Hello everyone, we have received lots of valuable feedback since the game is released, according to which, we made some adujustments to optimize our game. This update improves voice chat, map and other features.
Voice Chat
1. New feature: Press V to turn on/off voice chat.
2. Fixed a bug where voice chat would not turn on/off when player open the map during the conference.
Adjustments
1. Map is automatically opened for discussion during the conference.
2. Adjusted the location of the shared carton in the conference room to prevent players from getting stuck
3. Fixed a bug where network delays would cause packet loss in backpack display.

Hello everyone, we would like to thank you all for your support. We’ve received lots of love and valuable feedback since the game is released. For the current version of Sinister night, every comment and suggestion is highly appreciated. After careful consideration, we decided to optimize the game as soon as possible to improve the game experience.
Patch 1.10 fixed some bugs players have experienced lately. This latest update brings to following improvement to SN:
CG: Parts of animations with gore and violence have been removed temporarily.
Gameplay: Player is able to turn on/off the flashlight if tied up after voting session.

Q: What's Sinister Night? A: Sinister Night is a multiplayer survival, horror, and deduction game, eight streamers enter a mysterious old building, planning to get famous via a live stream, but two of them become possessed by evil spirits. They will kill their companions and sacrifice them at the altar to complete a sinister ritual.
Q: Do I need to turn on the microphone to play the game? A: Yes. Turn on the microphone to communicate with your teammates in real time and it would be fun.
Q: How many people can be in a match? A: 8 people are required to start a game, but you can also join other players' rooms.
Q: Can I choose to be the possessed/survivor in the game? A: No. The possessed/survivor is randomly assigned.
Q: Can I stream/post footage of the game on YouTube/Twitch? A: Absolutely! We would love for you to share our games!

Development Log #2
Today, we’d like to introduce one of the most important characters in Sinister Night to you - Dorothy, the Nun.
Originally, Dorothy means God's gift. She was the best and most helpful nun this Gnostic church school. However,she was chosen to be the most brutal killer.
She gradually became distorted and depraved. She believed that destroying the body helped everyone escape from imprisonment and she was liberating them from the cage. With the ability of shapeshifting , Dorothy took advantage of everyone's trust in her and framed the blame on others many times. For a long time, the school was full of mutual suspicion. People began to hurt and kill each other, venting their emotions like beasts.
Finally, the time came. Dorothy, as the scariest ghost nun, brought the massacre to a climax.

Art Design Ideas Originally, we intended to design a monster from hell, which was influenced by demons. Considering the game features and gameplay, we decided that the character is in human form, and we also incorporated hellish elements into the design.
As the worldview developed, we added religious backgrounds to the character and still keeped the hellish vibe. Therefore, we tried different directions during the process.
After much discussion, we decided that the character is a young nun, which is a symbolic identity resonating with culture. To make her look more menacing and aggressive, we added sharpness to the outer silhouette and increase the overall instability within the design range.
In the final draft, her face is shackled and severely distorted,which is more in line with the painful setting of the character'sbewitching control. She is dressed in a black nun dress, and her hat is crowned with spikes, signaling her danger. Body horror elements are added to her body parts, and torture devices also exacerbate her suffering, which increases the horror vibe and the tension of jumpscare.
Skill Design Ideas As a main character, Dorothy has magical powers inside her.
In the original setting, Dorothy moves at a constant speed in the Crimson Dream, which greatly limits Dorothy's hunting actions.
So we optimized Dorothy's movement speed. Now she can move faster to the survivors to kill them in the dream, and after the dream ends, she can choose to return to her original position quickly to cover herself. This not only increases the excitement of the game, but also exacerbates the distrust and mutual suspicion between players.

Eight streamers came to an abandoned Gnostic school where a terrible murder happened, yet two of them have been possessed by the Corrupter. Once the Scarlet Dream started and piercing screams split the air, one player was lying in their own blood. Hidden under the Ghost, is it Satan incarnate or a wicked witch? Wraiths that died miserably are still wandering around in this school. They will tell you exactly what happened here. Find the Offering that stops the evil rituals, or execute the Corrupters hidden among you. Save your life from your destiny as the "Last Supper."
