkeeper Simulator VR had a nice door and a humming sound but no function whatsoever.

With the latest update that has changed! Keep your milk, meat, cheese and joghurt always in a cool place to avoid wasting it forever! You won't get money for decayed items from your customers!

Autosave

From now on you do not have to start a new game every time you start Shopkeeper Simulator VR. We have added a button on the laptop screen that lets you exit and save the game automatically:

The next time you start the game, you can choose a new option from the main menu:

Tooltip Help

We are trying out a new help system to help new players get started. When you hover your hand over a help icon, a panel will fade in giving you details:

Support for the Oculus Rift

Experience your shopkeeping business now on the Oculus Rift! Since the play area with 2 by 1 Meters is not too large, the Rift is able to track all your movements.

Updated VR Hands Alignment

The VR hands should now feel more natural because they have the same orientation as the "real" hands. Grabbing and pointing with the Vive and Rift controllers feels better now!

We also made the following improvements:

  • Items will be snapped firmly to your hands when you pick them up
  • Better and easier scrolling of the laptop screen
  • Better and more realistic lighting

Have fun with the new update and let us know if you experience any problems!

Fridge Update Released!

As always, any feedback on this update is appreciated :-)

Fridge Update Coming Soon!

If you don't cool certain groceries, they will go to waste! So pay attention to keep them cool at all times!

Support for the Oculus Rift

Experience your shopkeeping business now on the Oculus Rift! Since the play area with 2 by 1 Meters is not too large, the Rift is able to track all your movements.

Level Support Added!

We added a simple leveling mechanic! Players start in Level 1 and need to make a certain amount of cash in order to advance. The difficulty increases indirectly because you have to spend more money for resupplies as the game goes on.

This update is included in tomorrow's release! We are looking forward to it!

Update Log Until Today

Dear community,

first of all, I would like to thank you for your interest in Shopkeeper Simulator VR! Your support and feedback is very important to us because it allows us to assess where the game should be going.

We would like to make our development history to the present day more transparent. That way, you may get a deeper insight how the game has developed over time and that we keep updating it constantly.

We took the complete update history from the website "itch.io" where the game was initially presented. You find the original blog on itch.io.
