More bug fixes
Another batch of bug fixes just landed.

Fixes:
- Fixed app hangs sometimes when disconnecting from server.
- Logic for leaving mission changed so that all living players must be near the exit or dead before returning to lobby.
- Fixed issue with clients being able to see the rune without goggles.
- Fixed UI scaling issue with server list.

Additions:
- Added ghost mode for dead players in multiplayer.

Bug Fixing.
The last couple of patches have fixed a couple of breaking bugs and added a new Training mission to ease new players into the game. We are aware of several other bugs and are currently working to fix them as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Bugs fixed:
VR LoD popping issue fixed.
Fixed an issue with evidence sometimes spawning in the hidden paths on Sebastian Farm.

Additions:
Added a training mission that teaches how to find evidence using the core tools.

Fixes a breaking bug with VR culling that caused extremely bad popping of visuals.

Snipe Hunt Launch
After a long and grueling journey, Snipe Hunt has officially launched. I hope it was well worth the wait. I will be addressing critical bugs in the immediate future as they arise. Please, please, please report them if you find any. You can report them at the community hub's discussion board or the game's discord server. After things stabilize I will be turning my attention to content updates shortly after.

Snipe Hunt Launch on Oct 24
The launch has been postponed until Oct 24 to give time to make the product a better experience for everyone. I hate to announce a delay but I would much rather put out a quality game rather than rush the release. The extra time will be put to good use making sure there's less bugs, more content, and more polish. I look forward to seeing you then.

Announcing Online Co-op for Snipe Hunt.
Today I am pleased to announce that online co-op is being developed for Snipe Hunt. You asked for it and I will make it happen. Wishlist now to be notified when the game releases.

It is with great pleasure that I get to announce that Snipe Hunt will be releasing on Sep 23, 2022. Save the date. I look forward to seeing you all there on launch day.

Next Fest Demo Speedrun Contest
In the spirit of the Next Fest, we are going to have a little contest to get hyped up. The challenge is to speedrun the demo version of Snipe Hunt, capturing the monster as fast as is possible without relying on lucky guessing. No VR submissions for this contest but a later contest might be tailored to VR users.

Rules:

  • Must find enough evidence to deduce which cryptid is the monster. No random guesses but logical deductions are fine.
  • Must place the trap and successfully capture the monster.
  • Must find the music box and exit the maze with it in inventory.
  • Time starts when you close the opening letter from Norman and ends when you confirm exiting the maze. The demo will display the time then.
  • Bugs may be exploited for this contest but no modifications or outside tool assistance is allowed.
  • Submissions must be recorded and hosted in an uncut video format hosted on either YouTube or the game's Community Hub.
  • Post your submission in a discussion in the game's community hub for verification.



The best verified times for each cryptid type will receive the following:

  • Four full keys to the full version of the game(one for you and three for your friends).
  • A special role to recognize your accomplishment on our discord server.
  • An invitation into future beta tests beyond what the demo will provide.

Snipe Hunt Demo Play With Special Guest And Commentary - Next Fest Round 2
Prepare for spooks and thrills as special guest and friend, Yang Koete, plays the demo. The dev will be present to field specific questions.

Event starts at 1PM PT | 4PM ET and is scheduled to last about an hour and a half. I hope to see you there. There will also be an announcement that happens during the event so be sure to tune in.
