Lighting Bug Fix

I finally managed to track down the lighting bug and traced it to the volumetric clouds. I have temporarily disabled the clouds in the main menu which will fix it until a more permanent fix is found.

Physics fixes

Today I have a small update.

- Fixed an issue that caused the left hand lantern to jitter.
- Fixed an issue that cause players to launch into the air when walking over certain rocks.

Fixes and translation imrpovements

Today I have a small patch that fixes the following.

- Made it more difficult to escape the playable area.
- Fixed an issue with direct connections via steam invites.
- Improved German translations with the community feedback.

Dynamic Resolution Fix

Fixed an issue where dynamic resolution might downscale when it shouldn't, needlessly lowering the image quality.

Graphical Enhancements

Today I bring to you another patch with graphical enhancements and bugfixing.

Enhancements:
- Improved shadows across the board.
- Improved lighting in the main menu and the lobby.
- Blended the visibility boxes better inside the maze walls.
- Fixed another screen tearing issue.
- Reduced noise on volumetrics.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a material bug causing pink texture to display near the secret room on John's Corn Maze.
- Fixed a bug that rarely caused the rune to spawn at the entrance of the maze.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Bamboo Thicket map to not correctly reset the round timer.

Other:
- The cryptid and music box can now be heard from further away.
- The music box now fades in volume quicker to be much more subtle at a distance.

Up next is more co-op improvements and bug fixes. In addition, co-op voice will be added, which was the main reason audio settings were not yet implemented. Both will be added together.

Bamboo Thicket Update, State of Snipe Hunt and future plans.

Today I have the Bamboo Thicket Update. Introduced is a new map with new theming. The Bamboo Thicket is the next step up in the map progression and is sure to give you more spooks and thrills. It is now added to the random rotation of maps on the job board.

In addition to the new map we have the following bug fixes and enhancements:
- Player no longer spins when UI becomes locked such as when entering a menu.
- Fixed an issue that sometimes caused some objects to pop into view around corners.
- Improved the visuals on the main menu.
- Added a size rating mechanic for maps. This indicates how large the maze is in the mission and adjusts the stress gain rate to compensate fairly. Larger maps build up stress slower.

State of the Game:
Currently the main breaking bugs have been dealt with in singleplayer outright. If there is still a major bug in singleplayer that hasn't been addressed, please let me know with a bug report.

Co-op still has a few bugs yet but is playable. The main known bugs to deal with have to do with item desyncs on item drop and leaving a mission from the menu. The player animations are a bit goofy yet so get your laughs in while you can.

VR works fine in singleplayer with some caveats. WMR is still not officially supported but has been reported to work if you set your device to use the OpenXR API, not in the game but for your device itself. Roomscale users will need to reset your origin if you move a significant distance from it after a scene loads. Using a vial on footprints is still awkward yet.

VR in Co-op is pretty broken and needs some significant fixes before it's ready yet.

Plans for the Future:
The immediate plan is to finish up fixing the Co-op and VR Co-op bugs followed by a QoL patch to make the VR experience more enjoyable. After that I plan to implement one more map before beginning work on a progression system to further enhance the experience.

Direct Invite Hotfix

Today's patch fixes an issue that caused direct invites through steam friends to not work correctly and leave the game in an invalid state. Direct steam invites should work properly now.

Tearing fix and more

Today is a small patch.

- Fixed a rendering issue that caused screen tearing.
- Tweaked the lighting some more in the lobby house.
- Changed it so the tutorial is automatically started upon the first time playing.
- Reduced the local fog in some places.

Co-op fixes coming soon.

Hotfix patch.

Today is a smaller hotfix.

Fixed:
- Fixed an issue with rune always being visible.
- Fixed bug with pickup of item already placed on trap.
- Fixed issue with reticle sprites not clearing sometimes when inventory items lost.
- Fixed an issue with mouse sensitivity not being maintained between scenes.

The primary bug fixes are nearly coming to a close and soon new content will be able to be added. I hope to see you there.

UI Layering, Lighting and VR Door Hotfix

Today I bring to you a fix and an improvement.

- Fixed UI Layering bug that sometimes caused UI elements to incorrectly render in front of other objects.
- Last patch that introduced the door as an interactable item had a bug in VR preventing entering missions. That has been fixed.
- Lighting has been improved in most scenes.
