Update 1.23: New Graphics, Haptic Feedback, Gameplay Improvements, and a 50% Discount!
Happy Lunar New Year! The weather might not be warming up, but we are with Snow Fortress 1.23! To celebrate, we have a 50% discount and a number of game updates for you:
- Hardware Update: bHaptics Integration - Oof! If you use bHaptics devices, you can now feel snowball impacts to the face, body, and hands.
- Gameplay Update: Increased Hearts in Multiplayer PvP - Matches ended a little quickly in PvP, so we’ve increased lives from 3 to 5 hearts.
- Graphics Update: New Models and Animations - We added a fresh coat of paint to the game’s models and logo. Gotta look good for the new year!
- Graphics Update: Impact Feedback - Sometimes, it was hard to tell when you were hit, so we improved the visual feedback when struck by snowballs.
- Bug Fix: Oculus Controller Mapping Bug
- Bug Fix: Other Miscellaneous Bugs
If you have faraway friends who want to play, but don’t own a VR headset, Snow Fortress can be found at SpringboardVR, VR Junkies, Ctrl V, MontVR, and Synthesis VR arcades around the world - with more locations coming soon! (Hint: Brazil, Finland, and South Korea are about to get frosty.)

Tippy Tree Launch!

Tippy Tree is a virtual reality puzzle game that has you decorate the tippiest of trees. Celebrate the holiday season with trinkets aplenty, but watch out, without careful planning, all of your work may come crashing down!
If you like Snow Fortress and want to get into the holiday season or have something fun and simple to show off VR during the holidays, then Tippy Tree is the perfect way to do that.
Update 1.1 Coop Multiplayer!
So now, in addition to PVP you can team up together with a friend and face off the snowman army together!
To get into a coop match, start multiplayer as usual and either find each other through your Steam friends list or Quick Match. Then once the level loads, select "COOP" from the settings panel (only the host can choose the settings).
You can choose between 3 fort setups, allowing you to each have your own forts or share one fort together.

2016 Demo Fort Building Contest
To finish up 2016 with a blast, we're giving away 5 Steam keys for the full version of Snow Fortress and 5 copies of the soundtrack. To participate download the demo version of the game and build the coolest fort in any level of the game, then take a screenshot or video capture of it and share it here on the Steam community:

Rules:
- Please submit only 1 screenshot or video per person.
- Judging will be done by our dev team for the 5 Steam keys and our composer will select 5 entries to win the soundtrack. This is just a fun totally subjective competition :) we'll share the winning selections in an announcement. Only criteria is creativity.. please no rude forts though :)
- Deadline is December 31 2016 11:59 PST
- Rewards will be sent out in the first week of January 2017
- Only the levels included in the demo version (1-5) can be used to enter, but you could do this in the full version of the game if you want to win an extra key for a friend.
- Not valid where such contests are prohibited by law
