[New build - DEFAULT] 24w011b: Scanner and physics improvements

A new player scanner feature has been added. Press V (bindable) to reveal ore location in a radius of 300m.
This should make finding the first ore much less tedious.

A big improvement to the physics engine has been done: depenetrations impulses no longer carry inertia.
It means that things will bounce much much less (the remaining bounce being a natural restitution force), ie a ship on a landing pad or several ores resting on each other.

The player locomotion logic was also improved: it will feel less bouncy and now deals with moving platforms correctly.

[New build - DEFAULT] 24w07a: More Survival Hotfixes

Another hotfix build with mainly survival fixes.

This build contains a tentative fix for the entity destroyed on build/load (it seems random to reproduce)
=> If you ever encounter that issue again please report it!

Changes:
#5477 Rocks spawns at the same exact color for each biome, so stack of rocks will merge more easily.

Hotfixes:
#5486 #5530 Can drag item into assembler input slots.
#5521 Stones item do not have tooltip
#5504 Repair tool icon staying upon codex close.
#5502 Arc Furnace will attempts pull coal
- It is possible to drag coal is an input for the furnace and the crucible

[New build - DEFAULT] 24w06b: First Survival hotfixes

Just a few hours after the survival closed test lands we get our first batch of hotfixes thanks to our testers.

Hotfixes:
#5473 Legacy bricks will drop once deleted.
#5472 Can build and delete block on a wreck.
- Tree are not dropping wood.

[New build - DEFAULT] 24w06a: Survival Closed Beta Test

This build adds a few tweak for the Survival closed beta test.

Changes:
- Starting planets is now smaller at around 100km (vs 140 km before). Gravity will be a bit lighter and the time taken to reach the asteroid will be shorter.
- Terrain depenetration has been tweaked.

[New build - DEFAULT] 24w05a: Crystals

This build adds a new resources: crystals.
For now there is a single crystal type, used as a medium tier resource to craft lightcruises engine.
During survival the player will have to build a spaceship in order to reach asteroids where they will spawn.

Several more crystals will be added over time as higher tier resources.

What should they be called? Don't hesitates to share your ideas!

  • - Destroyed status will now show in Codex Entity.
  • - Repairing will now fix destroyed status

[New build - DEFAULT] 24w02a: New Year Hotfixes

This build delivers a few long standing fixes and improvements.

Edit: there was a regression breaking mechanism bug live for a few hours. Issue is now fixed, really sorry for that!

  • - Grab tool: maximum distance added
  • - Grab tool: help message on how to vary distance.
  • - Physics engine: Collision improved for items.
  • - New Male idle animations.

[New build - EXPERIMENTAL] 23w52b: Grab Tool, Hovercraft improvements

The push tool has been replaced by a grab tool.
It mainly solve the issue of putting hovercraft back upside up but it can be used for any purpose.
Press the rotate key with / without shift in order to move the entity grabbed closer or further away.

The hovercraft has also been improved:

  • Fixed issue on down ramp that sucked the craft to the ground
  • hoverpod are now rotating
  • the direction the force is applied now depends on distance to the ground.
  • Power down is now smoother.
