May 2nd Patch Notes

These updates apply to the Vampire Hunter Mode DLC:


  • Several changes have been made to randomly generated room layouts in order to prevent impossible levels from being generated
  • Moving platforms have been updated in order to prevent them from getting stuck
  • Coffins should no longer drop blessings during Tony's quests
  • Changes made to palette unlocks to prevent them from being unlocked early
  • Fixed issue of some background props appearing in the incorrect level

January 4th Patch Notes


  • Date of Vampire Hunter Mode release has been changed (we're still hard at work on it and hope to release it as soon as possible, thank you for your patience!)
  • Movement on crates should be smoother and more consistent
  • Fixed bug that prevented the double boomerang from working in Hard Mode
  • Fixed bug that could cause boss outros in Hard Mode to break if the player pressed certain buttons

The team is still plugging away at the Vampire Hunter Mode DLC, but before it launches, the base game is available for 40% off as part of the Steam Winter Sale, so now is the perfect time to pick it up if you haven't already, or purchase it for someone else if you're in the giving spirit! November 23rd Patch Notes


  • Fixed a bug that would prevent the second boomerang from being thrown when the doublerang is equipped

November 6th Patch Notes


  • Fixed a bug where achievements for beating Hard Mode could not be unlocked. Achievements relating to reaching the game's endings will now be unlocked automatically if you've already done so in the past on that save.
  • A bug where the player can reach 110% completion early should be fixed now.
  • Fixed bug where stats menu wouldn't display all earned trophies.
  • Grim Rob fight on Hard Mode now appropriately gives shards.
  • Fixed issue with Anne's Revenge fight causing an error upon skipping the intro.

November 3rd Patch Notes


  • Palette menu now shows conditions for unlocking palettes.
  • First sign in the game now displays button prompts instead of text on top of a fixed image.
  • Bug that cause palettes to be erroneously unlocked upon loading a save should be fixed.

November 2nd Patch Notes


  • Palettes can now be unlocked from extra stages.
  • Space stage can now be restarted properly during time trials.
  • Fixed bug where space ship could be over-healed.
  • Fixed bug where Saturday would move to unusual places during his final phase; also made some changes that should prevent him from being frozen, hopefully they work.
  • Made some changes in an attempt to prevent crashes with certain types of controllers.

The Skeleton Boomerang reVamped update is now available! Experience the game in widescreen, race through stages in time trials, and unlock palettes to give Hunter a flashy new appearance, all along with several other graphical and quality of life updates to give the game a whole new feel and look!

Prefer the old Skeleton Boomerang? Don't worry, you can access the old, non-widescreen build through a branch in the game's properties called preVamped.
